Apart from getting a job as a wildlife camera operator, how do you get to go on trips to rainforests/deserts/the poles?

Rainforests are within reach. Just a trip to Costa Rica.
I did a little of the Sahara (on a camel) a couple years ago as part of a trip to Morocco. There and back from Fez in a cab plus two nights' accommodations (one in a Berber village in the dessert) was $600. So basically get to Fez and have three days free and an extra $600.
The only people I know who did an Antarctic expedition did so with Linblad Expeditions, which puts together luxury cruises to places like Galapagos or rich people. Very expensive stuff. Maybe you could look to get a job with them?

I'd love to visit Fernandinas Island
>Jungle
Going to Costa-Rica in February for two weeks. Will go to the rainforest. Saw it to some extent in Indoensia.
>Desert.
Been to the Sahara, jeep tour through it. Camel rides. White desert with chalk monuments. Desert with massive sand dunes.
>Poles.
I went to Svalbard with my dad when I was about 15. It's not a pole but damn near.
It is possible if you are lucky!
