I agree, only problem is that this would go against the premise set by BoneyM's A Rabbit Clan's Fox. So I was recently thinking about Pack Street,

(I want to make clear I do not make any real life race/class comparisons and this is only about the world of Zootopia/PS)

I noticed that there is this kind of a bias against prey. Since the start prey are being portrayed in a bad light. When some prey appears they are practically always an asshole, there was Velvet's bro, that cunt ewe, asshole pig, that dipshit stag and all of the prey onlookers, the bunnies that broke Wolter's heart, Al's rodent bosses, Remmy's boss and probably family...

The only prey that are good in the stories are Velvet, who got and still gets a lot of shit for the Fall Back controversy, and Remmy.
And even he is disliked by a lot of people here.

While prey are described as the bad, distrusting group where bias and specieism is a norm, the preds are always the really open and possitive group, the few assholes on this side like the bear or Phil are just bad apples.

Remmy gets always lectured on how bad and unfriendly he acts, and as much as true that is, some members of the pack are as much guilty, but that is always overlooked or excused with sometimes really flawed "It was for your good" or "This is how it works here" or "You just don't get it".
There is always that presence telling Remmy "Just look at how much this is better then what you had previously. Just look at how much the pack is better than what you come from." Al even got outright disgusted when Remmy talked about herd.

To herd, I feel herd could have been used as a tool to show that while prey and pred are different they have a lot more in common than they one would believe. Instead it ended as a direct opposite to pack. "Look at how much our open and friendly and helpful pack is better than your intolerant, strict, xenophobic herd"

I do believe that Weaver tries to portray the situation as neutral and both sided as he can, but I feel he put a little more of good into the pred basket.

But this is just my observation.

You're right, though. There have been mentions of the negative aspects of pred life (Charlie's odd jobs, Wolt getting into trouble with the law, Whatever the fuck's going on with Ozzy) but nothing too bad.

But the goal of season one I think was to get Remmy inducted into the Pack. Anything that would have made him realize that preds are equally as shitty as prey wouldn't have been productive towards that goal.

I feel like season two will up the ante a little bit. Make Remmy realize that he was just a little bit right about his biases, as well as having him accept his neighbours for who they are, warts an all.

Honestly, I am not really afraid for WildeHopps in Guardian Blue. Judy almost literally went to hell for Nick, while he basically made a life promise to her that he is going to stay by her side no matter what. In just the series alone they have done a lot for each other, helping heal each other's wounds, and stuck by each other through it all. I don't think there is a real worry for them to question what they have; there isn't family drama to rip them apart, they don't give a crap about the public reaction, and they don't have eyes for anyone but each other.

This might be a bit of a stretch thinking, but I feel the author hasn't put a Judy/Nick tag or Romance tag because he doesn't believe those are the focus of the stories. The relationship development just happens, while the fic focuses on this adventure/slice of life plot.

True. Though let's not make Nick a manipulated child here, he chose to go buy that shit. Judy didn't help at all, Nick almost died three times due to her (Shot, Apartment Bleedout, Withdrawal) and she's like "teehee im sorry :-9", but she didn't make that decision for him. Also I thought a lot of options he didn't consider already due to his past.

Career wise, I have absolutely no idea how either are going work. I get it if you want to write "You two are so good that I want to keep you together, don't mess up again", but they messed up DUE to the fact they were with one another, Nick turned into a wreck due to it, Judy suddenly changed completely, becoming shut down and erratic over it. For some reason, this reminds me of a fic where Nick and Judy were dancing around their relationship, while also going through therapy. In the end, the therapist came to the conclusion that they were too reliant on each other and suggested that they needed to find time away from each other; not completely, but separate each other so they aren't 24/7 around each other, so they can have a healthier relationship. I also felt the apology and everything was too... I don't know, flat? I mean if you go by the movie, it would be equal to it and be fine. But Judy didn't screw up a bit, not a good amount, not a lot. Nick was shot almost dead and she chose to run away, no matter the reasons, no matter how she felt, no matter the shame or the anger or whatever, there really isn't a situation that is any more fucked up than that.

I honestly feel the author should have made Nick a lot more angry or uncaring and Judy a lot more desperate or regretful, maybe even autodestructive since from what we seen she was just "yeah time to do my rounds at tundratown now" while Nick was an oil train on fire. No, saying she was a wreck hiding home and staying that isn't going to make me feel any sympathy for her.

I'm glad the possibility of a buck was introduced even if to have shot down quickly, I really felt a lot of answers Judy owed Nick weren't given. Sure forgive and forget, just feel like Judy could shit on Nick, hurt him, abandon him and leave him to almost die, show up a day and kiss him and he'd be fine with all that because "She loves me!".

It does make sense, that wasn't what I'm arguing. What I'm arguing is that she isn't reliable career wise, especially when he's involved. Maybe even if he isn't involved, her nature on the fic makes her someone really fucked up.

Key word is like nothing. In the movie Judy didn't come to Nick and said "Forgive me and let's solve this case", she didn't try to get Nick to forgive her, she wanted to help and she apologized showing that she learned she fucked up. That rarely happens in fics.

I can understand Judy doing something horrible, but if you're going to go with "she apologizes and Nick and her cuddle" feels undeserved. Nick can forgive her, doesn't mean he has to continue like nothing happened.

That's one thing I feel a lot of writers don't realize. So many times Judy is made to be a psychopath, a manipulator, someone who yearns for the attention of males/everyone and whatnot. When I left the movie all I had gotten for her is that she was trying hard to be good and could make mistakes due to inexperience or not seeing the whole picture, which is something Nick was going to help her with from the movie onwards. In the movie, Judy is a genuinely good person. Sure, she has her prejudices, but people seem to forget that one, she made a point throughout the movie to not be (and while the over-corrections made her look worse, they were still conscious corrections), and two, her fear of foxes was decidedly LEARNED, not just whipped up out of outlandish oversimplifications and misguided parental advice.

The only thing you could really fault her for doing during the movie which is unquestionably bad was the shit she spewed at the press conference. I'd personally give her the fox spray, because she's a tiny rabbit in a city of huge mammals, and the spray doesn't just work on foxes. The fact that she so obviously profiled Nick outside the ice cream parlor is a bit of a grey area, because she'd obviously think of Gideon (the only fox she knew personally) after seeing her first fox in the city. She'd at least be curious at the bare minimum. Getting the fox spray unclipped and ready without even knowing the basics of the situation is pretty shitty, though. I guess that's two things to fault her for. Still, she tried to make up for it. Being a hypocrite is better than just being shitty to the core.

The reason this sort of thing NEEDS all the organization, hospitals, and other related costs, is because doing it by the book means the father can't fucking sue in court for visitation after he decides he wants a part in his own damn children's lives. Also, so the mother can't sue him for child support after she decides she wants the money.
