Travelling to Monterrey, Mexico once a month for pleasure.

Taking a bus down there and have a ride lined up once I get there.

Took this picture the first time I was there, can anyone recommend any local hotspots or interesting things other than the beaten path?

How easy is it to bang girls in Mexico without getting beheaded?
>>
Easy peasy... however they do have a red light district if you're into that.

Beheading are overrated, Monterrey is safer than Dallas.

Are you white? Then easy

This. Monterrey has the hottest girls in Mexico along with Guadalajara desu.

I've been there a couple of times and banged girls I only used to dream of banging. Girls like that in my city think they're goddess and don't even look at you unless you're insanely rich.

I'm tall and white tho so it helps in Mexico.

Godly food too.

My experience with girls in Monterrey is that they all think they're special or "better" than other Mexicans. Here in Texas (my home) they tend to stick together because most people can't stand their attitude.

I've had many a girls in my life, but those are always special because of their attitude and the way they see others.

As far as beautiful is concerned, depends on what your type is. It seems to me that the closer you get to the border, the darker their skin gets. In Monterrey, most people are light skinned not caucasian though.

Went there this summer, only for a few days but it was cool as fuck.

Here's a list of cool shit to see in no particular order:

Presa Rompepicos - locals come here to drink tecate and ride atv's

Mercado Juarez - big ass multi story indoor market with all kinds of crazy shit. Its grimy and run down but the pure spectacle is worth it and the food is insanely cheap

Santiago - cool smaller villa southeast of Monterrey. The main square feels like a Sergio Leone movie and has some really nice traditional restaurants. Mostly richer Mexicans on day trip here

Santa Catarina - Rich suburb of Monterrey, there is a lot of nightlife here. The main entertainment street is lined with clubs and there are Audis/supercars parked along the whole road

Parque Fundidora - Didn't get a chance to go but it is a steel mill turned park apparently. Sounds kinda cool

Macroplaza - The main square, there is always something going on down here and there are some museums/casinos to check out as well.

Again this is just a glimpse of all the shit to see/do in a huge city like Monterrey. If you are looking for women, just about any taxicab driver who picks you up at night as a single male will offer you "table dance" which basically means prostitutes, but on the other hand tinder is pretty easy to get matches on.

Safety is no issue just watch where you're going at night as you would in any major city and even then you'll probably be fine. The soccer team was playing their championship game when I was there and afterwards crowds of people were basically partying through the streets all night and there was zero violence or even arrests the cops were just standing there bored like it happens every week.

Also OP if you're from Texas you should check out an HEB. They have them in Monterrey and they are close to identical to ours, Mexican HEBs carry liquor though.

First of all, thanks for posting this, there is a lot of great info here.

Presa Rompepicos - locals come here to drink tecate and ride atv's

This sounds like fun, hope they have helmets. :D

Secondly, I'm not really into the nightlife anymore but I have gone out for drinks a couple times. I remember the first was a place called "La Caldera", it was a relatively nice place. The environment feels like dining at a fine restaurant with bowling alley music playing in the background, mostly 80s and 90s which are awesome in my opinion. All in all she had a steak dinner which was surprisingly tender, I highly recommend it. I had their infamous tacos which were decent, I remember the 1900 taco which was a mix of cheese and chorizo. Between the two of us we had about 7 or 8 beers and I wound up paying about $50 USD for everything including a $100 Mexican Peso tip I add to the bill. This place was cheap and tasty, I highly recommend checking it out. I also have pictures of the place and food if you guys wanna see it.

The second was a place called "Wings Army", it is a U.S. Armed Forces theme, there is a lot of Marines and Army stuff around. The wings were nothing to brag about but the beer was a whole different story. They have beer from all over the world on display behind the bar and the drink menu was like 4 pages broken down into beer from different countries. Everything from European to Russian and even Argentinian.

I've also been to:

Cola de Caballo, Grutas de Garcia and Chipinque.

Last but not least, I've already got a girl. I ate her out while she was driving down Garza Sada :)

Regio here, you guys got it pretty much covered, except the rich side of the city is San Pedro, not Santa Catarina.

Adding to the list you got there, for nightlife there's:

Bars and clubs: Barrio Antiguo (downtown) Garza Sada Street, San Jeronimo Street, and lots of bars all around San Pedro, most "British themed".

Mainly clubs: Centrito Valle (San Pedro), Linda Vista.

Day entertainment: Huasteca (Santa Catarina), Paseo Santa Lucia (near Downtown), Carretera Nacional (Several sites like cola de Caballo and Presa La Boca)

Nice a bit expensive Restaurants:
Several at Parque Fundidora, Plaza Nuevo Sur (Has an Olive Garden and a Red Lobster plus some Italian, Japanese, and so themed restaurants), El Gaucho, Rey del Cabrito, Gusto de Puebla, Pampas, Gran Pastor, La Nacional.

Monterrey is very popular for having some of the best steaks, meat cuts, in the country, and I really believe some of the best tacos as well.

$1 USD = 20 Mexican Pesos right now so you wont have any money issues honestly.

but we all in Monterrey are special and better than other Mexicans

I'm curious about that Huasteca and Santa Lucia, we tend to stay away from downtown though. :/

If you like museums, MARCO is pretty decent and the building is kinda cool.
