Some requester on the drawthread got pissed off over something and went ballistic. They've spammed the board at least three times in the past few days. It will be a meme for 2 weeks, probably.
Other users cite the drawthread being clogged with bad, recurring, unfulfilled requests and unfriendly requesters to the drawers, but that's besides the point.
Spam is an enforced global rule, and mods do respond to reports, so do your part when you see spam.

I know you like old computer art so I drew(typed?) your bun on my osborne. It was a long and stupid (but fun) process to figure out how to do it but it worked sort of. Next time I'd use different characters though.

Tapered lines are easy to get in MS Paint, but is absolutely tedious to make. You just gotta build up line then you erase/or color over where you wants points and different widths.

I use paint.net for each individual frame then put them together in EZGif. It can be a bit tedious if you want to edit frames but the end result is usually good.

oh i downloaded paint.net because i thought it was mspaint 2.0. and it kinda is, but i feel the lines are kinda weird, don't like em too much. maybe i'm just biased

still, here is what i used https://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/31629-animated-images/ give it a try if you want. after 20 layers the thing slowed down to a crawl and sometimes crashed. idk if it's the addon, paint.net or my pc

i had to check it out to be sure i was not just... imagining things. it turns out mspaint tries to fix your lines, just a little bit. meanwhile paint.net doesnt care and lets you see your ugly lines the way they truly are
i'm talking about the 1 and 2 px pencil/brush without anti aliasing

This is the best picture I got before my batteries died so I'll try to get a better picture tomorrow. It's just a shame that I can't capture just how awesome it looks irl in a photograph. Best results when looked at from a distance.

Thanks again for making this artwork for me and I'm sorry it took so long to reproduce. I tried a whole bunch of different characters to see what looked best. Turns out the X's for eyes didn't really work out on camera so maybe I'll try something else next time.

ive never heard of krita, but have you tried sai? as far as i know it works quite well on old pcs, if thats whats giving you trouble. on the other hand its quite basic i think. its not free but it has a trial version.

Sai is one I'm considering, yeah, although I hear it's a bit outdated. Krita is an open-source program that has a lot of nice features, but it fucking chugs on my machine once I start working at sizes greater than 3000x3000 or so. I would just start using Manga Studio, but it doesn't seem to be compatible with a piece of software I use that adds touchscreen buttons for keyboard shortcuts.

I found the folder of a game I was working on in March last year. Contrary to what I thought, this was my first proper attempt at pixel art. Here's the one sprite I don't now think is completely abysmal.

I was going to go back to it and re-draw the art then I recoiled in horror at how bad my earliest attempts at Construct 2 were when I had no idea how to use it.

Oh, turns out the OpenGL fix stopped being an issue in Krita 3.0. I'd already had the memory limit turned up pretty high (12 GB out of 16 GB) but increasing the internal memory pool size and swap file size seems to have fixed the problem, at first glance.

Whenever I can't think of what to doodle I just do drawing exercises so that my hand will do what my brain tells it to if I get an idea.
I find it to be almost hypnotic to just sit down and see how far I can get in a single stroke before I lose control and it stops being smooth.
And every now and then my brain pick up on a pattern or shape in the mess of lines that I can then open a new canvas to see if I can make something out of it.
Not to mention how fucking great it feel when things are going alright and how failure just makes me want to try again so that I'll get it right.

Yeah I definitely took that arcade mentality too far. It didn't help that I was playing SuperHot and Hotline Miami around the same time.

As for the leaderboards i can't do anything about that aside from sending the score, that's all handled on Scirra's end.
