The optional nature of every activity means that you can be exactly as autistic as you want to be. You can train your pets for battle, you can buy all sorts of clothes and dress them up, you can run a shop to earn tons of dosh, you can do a bit of everything in order to collect avatars, you can dedicate 18 hours per day to feed kadoaties before anybody else can even after you have the avatar already and don't need to do it anymore you fucking asshole, or whatever else you want to do with a magical talking animal that enjoys being your pet instead of getting a real job like everybody else. Or you can just ignore the pet, since there are a lot of activities that don't directly involve your pet and there's no real penalties for them being miserable.

Very few of the activities are directly reliant on any other, so you can pretty much just do the things that actually seem interesting to you while ignoring just about everything else. You'll still most likely need to earn some neopoints to buy items and stuff for whatever it is you want to do, but there are plenty of ways to do that easily without having to play any of the terrible flash games unless you really want to.

Also, if you still remember your old account, I would advise trying to log into it again, since there are a few things that are affected by your account's age. Most notably the max bet you can make in Food Club, which is an easy way to make a lot of neopoints quickly and reliably, is based on how many days old your account is. An account that you made over ten years ago can rake in plenty of neopoints with just that alone. If you hate whatever username 9-year-old-you picked, you can even just use that old account to earn neopoints and then transfer most of them to a side account. As long as you only earn neopoints on your "main" account, you're permitted to have a few side accounts for whatever.

BD stands for battledome pet. People only really care about HSD: Health, Strength, Defense. The more your pet has of these, the more they qualify for a UC trade.

Baby Kougra is a very common UC which is why it's not as expensive as the rest. You can get a badly-named one for a BD pet totalling about 1500, less if it has a decent name.

So can anybody convince me that joining an AC Team and participating/playing this year could ACTUALLY be worth it?

I've played before in the past (always for Roo Island, I'm loyal to a fault so I'll be on Team RI again this year if I decide to play) but I've never actually enjoyed myself. It's boring and incredibly repetetive and monotonous. Yooyuball and the other games are slow, take fucking forever, and I just get so burned out playing them over and over and over. They're janky and laggy and just, for me, not any fun at all. I really have to force myself to play them every day because I'll feel bad if I don't and I don't want to miss out on the prizes at the end of the AC.

But I've never ever ever won (not since I've participated....wish I was still active back when RI actually placed but whatever) and the crappy/mediocre prizes I accumulated just have never felt like they were worth the effort.

So I just don't know what to do. Do I participate in the AC again and hope for the best? It's just hard to see the point in forcing myself to play games I hate playing and enduring the torture for very, very little reward at the end. Low-tier/cheap Paint Brushes and crappy wearables just don't feel worth it. I don't know.

It means that a large group of people using programs to submit fake scores are going to try to force that team to win. When they did the same thing last year, any account that had the slightest suspicion of irregular behavior was frozen, and a lot of innocent accounts were caught up in it.

Basically, it means that your team is pretty much guaranteed to win but you have a random chance of losing your account for absolutely no reason.
