Going to Barcelona for a week at the end of August. Any insider

Me and my mates went for a 3 day trip in May. Stayed at the Yeah Hostel. Could recommend.
Also, rent a scooter and drive south, taking the C31 towards Sitges. In Barcelona itself: Bunkers del Carmen, Tibidabo and off course the segrada familia (we didn't went up but the main hall is fucking amazing on its own)

Only thing you should avoid is Sagrada Familia. Ugly as fuck.

You have plenty of cool places to eat or drink that not that many people from abroad know of;

Do not go to any restaurant that tries to lure you in by having someone at the door showing you the menu - those people do not deserve to have anyone entering their establishment.

"Bar Marsella", It's a really fucking old bar that has not been touched since god knows when.
Eat something, drink a couple beers somewhere, "nevermind" is a good option, and then go there. Ask for some "absenta" (absinthe), that's the ultimate warmup before going out. the Bar it's awesome looking and the area where it is it's really interesting (Raval), The good Clubs are at "Marina" (the area where "Razzmatazz" is) And "Paral·lel" (where "sala Apolo" is)

It's filthy and no one that is a Local goes there, try the towns surrounding Barcelona like "Masnou" You can be there in 30min by train, "Castelldefels" and "Sitges" are quite nice too.

You have to see it, it's Ramblas, but just go there once, after that visit the surrounding neighborhoods ("Raval" and the "Gothic Quarter")
