The hope that this place would return to glory, the thought that I'd maybe finish something I started for once, following the quests that still ran when they ran. I dunno, probably all the above and then some.

When you finally stand close to the trouncing Ursa, it stops its relentless howling and flailing and rests itself easy while shooting you a leer with its golden eyes when you raise Sarge's barrel by its skull.
