Well, it's not a fully thought-out process, but I see what I can do.
First, ideas for TT are like my drawings: many times I don't even think of what I'm doing. It is safe to say that frequently I don't decide what I draw, I let the hand go until I have something.
TT is similar: first I focus on the theme and all the possible variations of it in the Zootopia universe. Let's take for example the P.I. theme.
P.I. means private investigator, so Noir. But one can do a P.I. story without recurring to the Noir theme. Also was there a show with P.I. in the name? These are some ideas.
And I chose the latter.
Once I choose a general idea I then choose the characters. Who would fit? Canon? OC?
Then, based on the characters, I refine the idea, adapting it to them.
E.g. Opposite Day: I wanted to take some scenes and draw the opposite of them, regarding the characters' roles. I decided to do one with Duke and one with Mrs. Otterton. I then chose the scenes based on the characters.

Sometimes technology just decides to have a seizure and stop working. Just today at my work, one of our external HD's decided to suddenly stop working right. Files are still there, but for some reason they won't load properly.

Hopefully, it's fixable with a few rounds of copy-paste-format, but if not, then nearly half a TB of video projects and footage will be rendered completely shit gone.

Years ago I used to draw with just a mouse, but there's no way I can do what I was doing with a tablet with a mouse. Mostly due to my shaky hands and a lack of pen sensitivity.

I got a Huion H420 - literally the cheapest tablet I could find on Amazon. It's my first so I just wanted something cheap to practice on.

I knew I don't have the hand-eye coordination for a simple digitalizer tablet... and tablet monitors are simply way too expensive. So I settled with a used "convertable tablet pc" that I managed to get for a cheap price from an auction site. It doesn't has as much levels of pressure sensetivity. Compared to your tablet's 2048 levels, mine has 255, so sometimes it acts weird, even when I think I apply the same pressure, it acts differently. But I'm comfy using it, because I see what I draw, where I draw it. Also I can travel with it, draw anywhere without needing a lot of setup and space.

Huion GT-220v2, a great and affordable tablet monitor.

Positive:
22 inch, 2048 pressure levels and really nice look.

Negative:
One dead pixel and one burnt-in spot, but that doesn't bother me too much.
Something that's more than bothering though is the fact that I can't draw curves/circles without some random straight lines now and then. (see attached pic) Works fine in Photoshop though.

That aside though it was well worth the price.

I've got one of the bigger bamboo's, it's been alright for me. The drawing area's starting to get pretty worn out after like four years, and I'm chewing through the pen at a good rate.

Haven't had any problems with the sensors, but like I was saying earlier, the port's coming loose and has connection trouble

Huion GT 190 Really love this tablet, been using it non-stop for the past 2 years.

Defects: The driver compatibility for some programs is shit. Wanted to try Krita but the calibration turns to shit once I attempt to draw on the canvas. Great for SAI, Photoshop, Flash, and a few other programs though.

I'll keep that in mind. Though I was thinking of the reader being immersed of the character realizing he's in a story and trying to steer it toward whath e wants, rather than character talking about the story itself.

Though at this point it ends being less of a Zootopia fic and more of a meta one and Zootopia is just the backdrop, I kinda dislike doing those more than working with very different from canon AUs.

There have been a few (fanfic's in this case) One was Nick was pretty much a yandere when it came to Judy, but she doesn't know how fucked up he is.

The writing is ass at best though. And trying to make Nick like that they author just made him crazy and so far off even his most basic template of a character. So it's not even worth a read with how weak it is.

The only other one that I know of, honestly had a pretty great promise but it's just a one shot. And most of it spent time with a really graphic torture/murder scene that was pretty vile.

Basic concept was this. Recent weeks and months have seen a large influx of murderers happening in the city. The kicker is it's only vixens getting killed. No one else. But they have all been brutal disemboweling and dismemberment, and they were all alive when they had those things happened to them. Nick and Judy was simply being told about it at roll call OR they were assigned it. (Don't remember.)

After the day ends Judy tells Nick that she is busy, and wanted to take care of her small garden/green house she decided to get for a hobby recently. Nick wants to go with her but she rebuffs him. (It's her alone time and Nick doesn't want to test her.)

The green house wasn't a green house though. (Or i think it was and it changed? Don't remember.) The most recent Vixen that has disappeared is there, and Judy was the one to steal her away. Revealed that Judy was the murderer, and sometime after she got Nick back after the Nighthowler case. She pretty much snapped but was able to keep her insanity hidden from everyone. All the vixens were simply ones that passed Nick&Judy on the street or talked with Nick at some point in time.

Judy feels threatened that Nick would be taken from her thus she kills them first. But Nick is just friends with Judy at this point. And Judy says that he is just taking his time and building up his courage to admit his feelings for her. (Up in the air if that was the truth or not.)

I can't lie, that one was amusing to me, and would have been entertaining if it was dragged out. Though it probably would have tripped over in its attempt, so either way.

You know, the funny thing is I could see Judy being afraid of losing her friendship with Nick again, or at least not going to take it for granted because of the press conference scene. Probably could create some level of insecurity in Judy of "I better not fuck up again"; not anything that takes up a large part of her focus, but just a hidden fear in the back of her mind.

I think I would have honestly wanted to read more of it, if it just didn't feel like I was reading some generic crazy character acting out.

I honestly rather enjoy when fic's have Judy worried she can lose him again and play with it a bit. It works nicely into her even having an abandonment complex. (Granted I only say it used once before. At least form what I remember, Something along the lines of "Oh shit, I fucked up again. And now I am losing him again and the only one I have to blame his myself."
