I have this weird feeling of wanting to explore the continent I was born in. I decided to start somewhere. Any thoughts, opinions, or suggestions is good with me.

That's barely enough time unless you just want to be on the road most of the day. Biking sounds fun but realize mexico is another country, your bike will get stolen fairly easily if you don't plan your route out and stay in safe places.

Buy mobile data for your phone to use in MX.
Ride only during day light. Ride fast as you safely can at night, if it happens.
Have accommodation for each night planned ahead of time.
Bring extra spark plug, tire patch kit, small tool kit. Also buy safety flashlight with strobe feature that blinds.
Enroll in STEP at dept. of state.
Mexico City traffic will be hell.
