Anyone else HATE Violet?
alweys rember to just b urself
>>9893372
I hate her so much I wish Nick would tie her to a chair and force her to watch him roleplay raping Judy in front of her.
>>9893354
Fucking b.stats. Why?
http://www.ztarchive.com/trash/thread/9886260
>>9893109
> I will admit, the cuck and cheating greens have almost killed Violet for me as well.
>But, if we can make characters out of Jack, Skye, Bucky and Pronk, Honey, Finnick, hell Emmitt Otterton who doesn't say a single word in the entire movie, then we can probably make a personality and scenario for Violet that isn't a cucking cold-headed sociopath or the sweet little angel that picks up Nick's broken heart.
I agree fully. Well mostly. Jack, Skye, Honey altough not canon, had some interesting settings presented for them that we could work with. Skye, smart spy-engineer, Jack the "super" spy, Honey the crazy conspiracy theorist... Violet is just one of Judy's older sisters. There is a chance for us to expand her, but none of it will be "universal".
I could go with:
>She is a psychiatrist.
>One day a troubled young-adult fox enters her office.
>She recognized him. Gideon Gray, the bastard who srached her little sister's face.
>She doesn't say a word about it though. She choose this profession to help anyone who needs it.
>She sits him down, and asks him tell her what is troubing him.
>He is houted by childhood trauma, of being bullied for being a fox.
>They talk many times, until he opens up to the fact that he indeed became the bully himself
>He returned their hate with hate.
>She is helping him accept that only love can make other people give him love.
>Week after week she helps him deal with his problems of the past, so he can focus on the future.
>He feels like he fully recovered. He picked up a new hobby, he says.
>As a thanks and parting gift, on their last session, he gives her a pie.
>It's delicious. Made with love.
Abortba next comic is going to feature Nick and Judy getting together with their old ex-lovers, Nick getting with his previous girlfriend and Judy with a lover she left because she went to Zootopia, and now that she is supposedly going back to Bunnyburrow for whatever reason, try to get together again. We have confirmation that Nick love interest will be a Twitter user Arctic Fox - Rat hybrid, can we expect Judy previous boyfriend to be a Hare/Bunny Tiger/Zebra hybrid? Named Jaja, standing for "Jamilson" and also Brazilian slang for "right there" and not a reference to Jack Savage.
Discuss.
>>9893387
Yeah me too.
>>9893405
You do not like NickxViolet so you ship Violet with Gideon?!?!?
Fool! Gideon does not deserve happiness.
>>9893424
He already confirmed that Judy won't even be mentioned in the next comic
>>9893447
Yes, it will be on the one after it. My mistake.
>>9893447
Apparently there was some comment from borba that the comic afterward would be "Judy returning home and rediscovering an old love"?
What are your thoughts on WUTBurrows now that Mead confirmed that it is set before JiD?
>>9893468
Why the fuck should I care
>Al Velvet canonical swinger relationship

>>9893479
Porn Street isn't canon
>>9893468
Not much. Just more water under the bridge.
>>9893468
hate when artists forcibly connect their works when they are just fine as seperate stories.
I do not need JiD ablooAU, and I will never see any story connected to it as remotely possible/believable.
post comfy sleepyheads
>>9893492
but the characters are written like their canon selves, maybe not a swinger relationship with avo, but any other girl/guy is able to be canon
>>9893468
Well, Duh!
>>9893468
I did not hear that, and I hope is not true.
That would make this a prequel story, and those are rubbish.
An story loses 80% of it's apeal when you KNOW that they will not end up happy, no matter what happens.

>>9893441
violetgideon is less of a crackship than nick violet, Judy saved his life... if he just went with another girl he'd be stupid.. its just not really believable, in the end no girl will affect his life as much as judy did...
>>9893548
>>9893560
I really like this kind of asymmetrical sleepyhead, where one person is awake and the other is sleeping with or on them.

>>9893591
>>9893557
I'm afraid I fell for it. Just came back from tumblr and since I haven't seen anything remotely close to this post, I quickly came to realize I was most probably fooled.
I like JiD AU. But only by it self as a one-shot. I don't need other stories that takes place in that AU.
>>9893599
>>9893604
>>9893572
This is interesting too. Its an asymmetrical sleepyhead, but I like how Judy dreams she's on a pillow rather than sleeping in Nick's tail. The fact that its removed from each other in her dreams is an interesting effect.
>>9893588
I like the Straight Man/Funny Man sleepyheads too, where one person sleeps funny and the other is 'normal'. Hammocks are also fun and very in-Zoot IMO.
>>9893606
My first request!
>>9893609
>>9893595
seems fake.
Or Mead is shitposting to find out, whenever he should do it or not.
>>9893616
>>9893619
I did not realize how much of my sleepyheads folder was asymmetrical until just now
>>9893607
Animalistic vs 'regular'! Usually its Nick curled up like a fox rather than Judy sleeping like a bunny. Why is that? How do bunnies look when they're asleep?

Nothing better than awkward body position. In real life its super hard to get comfortable sleeping with people because we don't fit together like a Lego and we toss and turn in our sleep.
It can be funny when someone can't sleep because of it, but its also sweet when they make it work regardless.
>>9893645
Its rare to see Judy being the one who can't sleep because of Nick. Another rare category of sleepyhead!

I actually really like exhausted/narcoleptic sleepyheads because it gives a lot of pathos to the characters, and makes the situation very casual yet accepting. No formal bedwear, just sleeping wherever because you're both tired as hell.

Stuffed animals! Seeing a plushie or a teddy is really cute, and thinking about what kind of plushie they'd have and how they'd sleep with it (hugging, like a pillow, next to them, ignored, on a shelf) is another layer of character building.
>>9893753
Its wonderful! I love how they're so accepting of one another despite it being in public, during dinner, upright, drooling and lolling their tongues.
>>9893764
>exhausted/narcoleptic sleepyheads

>>9893785

>>9893783
And the last and rarest sleepyhead: getting ready in the morning.
The key is to play with how awake they are while they go through routine. Brushing and flossing, getting coffee, stretching, wiping sleep from your eyes-- its amazing. IMO there is a point where characters can be too 'awake' and it becomes more an 'everyday routine' picture than a true sleepyhead. Contrast is great with these too.
Alright, I need to get ready for work! Thank you for joining me in a sleepyhead dump!
>>9893826
>getting ready in the morning

Morning zoots! On a scale of 1-11, how comfy are you right now.
I'm a 1 cause I feel bad for having not been doing my comfy messages in so long!! Things have just been getting busier and busier (and admittedly, lots of fun too) And ive neglected my comfy message duties and been sleeping earlier then usual. I will try my best for more consistent comf messages in the future.
>>9893785
You know, I know according to the crime files game wedding rings are existing thing but... i don'T think every mammal uses it.
We got 2 confirmed wives in the movie, Mrs.Otterton and Bonnie Hopps, and neither of them wears a ring.

Calling it now, Judy is going to start talking about Max or have something come up involving him. So we won't have to have Judy answering Nick.
Or have her start talking about how it's difficult getting over Max and switching her affections over to Nick. Which is why she seems to still be ashamed/embarrassed being with him.
Really though, I feel that there is going to be a subplot that reveals Judy still isn't over Max. Like straight up cheating or some shit soon is on the horizon. Spin loves that creature enough, I wouldn't put it past her.

Least I could do, right?
The commission did not come out exactly as I had wanted but in the cover form, it masks some of the issues I had.
We talk sometimes about Remmy being an "unreliable" narrator, but I think it's more about reading between the lines, or missing tone and context.
For instance, in the scene in Field Day where everyone's pulling the "omegas can't fuck" prank, he narrates himself dismissing their obvious joke and calmly walking out of the room, but it's pretty clear he practically runs out bawling. He presents it as smooth but when he shows up at Al's door he's out of breath and looks like he's been crying.
And in re-reading it, I just noticed this important detail. See if you can catch it:
>"But Omegas CAN fuck, right?" I ask bluntly. "I mean, that's not -- you guys are just putting me on, right?"
>Awkward silence ensues.
>"You really don't know much about pack dynamics do you," Charlie asks.
>"Wow. I'm sorry you had to find out this way, Remmy," Annie says in an uncharacteristically somber display.
>"Yeah, you guys are really fuckin' funny. Look, I'll be right back," I announce to nobody in particular, sliding to my hooves and trotting towards the front door. "I left something at my apartment."
>Without waiting for a response, I quickly toss the door open and head out into the hallway, making a beeline straight for the upper level. I've gotta ask somebody to clarify this. Anneke's the type to mess with me, and Marty's probably still sore at me after I got him good over on Flock Street, but for Charlie to be backing it up, too? No, there's no way in hell this can be real. If it is, I'm revoking my own Pack membership.
Did you catch it?
Remmy never closes the door behind him.
He runs out of the room in such a waddling hurry he leaves the door wide open.
Smooth.

In fanfiction, WildeHopps over exaggerates drama and arguments at times. Obviously there is going to be times where people are too stubborn and prideful to talk like adults, because people are stupid, but usually a healthy relationship of any kind, romantic or not, has good communication.
But, just for attention or drama or FEELYABLOOS, writers stuff in as much miscommunication/abuse/cheating/arguing/etc as possible.
>>9896951
They probably make them much tougher than we make ours.
>>9896951
Zootopian technology probably designed very durable screens to accommodate sharp-clawed animals
>>9896857
I mean yeah... I like the fics where there the love is more of a subplot, and there is something else providing the tension... All this drama gets a bit booring.
She kissed him TWICE already (more, she nearly fucked him, if he didn't told her to wait and tell her to wait) Jumping between 0 and 100 so many times whitin one comic is unforgivable.
>>9896951
Smartphone screens are super hard.
Gorilla Glass has a hardness of 7 and that synthetic sapphire stuff is a 9.
Claws are relatively soft, when you're talking about a mineral scale. Keratin's around a 2.5 according to the Googles, so there's no way it'll scratch a smartphone.

I rarely see anything resembling a normal relationship with both, even if I'm considering predprey interspecies and comparing with IRL stuff of homossexual or other relationships that people see badly. It doesn't make a relationship good, it makes it exciting obviously, but eh. I can't even read most comics and fics because they try to stand only on relationship, and I can't really be bothered to think "oh god this is so worldsplitting" but Nick and Judy are just two normal people (somewhat), and them breaking up or ending together when compared to city tension or whatnot is so eh. Sometimes the comics put the "you can't have relationship because it will affect your performance" argument, and well it is right, isn't it?
>>9897029
I don't even know what the comic is about anymore, I don't remember seeing Bucky or Pronk. I just think people write them always on this abloo drama and I think it blew my caring fuse of it.

>Sometimes the comics put the "you can't have relationship because it will affect your performance" argument, and well it is right, isn't it?
That argument annoys me more than really should; I can only remember one story that settled that issue fairly quickly and simple. Judy and Nick both came to the conclusion that they would rather "start and end the day together rather than the other way around" if Bogo broke them up as partners. Otherwise, the whole "working together while in a relationship is bad" idea just further increases the drama, and usually becomes a mute point later on. I feel like Nick and Judy's friendship could survive their relationship not working out anyway.
>>9897522
please post the original image from the display
>>9896339
Oh, and this one
>>9897563
Oh no, I agree. The problem is, some fics clearly make them working together a problem, even more so because they put the idea that after they break up they always try to get reassigned somewhere else, which for someone running the precinct things FUCKING SUCKS. So here you have two officers who are actively fucking shit up due to some love triangle or miscommunication and it's alright because they are the best officers in the whole Zootopia and everyone bows to their whim.
One example would be Officer Needs Assistance, where Judy and Nick being interested on each other caused such a massive fucking shitstorm that even the whole precinct had been on low moral with Chief Bogo being desperately trying to keep things working. Yeah, you want to put it under the rug with "and everything worked out fine!", but if I was there I'd fucking be wary of other officers getting too lovey dovey with their partners.
There are fics that they actually remain pretty professional on the field after some issue, but those are that way mostly because they don't actually show them working at all.

I hate the idea of them being the best fucking officers in all of Zootopia. Judy has determination in spades and the luck of being underestimated, Nick has people skills and the inside look into a criminals mind, and both seem to know the law like the back of their hand. They would still be a liability during arrests/riots involving medium-sized mammals, let alone the smallest of mega fauna. They would be life savers during situations concerning smaller animals more close to their own size, but otherwise they have strengths and weaknesses like any other ZPD officer.
>Officer Needs Assistance
That fic reminded me of "Mistakes" in the sense that the universe had every star in existence align just so drama could fucking happen. Judy goes into heat (fuck that trope), apparently it is so bad she can't control herself (fuck that trope too), there isn't any medication for it so she can FUNCTION (because any other time the heat/horny bunnies trope comes up there is meds SO WHERE ARE THEY HERE?!), Judy decides to freak the fuck out and not explain anything to Nick, instead chooses to run away instead of at least trying to fix her fuck up. And this is not even getting into some of the shit Nick does in that fic...
Does anyone have the new zoot rolling image with the wikipedia link?
Is there some new historical zoot content?
>>9898814
I'm ok with the idea of Judy being able to subdue a large mammal when she catches them off guard, and manages to get a cheap shot in at their head to disorient them. Anyone who's like "ok, not about to let a rabbit kick me" should be a problem for her. Them being good cops when given uneven odds is very hit or miss for me

I dislike the idea of best cops of the city but honestly they got an amazing lead on a case nobody had any idea what was going on in less than a week time. Sure there was such a metric fuckton of luck but still, if the rest had shown they at least had something to go on I wouldn't have this feeling. Even with larger mammals and whatnot they are written as better simply so they have wriggle room when they pull a "YOU'RE A LOOSE CANNON, GIVE ME YOUR BADGE!".
Yeah, the fic is a bit shaky, a lot of it is really scummy from Judy. But that's kind of what I meant. They aren't fit to be partners, you can argue what you want about how they can make it work and how "real life is messy everybody makes mistakes they were running on emotions" etc garbage and that's fine, if you want them as boyfriend and girlfriend. Not as fucking officers working together.
I just want a happy ending with my fucking Disney movie fanfiction.
If I wanted to read some real shit, I'd fuck off to read Crime and Punishment or something.

Monkey see monkey do. Especially with people writing cheap melodrama getting way more attention than people writing anything else.
Also a lot of budding writers and no-names finally get some attention and want to be known for their deep, thoughtful, mature themes and plot. "Oh, I never read bad endings, that means bad endings are rare and unique, I gotta make that!".
As always I am terrible setting deadlines.
Between work and other drawings I can't complete the drawing even today. But, to show that I am not slacking and also because I know there a couple of people interested in the process of creation, I've put in pic related the sketch of the MILF drawing.

So guys, how did you all first find /ztg/? Have you been here from the beginning or is this your first time here? And if you've been here for a while, what made you stay? Why do you keep coming back?

>>9900209
A friend of mine rented the movie and brought it over, I searched for /ztg/ almost as soon as the movie ended.
>>9900209
I was aware of it back when it was on /co/ or whatever back when the general hadn't been moved, but I found this place and /trash/ a couple months back.
I had been off 4chan for maybe a couple years at that point, and I didn't even know /trash/ existed. I found them both when I was googling my fic to see if I had missed any criticism that wasn't on FF.
i want Bellwether to be my wife
>>9900209
I found it right at the end of the /co/ days.
I keep coming back because I like the world of Zootopia and I enjoy the wonderful world-building that /ztg/ anons have kept up all these months.
I've been browsing since the pre-release hype threads on /co/. Then the great hotpocketing happened and I came here.
I'm still here because the community is pretty great and the CCs are still plenty active
>>9900209
Horse-photographer is my husbando. I'm just hanging around the threads until he gets a speaking role in Zootopia 2.
>>9899885
First found after browsing the catalog for drawthreads, had already found some things that I enjoyed of Zootopia on e-hentai and seeing Mead and Weaver here made me want to stick around. That was, like June 2016?
What made me stay was the content+community. I kind of feel embarrassed since at the start I felt like this place wasn't 4chan at all since people tried to at least be nice. I take how you guys act here for granted but when I browse other boards I remember where I am.
>Why do you keep coming back?
Hard hitting question for me right now, I feel like my interest already waned due to some stuff both in real life and in the fandom (and I'm fickle as fuck). I kind of have a promise to deliver something here, and I still haven't. I don't want to leave without delivering it.
>>9900209
I saw that Wannabite comic by weaver float around on the web, and it eventually lead me here on /trash/ back when we were in the 300k posts; back in, like, May.
I've been a writefag, and most people like my work, and that keeps me going.
I stay for the (you)s and 'cause I like most of you heathens.

>>9900209
Found it (and stayed here) when I was browsing the threads on /b/ and /co/ in March.
I stayed for the people and the environment here, comfy and always full of content and ideas and wonderful people, and this is the reason I keep coming back. Also these threads gave me so much that I feel the need to give more and more.

Writers have been putting out a stream of quality. Some first timers even.
Comic started a podcast where he reads stuff with content creators.
Lots of CCs came back. EK, Skunk Foxbutt, KK, Hasty, Canidae and Lucius even. Inky is sick.
Weaver is Wishgranter. Is alive.
Reply is sad cause he has trouble working on Branch I think. We love him anyway.
