Yesterday I wasn't able by finishing the summary of my story I had in mind.
(The one that I fortunatly changed after...well the things with the Humans etc.)

The first character and part of the story would be arround the middle ages.
During that time smaller animals where degraded for to be Farmers, workers, etc. the jobs that where you didn't got much.
Larger Animals being the stronger ones made the nobels and clerical class.
But there are some exceptions, there is a noble house of otter who is well known for their navy and sailors.
Bunnies have it during that time especially hard, they make most of the farmers and food producer.
They have to work nearly 24/7 and are even thretenead to become the food themself, if they wouldn't fulfill their quote.

Until onenday because of an incident a noblewoman has to stay during some time in the land and fields of the bunnies, where she sees the unfair threatment of them.

She decides that things have to change drastically.

Second character plays a role during the funding of Zootopia.
A group of goverments decides that as a sign for "peace among animal kind." there should be a city built for all animals.
For that a group of ambassadors and advisors is assigned to negotiate everything, among them, the protagonist.
It comes to problems, things are heating up.
Promises are broken and backstabbing is also on the daily routine.
At the end even live has to be left.

The third story plays at the beginning of the 20.century. A disease overshadowes Zootopia.
It makes people aggresive, foam comes out of the mouth and it's higly infective.
Fear, destruction and panik also make the living conditions not better for the citizens.
The whole city is under quarantine and people are losing more and more hope, that something can be done.
But a doctor and his assistand don't think about giving up.
They try to find a cure, even if it's going to be the end of them.

The 30s is the time where the fourth story takes place.
One war might be over, but the next stated sooner than expected.
Whilest the millitary of Zootopia is not involved this time, a group of war reporters is send down to the war zones so they can make a picture of what is happening and also if convention is violated.
Unfortunatly their vehicle gets hit and so they are strandet midst the war-zone.
As good as they can they try to hold on and also try to collect as much data as possible, to show Zootopia the horror of war again.

The fourth story plays at first not in Zootopia but in the equivalent of Italy.
After the murder of nearly everyone of his relatives, the same fate should now happen to thr son of a death crime boss.
But fate plays another role and he gets saved, more by luck than pn purpose.
The live saver and the crime boss son decide to head to the "City with great opportunities" with the Idea to create something great, also because the last relatives of the crime boss's son live there.

The last story, like the one before also dosen't take place at Zootopia, at least at first.
Tensions are building up between some states, and once again it looks like the world is going to war.
Of the Eastern side a General is assigned with a mission to spread the influence of his country, even if he has to take not so legal ways.
Making his way up to the ranks and also tie some relationships.
He wants to fulfill his plan, to make his country the winner in this battle of tension and bring a city and its whole country down.

I wonder how countries would form in Zootopia's world since usually they are formed due to a common language, culture or, in some cases, isolation. If species have their own cultures, I would find it hard to believe that they would create a nation together. Language might be an easier answer, but that would suggest a certain level of interaction constantly between all animals in the area... which would probably blend all the cultures together anyway.

Now I am imagining a Zootopia version of the unification of Germany.

That could somewhat be its origins; it is mentioned that, thousands of years ago, Zootopia was just a watering hole (that you can even see in a park fenced off) where predators and prey made peace. That doesn't exactly mean they lived together; predators probably lived with other predators, and prey with prey, only interacting with each other for trade and other business. At some point, where civilization starts to progress and expand, the tribes have no choice but to start sharing space peacefully, lest they restart a feud with each other again to kick the other out.

Thus Zootopia was born, probably one of the first cities, if not the first, to have predator and prey living together rather than in separate communities.

On a side note, I somewhat wished that the watering hole was given more emphasis. Seems like a neat little part of the world that was mentioned one time.
