>What are tulpas?
A tulpa is an entity created in the mind, acting independently of, and parallel to your own consciousness. They are able to think, and have their own free will, emotions, and memories. In short, a tulpa is like a sentient person living in your head, separate from you.

Hey guys. Back at it again with another questionnaire from my youngest tulpa.
1. Did you choose your tulpa's form, or did they?
2. What were the reasons behind this?
3. Does your tulpa have an original form (one created from scratch)?
4. If given the opportunity, would you trade places with your tulpa for a day? What would you do?
5. Do you think that the time you spend with your tulpa holds meaning? Or is it meaningless, but that's okay because it's together?
6. Do you engage in any hobbies together?
7. When you cannot interact directly with your tulpa for whatever reason for an extended period of time, how do they feel?
>>
>>9655963
>Did you choose your tulpa's form, or did they?
I chose it, but they since made a lot of little changes to the form over time.

>What were the reasons behind this?
I can't really remember. Pretty sure it was just I chose one I liked looking at, to encourage myself to force more often.

>Does your tulpa have an original form (one created from scratch)?
Not really. It was based on a fictional character, but it's pretty far from it now with all the changes they've made.

>If given the opportunity, would you trade places with your tulpa for a day? What would you do?
Definitely. I'd just tag along tulpa-style and see what they get up to with my body, and making sure they don't ruin it.

>Do you think that the time you spend with your tulpa holds meaning? Or is it meaningless, but that's okay because it's together?
I don't really see a distinction, but I enjoy spending time with my tulpa.

>Do you engage in any hobbies together?
I don't have a wonderland, so pretty much anything we do, we do together. So mostly vidya and sports right now. With sports I tried to let her possess my body and do some stuff but it didn't work out, so now she just does mental coaching.

>When you cannot interact directly with your tulpa for whatever reason for an extended period of time, how do they feel?
We both feel upset when that's the case. Usually, it's not often.
>>
>1. Did you choose your tulpa's form, or did they?
I choose them, but a couple of them changed forms after a while, with one tweaking her looking every once in a while.

>2. What were the reasons behind this?
Just people that I found pleasing to me, as well as ones that fit their personality.

>3. Does your tulpa have an original form (one created from scratch)?
My 4th does, I came up with it a long time ago when she was merely a roleplaying character.

>4. If given the opportunity, would you trade places with your tulpa for a day? What would you do?
Yes I would. Explore and hike outside as much as possible and hang out with all of them simultaneously.

>5. Do you think that the time you spend with your tulpa holds meaning? Or is it meaningless, but that's okay because it's together?
It holds a bit of meaning, it being that the time spent bonding with all of them or individual ones makes me feel happy and warm.

>6. Do you engage in any hobbies together?
Vidya and reading.

>7. When you cannot interact directly with your tulpa for whatever reason for an extended period of time, how do they feel?
They get very upset from what I've seen, but it's only ever happened when I got sick so they understood.
>>
>>9655963

>1. Did you choose your tulpa's form, or did they?
I chose her initial form, but she changed it to pic related a few years later.

>2. What were the reasons behind this?
She thought that her original pony form didn't suit her personality, so she changed it.

>3. Does your tulpa have an original form (one created from scratch)?
Yes, a human form. She doesn't tend to use that one often though.

>4. If given the opportunity, would you trade places with your tulpa for a day? What would you do?
Definitely. I'd hang about in the wonderland and be omnipotent for the day, watching her has made me jealous.

>5. Do you think that the time you spend with your tulpa holds meaning? Or is it meaningless, but that's okay because it's together?
Even if some of the time spent together is meaningless in reality, it still feels very meaningful.

>6. Do you engage in any hobbies together?
Yes, mostly watching movies together or vidya. We also work together, even named our business after her.

>7. When you cannot interact directly with your tulpa for whatever reason for an extended period of time, how do they feel?
She'll keep herself occupied for a while, but then she gets bored and starts poking at me and annoying me until she gets a reaction.

>1. Did you choose your tulpa's form, or did they?
I chose their original form, but we have been constantly tweaking it together for so long that the creation is now about 20-25% me and 75-80% my tulpa's.

>2. What were the reasons behind this?
The form I originally designed for my tulpa was hard for me to visualize, for some reason. My tupper didn't like this, so she optimized it for easier visualization. Everything after that has been fashion.

>3. Does your tulpa have an original form (one created from scratch)?
The one I designed at first was original. When my tulpa redesigned herself, she used a reference picture (pic related). But her form has been modified so much since then that it's still partially original.

>4. If given the opportunity, would you trade places with your tulpa for a day? What would you do?
I actually managed to do this once with switching. Mostly I took notes on her behavior & development while she played video games and browsed 4chan. It was great and I plan on doing it again very soon.

>5. Do you think that the time you spend with your tulpa holds meaning? Or is it meaningless, but that's okay because it's together?
I've came to the conclusion that my time spent with my tulpa is probably more meaningful to me than my time spent with anyone else. I've never felt so at peace.

>6. Do you engage in any hobbies together?
Vidya and 4chan, especially 4chan (my tulpa is the one who got me involved with this website).

>7. When you cannot interact directly with your tulpa for whatever reason for an extended period of time, how do they feel?
She always tells me it's okay and that I shouldn't worry about her when that happens, but I can tell she gets lonely and kinda depressed, I think she just doesn't want me to worry about her.

nigga that's fucking retarded there's literally no reason to give them multiple short hugs instead of just a really long one, all you'd be doing is making yourself look autistic
should be the amount of seconds you spend hugging your tulpa
>>

I agree with the sentiment that it should be the number of seconds not number of times. My tulpa would kill me if I just sat there and hugged them 61 times in a row.

It's funny. My tulpa used to have that form but now she's this. Well, technically her form is Stefanie Joosten, not Quiet persay. Either way they look the same, she's just the real human bean version without the weird powers.
>>
>>9655963
>1. Did you choose your tulpa's form, or did they?
Not sure. But if i had to choose I think that I chose the form.

>2. What were the reasons behind this?
I read guides about how you shouldn't force your tulpa into a form and that they should develop into it but at this point i already had an image in my head of how I wanted her to look like. When I started visualizing her I would visualize a floating ball and then one day while visualizing I did not see the ball i saw her. I thought I was forcing my own opinions on her so i really tried visualizing a floating ball but i gave up and just accepted the form she had.

>3. Does your tulpa have an original form (one created from scratch)?
Nope. based on a fictional character

>4. If given the opportunity, would you trade places with your tulpa for a day? What would you do?
Yes. I would just observe what she does and be like a co-pilot. I would also like it if the change was permanent.
>5. Do you think that the time you spend with your tulpa holds meaning? Or is it meaningless, but that's okay because it's together?
It holds meaning. We make each other happy and safe.

>6. Do you engage in any hobbies together?
Exploring wonderland is the main activity. Also taking slow walks. We live a pretty sedentary lifestyle.

>7. When you cannot interact directly with your tulpa for whatever reason for an extended period of time, how do they feel?
She doesn't really care. We don't have to be near each other or interact with each other on a daily basis. We are both fairly independent. It's the time that we spend together that counts. Although there are times where i do feel bad that we don't hang out as often especially with sharing the same space and all. but this is how i am irl as well

I often wonder how involved tulpamancers get with their wonderlands. So! Time for another questionnaire!
1. Does your wonderland have an overall theme or motif?
2. Is it created from scratch, or is it based on a pre-existing place either in this world or in a video game?
3. Do you have servitors that act independently within said wonderland? Do they perform actions on a set path, or do they have some semblance if mock-sentience?
4. Do you go so far as to give your wonderland a "lore" or a story behind it? Though not necessarily useful it can be fun, so I'm a bit curious there too.
5. Is your wonderland on a larger, or smaller scale? Where large = continent size and up, and small = continent size or smaller.
6. Do you visit it often or is it only reserved mainly for your tulpa?
7. What purpose does it primarily serve to you?
>>
>>9667057
>Does your wonderland have an overall theme or motif?
It's mostly a GATE-like place, but without the nippon masturbatory fantasy part.

>Is it created from scratch, or is it based on a pre-existing place either in this world or in a video game?
It's created from scratch, but features a lot of things I remember from past things I've done such as roleplays.

>Do you have servitors that act independently within said wonderland? Do they perform actions on a set path, or do they have some semblance if mock-sentience?
They have mock-sentience, capable of complete autonomous living.

>Do you go so far as to give your wonderland a "lore" or a story behind it? Though not necessarily useful it can be fun, so I'm a bit curious there too.
I guess the "lore" is being created as we speak, since my tulpas tend to go off into places and do various activities.

>Is your wonderland on a larger, or smaller scale? Where large = continent size and up, and small = continent size or smaller.
Large, very large.

>Do you visit it often or is it only reserved mainly for your tulpa?
I look in on it frequently, but it's mostly the domain for my tulpas.

>What purpose does it primarily serve to you?
It primarily serves as an excellent creative outlet for me.
>>
>>9667057
1. It's gone through a few iterations, most recently just a...dark dimension with natural lighting and carpeted ground. It used to be a hotel floor but it kind of exploded into what it is now.
2. Scratch.
3. Just a horde of tiny demons underground. They don't do much aside from act as assistants or lab rats every so often.
4. Not really, just seems like if there's a massive shift, a significant detail is left permanently.
5. Probably large, haven't gone too far out since there aren't any visible landmarks.
6. I visit frequently enough, they don't really have an issue with it yet, if at all.
7. Tupper storage.

>1. Does your wonderland have an overall theme or motif?
There are sub-regions which seem to have their own themes.

>2. Is it created from scratch, or is it based on a pre-existing place either in this world or in a video game?
Some sub-regions are videogame places.
The main area is 'from scratch'.

>3. Do you have servitors that act independently within said wonderland? Do they perform actions on a set path, or do they have some semblance if mock-sentience?
Someone made some simple robots that sometimes play instruments, but I haven't seen them in a while.

>4. Do you go so far as to give your wonderland a "lore" or a story behind it? Though not necessarily useful it can be fun, so I'm a bit curious there too.
There are some 'special' places but generally, only for sub-regions.

>5. Is your wonderland on a larger, or smaller scale? Where large = continent size and up, and small = continent size or smaller.
Main area is, I'm not sure, about a few hundred feet in diameter. I'm not sure how tall. The sea below it stretches infinitely, I assume? I don't remember how many sub-regions there are now, at least like 50 and each one varies in size from '6 pieces of furniture in an endless void' to 'a somewhat small laboratory-looking room' to 'the area around my house, except that it's always snowing'

>6. Do you visit it often or is it only reserved mainly for your tulpa?
Whenever.

>7. What purpose does it primarily serve to you?
Places to do things together, places to explore, places to sort out other internal things
>>
>>9688067
Had a pretty scary dream last night. Somebody was doing something to me that I didn't like. Woke up terrified. She's the first person I called and she stayd with me until i calmed down enough to go to sleep. The dream continued from where it left off but she was there with me. She smote the evil doer and everythin was fine.
I also need to get into lucid dreaming but it's such a time commitment.

>1. Did you choose your tulpa's form, or did they?
First I did, then they weren't happy with it and chose their own one.
>2. What were the reasons behind this?
It was an already existing character and she didn't quite feel like herself in it.
>3. Does your tulpa have an original form (one created from scratch)?
Yes. It's a pony oc.
>4. If given the opportunity, would you trade places with your tulpa for a day? What would you do?
Nope. I don't want my tup to end up having any negative experiences on the outside. She can be very sensitive.
>5. Do you think that the time you spend with your tulpa holds meaning? Or is it meaningless, but that's okay because it's together?
About as much of a meaning as it does with anyone else, just with some added love.
>6. Do you engage in any hobbies together?
She really likes drawing, so I draw with her pretty ponies.
>7. When you cannot interact directly with your tulpa for whatever reason for an extended period of time, how do they feel?

Why hasn't anyone gotten MRI'd yet and had their head checked to prove the legitimacy behind tulpas? Some dude named Buttface did a thing years ago, senpai. He had an EEG done and recorded results where he was thinking normally, parroting his tulpa, where his Tulpa was speaking. There was significantly different activity in different parts of the brain for each activity.

Problem is, what the fuck does any of it mean? Not much besides there's definitely something going on.

I can't remember if we compared the scans to anything like schizophrenia or the like, though.

I did say supposedly. I based my post on this article on .info speaking about "plurality" from a pretty interesting perspective. Have a look yourself. Do you not believe in the whole tulpa thing or even multiple personality disorders yourself?

stop it's 1 am i shouldnt be laughing this hard
also plurality is a retarded concept that should stay in shitholes like tumblr and .io and i guess .shitfo too.
the amount of .io-themed bullshit in that post was enough to disprove it for me. anyone who uses the words "system" "singlet" or talks about story characters talking to writers as if they were actually doing that and it isn't a figure of speech (something speaking to you, ie "this character really speaks to me") is instantly without merit and credibility and should be disregarded as roleplaying nonsense.
>>
>>9703190
One is a clinically diagnose mental illness, the other is a bunch of grown men playing pretend so hard they think their imaginary friends are real/ they have become indistinguishable from real people to the host.

So arguably it could be considered a mental illness in the most extreme cases but generally most people are just talking to themselves, which is entirely normal.
>>
>>9703227
I'm curious, what do you think is the difference between having an imaginary friend that you believe is autonomous/real and actually having an actual being in your head à la DID?
>>
>>9703205
Your post just reeks of blind hatred for .info honestly. Sure plurality is a stupid term but it was used as an all encompassing way to describe multiple personalities living in the brain, like with tulpas or some multiple personality disorder. There's nothing wrong with that. Calling that concept retarded would be as to call this whole tulpa stuff retarded. Is that what you're doing?
>>
>>9703308
Like I said, at the extremes are where it's indistinguishable, but that's just because you've told yourself a lie so much you believe that lie to be fact. It's a very common phenomenon really. DiD is an illness that can be diagnosed and treated, ideally by getting rid of the splintered personalities by re-uniting them or whatever. I'm not super well-versed on the intricacies of treating DiD, my knowledge is from actual people with DiD who have posted in tulpa threads in the past. Also, DiD is created from trauma, you can't just give yourself DiD.

ok newfag, listen up. mpd is now did. they're the same thing. second, .info has never contributed anything useful, it's been a cespool of roleplaying 15 year olds who in the words of Jaden, peace and blessings be upon him, "collect tulpas like trading cards" since its inception and they sure as hell didn't give me any help when i showed up there in 2012 asking. third, (you) because this has gotta be some bait you're throwing out since no self-respecting tulpamancer would dare to credit .shitfo or .io for anything benificial to tulpas.

>Also, DiD is created from trauma, you can't just give yourself DiD.
I didn't mean to insinuate that. I do agree with you though about how you can tell yourself a lie so much that you believe it to be true. I have heard a bunch of theories and this is the one that I have found to be the easiest and make the most sence. I mean, it's equally possible that they are in fact some form of created person that you share a brain with, but until we have completely unlocked the secrets of the human brain (which we haven't) we don't really know if it's possible and can only go off of anecdotal evidence or lesser experiments like >>9701546 and even then we'd need someone with access to the technology to run the tests. nigger i have been doing this since 2012 and i have yet to see a single thing of use rise from .info. all the good guides were made by people in the threads, and they can be found elsewhere like the wiki or on pastebin pages or by word of mouth. all the guides on .shitfo are hot garbage, it's like asking a 5th grader on how to build a rocket ship that will take you to mars and they give you some made-up answer that is clearly full of shit but has bits from things they've heard about how rockets work to try and make it sound credible.

i mean since i've experienced mine do shit like forcibly posses me it leads me to believe they're more than a lie but like >>9703566 said we dont know i sure as hell don't i'm not a neuroscientist. as a psych minor i can tell you tulpas tend to be used as an effective coping mechanism though, since the one study we do have was of the community and it turns out most people are introverted nerds who like to do machines like donatello and that lack of social interaction probably has something to do with some tulpas being made. i made my first for self improvement and my second was meant to be the opposite for a fun little angel-devil on my shoulders mechanic because i was a dumb 20 year old who had just turned 20.

>>9703619
depends on how you visualize them, mine are generally more realistic looking but i can't draw anything but anime so when i draw them they look more anime. i guess high quality anime sfm models would be the best way to describe it and work on visualization if it's an established character for the form and if it isn't a general similar shaped character would work for helping that. but yeah generally it's realistic movement for mine.

This is how I made my tulpa. I read a bunch of guides and incorporated a lot of the techniques that were listed. Maybe it's because I'm relatively new to tulpamancy but I didn't really see anything wrong with .info or .io. I didn't do hour counts because I wasn't in a rush to complete my tulpa and i'm very patient. I recognized that the process was going to take time so just practicing as much as possible and consistently was the best way.
>>
>>9703754
I feel like their guides are too ambiguous.
>just keep forcing and shell eventually talk to you bro
I mean even if it can be simplified like that, I don't think it'd hurt to be more descriptive. I just took a look at .info for instance and there's this one new(from this year) extremely long and autistically descriptive guide there. Haven't read it myself but I'm sure it can't be that bad if it's that long.

i literally had 2 guides, faq and irish and everyone was like oh don't use the hour counts they hinder progress os iwas like okay and then i made my guide which is on the wiki in all its glory. the way you did it is probably the best way, just go through the paces until you get results and try new things and share what works. thats how it used to be. .info is pretty cringeworhty sometimes though and .io, especially their discord and their "terminology" page is super cringey. like .info yeah it's useful sometimes but .io requires the ability to dig through all the cringe on the front fucking page and like, no thanks. share anything you find there that might be useful though i guess.

>>9703864
that's pretty much how it works since this is such a person-to-person process. i've heard the opposite complaint, that it's so specific and then it doesn't work and then people are like "oh tulpas aren't real because this guide didn't work and i followed it exactly". and yeah i can't read a guide that autistically long so you do it and tell me how it is. i actually ended up making my guide super short, but it's very practical and simple and flexible so you tell me if it's any good.

>>9703881

I'm also scared of making an accidental tulpa, if I ever create things like monsters in my wonderland, they won't turn into new tulpas will they?

We want to create a wonderland where we can have legit adventures like scavenging for food, weapons and traveling between cities, but I don't want things to go full mess.
>>
>>9704636
I thinkt he best way to avoid creating accidental tulpas is not to worry about it. The less focus you put on creating a tulpa, the less likely anything you consistently imagine will turn into one.
If you want to be extra safe, don't hang around any npc friendos in your post apocalyptic rpg world for too long. And don't ever ask them whether they are tulpas.

Arachne aren't creepy. You just have preconceived prejudice against them!
>>

I thought about that, fearing my tulpa wouldn't have proper genitals, but decided against it. I don't want my tulpa feeling awkward when sentience begins, knowing that I stared at her naked for hours.

I find spiders creepy if I can't tell they're not poisonous or if they just fall on me out of nowhere, but I see Arachne completely separate from spiders. I understand, though. The fear comes from your great great great great (repeated) ancestors' fear of wild animals in the jungle, which causes us to dislike or fear things that resemble them, such as monsters from horror movies.

Has nobody figured out some magical way to make a Tulpa in 5 minutes or whatever yet? Because spending months taking time away from life to meditate and tulpa-force just to see whether this is real or not doesn't sound like it's worth it
>>
>>9716997
There is no "get a tulpa quick" method. If you're not willing to put in the effort, don't make a tulpa. It's not easy, but it's worth it to those who really want one.
>>
>>9717228
I never said I wasn't willing to put in the effort

I just don't even know that tulpas ARE EVEN REAL! And I'm not wasting my time if they aren't, so a less tedious method of creating one would be infinitely better. If there is no way, then I guess I'm not gonna be making one
>>
>>9717486
Good.
>>
>>9717486
Meditation by itself has positive benefits so if you are worried about wasting your time then the worst thing that could happen is that you don't have a tulpa but are well meditated. Also there really isn't 100% undeniable proof that this is real you just have to try and see for yourself. If you really want to make a tulpa then you will and if you don't you won't. The info is out there.
>>
>>9716050
Yes. No. No.

>>9716997
Why has nobody figured out a way to learn an entire language in a week yet?

>>9717486
Every time I see someone give up on tulpas because it is too much effort, I feel glad that it drives people like you away from it. If you aren't willing to show commitment, then you shouldn't even start.
>>
>>9717608
People who won't commit to a tulpa don't deserve them. If you can't put months of love into your tulpa, you probably wouldn't love them properly even if they magically could be created in 5 minutes.
>>
>>9717486
Your mind is as crazy as the thought of a tulpa. Tulpas make sense if you read into theories developed to explain why they can be created.

I think we can probably finish out the rest of this thread with a questionnaire. The topic of this one is, timelines. Remember: Each person's brain works differently so don't feel discouraged if someone took less time than you.
1. How long did it take you to start to see your tulpa? Hear? Smell? Taste? Feel?
2. Which of these came first? Why do you think this was the case?
3. Do you think that people who claim to have seen or heard their tulpa (or touched, etc.) in a matter of weeks are being honest? Why or why not?
4. What seems to be the most difficult aspect of forcing for you?
5. Do you feel accidental tulpa are more or less legitimate than traditionally created tulpa? Why?
6. Has anyone really been far as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

> How long did it take you to start to see your tulpa? Hear? Smell? Taste? Feel?

>Smell
Still working on that.
>Taste
wew lad
>Feel
More than a few months.

>Which of these came first? Why do you think this was the case?
What came easiest for me was the visualization, probably because I spent most of my life daydreaming about things.

>Do you think that people who claim to have seen or heard their tulpa (or touched, etc.) in a matter of weeks are being honest? Why or why not?
Weeks is pretty normal and honest to me, I'd think they were lying if they were saying they had all of the basics of tulpamancy down within days.

>What seems to be the most difficult aspect of forcing for you?
Staying focused, keeping my mind from wandering to other things.

>Do you feel accidental tulpa are more or less legitimate than traditionally created tulpa? Why?
It's no less legitimate than intentional tulpas, a lot of people out there could have tulpas and don't even know it. A couple of mine have been around with me for a very long time, but this is a result of my strong interests in reading fiction, daydreaming, and roleplaying.

Accidental tulpas are just as 100% legitimate as intentional tulpas.

>Has anyone really been far as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
