Anybody here ever sign up for workaway?
What are your experiences?
Is it a good way of living somewhere for free (besides travel costs etc) for extended periods of time?
>signed up
>Messaged 6 places with 95%+ response rates
>Got reply from only one
>Sorry anon, we moved continent months ago, but you're welcome to stay with us here instead!

Wrote 2 messages and got an OK 10 hours later from both. Make your profile less creepy.
Stayed in Iceland for 2 months, worked every day, had to get up at 6am every day because I had to milk the cows. After 3 days I knew all of the cow's personalities, my host said nobody ever understood the cows as fast as i did, some never noticed different personalities even after milking them for a month, made me feel pretty good.
Workaway is pretty cool, I'd do it again in a heartbeat if I had the chance, but this years vacation is already planned.
