There's an EuroNight train Silesia which supposedly has direct cars Krakow-Budapest. It leaves Krakow at 21:58 and comes to Budapest at 8:37. But be sure to check more info as some cars go to Vienna.
But I guess Polskibus will be much cheaper and it's also faster (only 7 hours) as the road is more direct. One leaves Krakow, Bosacka at 13:05 the other one at 22:50
I used to make that journey a few times a month and I usually took the Eurobus which leaves Krakow at night and arrives in Budapest at around 6-7am. It usually cost me around 14 euros.

I did the overnight train. Don't do it, I regretted it so much. Paid a shit-load for my ticket to have to share a tiny 6 bed cabin with a bunch of drunk obnoxious Irish guys. Get a bus.
OP here.im going to take the eurobus like another said.i wanted to do the night train for the experience , but since is expensive as fuck i rather catch the bus.
