Tentative plan to visit Europe this winter, 30 days. Took advice from last time and cut it down significantly.

I'd skip Poland and Germany and check Balkans/Albania. If you really wanna see something "different". They are not dangerous anymore and very cheap on top of that. You'll have demo Germany in Austria and Poland isn't particulary interesting at all.
