Nah, you have done good in imitating his style.
If you want a suggestion, be careful with how you represent the orientation of objects/pieces of body in the setting: except some exceptions (like the muzzle in 6), you have a tendency of forcibly pushing them in a horizontal plane (e.g. the weasel paws and muzzle in 1 and the legs in 6), you draw only the side of them. This gives a "flat" appearance to the drawing. Try a construction of a body with geometric shapes (cylinders and spheres) in a 3/4 view to see what I mean

Mead isn't perfect; hell, the sloppy way JiD ended and the fact that WutB is a sequel to a highly contentious fanfic are proof of that.

But mead KNOWS how to get emotion, genuine emotion without completely mangling the characters. Chief Wilde might've been a bitter, sad old man, but at least he wasn't pretending to be the same Nick from the movie; at least he had the excuse of years of trauma to excuse it.

Borba is a comedy writer, and a mediocre one at best. His art is great, but the best I can say is that maybe his humor was lost in translation. You'd have the "Nick thinks he fucking killed Judy" comic, then the "Stu talks about how Bonnie cucked him for 4-5 pages" comic, and even the "Judy tries to look sexy for Nick, and they fuck" comic.

Nothing too bad or too good, but at least they didn't try to pretend they were saying anything deeper than they actually were. IWS tries to portend this, and fails utterly because of a simple reason:

It isn't a Zootopia comic, it's an abortion "debate" comic that just so happens to star Zootopia characters. And it's not even done that well.

But in the end, I could over look even that, if not for the fact that Borba is an arrogant shit and ignores legit critique/criticism. Say what you will about Mead's story telling, to the best of my knowledge, he's never played elitist to his audience about his work.

When one sees things like self-insert, Mary Sues, extreme OOC, cheap drama and a plot that would fit the original work (and the basic rules of narrative) like a square peg in a round hole, one should admit that that work is shit.

The only good thing that I saw coming out of that terrible comic is that it shows how a comic isn't only made of pretty art, but also of good writing.
