I go to Houston for some uni stuff soon, and I'll have about two weeks to travel afterwards. I don't drive, and I will be travelling alone. What cities/places around Houston are okay without a car? I'm considering New Orleans.

New Orleans should be okay without a car. Houston is too big and hot to be waiting on meager transit. Light rail isn't that extensive. Get a driving licence at home so you can rent a car.

Cool, I probably will go to New Orleans. Amtrak and Megabus (sounds fishy, but eh) seem to be possible. During my stay in Houston I will be with other people, and we'll have a car.
Any idea about San Antonio / Dallas / Austin?
Austin and San Antonio are fun. Lots of traffic I. Austin. New Orleans is cool too. I'm about 2 hours from there. Never go, but still fun when I do
Goto to Austin. You'll get to see lot more than New Orleans. NOLA is overrated.
Although you have Uber in Houston, you won't have it in Austin. So renting a car is your best bet.

Megabus isn't fishy, I've taken it from Houston to New Orleans about 10 times and it always went fine, and is also very cheap. Just be sure your luggage is the right size bc they will tell you you can't bring it even if it is just slightly too big

>I went to Bourbon street and cafe du monde and didn't like them
Fuck you fucking bitch faggot

Austin is a great city to walk around and find small things to do, also there is good music every night, and some hiking in/around the city. San Antonio, Houston and Dallas aren't boring but you do need a car
New Orleans would be the most fun, there are lots of things to do close to each other like Austin but it also has everything New Orleans is famous for. If you did a bit of research you'd have an exciting thing to do every day/night

People get stabbed in mcdonalds too
If you are scared of taking the megabus you need to pull up your panties
>>1129818
Well you sound like those people who base their woldview off anectodes and blog posts
The megabus is ridden by normal people who need to go normal places, albeit mostly lower class ones.
The main danger is probably their customer service--it's very below average and buses break down frequently. But show me the statistics on the percentage of megabus riders that get physically harmed before claiming it's a risk to personal safety

>NOLA is overrated
shit taste
If anyone is wondering, OP's pic is not a real place.

Show me the satelite image then because this op one is photoshopped and there is no logical reason a junction has this much changeing lanes. I know my shit. I've driven quite a few of them, including the biggest one in the world.

There's a beltway expressway around Accra,Ghana called the George Bush motorway.
