That's similar but way better than what I had in mind.
My idea was an episode about Luna confessing to Sam, only to not have her feelings reciprocated because Sam doesn't swing that way. Luna is bummed for a good chunk of the episode and it takes a pep talk and reassurance from her family to get over her depression. Then she'd realize that love wasnt what she needed at the moment in life and decides to focus on bettering herself more.

I am just open for anything really, as long as there is some effort put into the writing.

For all I care the follwing can happen:

- Luna comes out to her family and is supported cause, well she is family. Anythign in term of relationships being then just future background fodder

- Sam and her beocming a couple, but as something that progresses over time and feels organic without overstaying its welcome (like lets say Mordecai in Regular Show with Margareth)

- Sam does not feel the same for Luna and Luna learns to deal with the rejection and find happiness on her own in some other way.

I don't have as much a preference as what shall happen, as long as it is good and manages to not drag the show into a PSA or distract form what makes LH entertaining for me as a whole.
You know, let LH still be LH, gay/bi Luna or not.
Not turn it into Steven Universe, where everyone think it is progressive but the shows overall quality in writing sucks and comes off as anticlimatic.

It is just that currently it feels "pandering" because we don't know what to make out of it or what it may mean for the future. If it is just another facet of the character that may be explored in the future, I think it is good and may even become one of the better cases of "representation" in children media. At least better than in Legend of Korra, where the creator was arrogant enough to come at tumblr and jerk off about how progressive they were because of last second hand holding at the end of the show.

The Luna thing at least now has potential if the show keeps running. KorraSami did not.
