How much more expensive is it to travel with two check-in bags as opposed to one?
If this is not against the rules, please change the rules. Please, mods. Idk if just simple bait or some research agencies trolling.

For me both are free.

It's a pretty straightforward question. Do airlines normally charge hefty fees for second bags, or are they moving towards a check in allowance based on total weight, etc?

I fly out of Delta hub, am and Delta Skymiles card member, so for international I get 2 free checked bags. There are cheaper airlines, but when buying tickets properly, I feel like once counting in additional fees and convenience, the price is typically nominal. Even with other alliance members, like China Southern. Last trip to Thailand, China Southern, was $400-$500 cheaper, but once I factored in all of the hidden costs the difference was nominal, and then factored in things like China Southern's delayed flights, and the seeming inability to get a seat next to my wife, Delta was he better value, even if a slightly higher cost. Delta has great partners, like Korean Air, which was a big portion of the Thailand trip, and KLM, which is who I end up on when doing Europe or Middle East, typically.

I am...>>1201835 One bag is mostly empty, and I end up not checking any, or checking one outbound (bag inside a bag). As far as clothes, I typically need at least one formal outfit, semi formal, casual, beach, and I am traveling for 2-3 weeks, typically doing big boy things. And ont he way back, gifts and souvenirs for the family, and in-laws.

Delta for non-Skymiles peeps, its $25 each additional checked bag for international. First free. $25 per checked domestic.
