Hi /trv/,
Not sure if this the right board for this query, please help otherwise.
Was wondering: how's seeking a job in Dubai? Any experience?
Also, what are the best websites to look for jobs in Dubai? I can't find a consensus using Google.
Thanks a lot.

If you're a girl do not pick up a job in the oil industry. It's not a good place to work as a female.

Dubai/UAE as you probably know is an oil magnet nation. It is known as the oil industry. There is a lot of work in the field, I had a friend who worked as a concrete mix engineer on one of the refineries, he works 60hrs/week but makes 6figures.

I am more looking at corporate environments. MNCs with MEA bases in Dubai.
I am hearing rumors saying Dubai is the Singapore of 10 years ago. What do you guys think?

Are you really really sure you want to live in Dubai?
The skyscrapers look nice on photos, but in the end it is still a shithole, quality of life is lower than any modern western nation (Europe/North America). Personal freedom / liberty is basically non-existent. As a westerner, you will get a good job, but all the blue-collar workers are treated like actual slaves. Are you sure that you want to support this kind of country?
If you want to earn a lot and go somewhere that has a future, go to Canada/Switzerland/Singapore/Australia.

>teaching what, english?
International school. TEFL helps get the job but you will still need a degree, and likely teaching credentials
Same question, but for France. Anyone got any ideas ?
