It's bad enough I'll never become famous in this fandom because it's massive, somewhat cliquey, and I'm a slow writer who has written only very short works. Also I didn't start writing for Zootopia until last summer, not when the movie first came out.

Sounds like they might not've moved on straight to "eating prey is abhorrent like cannibalism", then, if they originally made the change out of convenience. The relationship might've been feudal-ish, where prey farmers pay predators for protection from other predators, but raids and conquest are common. Maybe some aristocratic traditions too like sacrifice from peasants to lords or against conquered neighbours.

The enlightenment rolls around and suddenly everyone has rights and eating people is bad even if you're the king, and history gets subtly massaged to make future political messaging easier.

The problem is that there is much more that can be done with her. She appears in various scenes, she has a story and (very little) backstory.
I still find "That's not my Emmitt" to be the most heart-wrenching phrase in the movie, mainly for the parallels that can be done in real life. I've had too many cases of dementia in my family.
Also it is difficult to tell that that with the body she's rocking she is older than Nick, probably already in her 40s. She's the perfect MILF.

Also the willingness to collaborate is very dependent on the person.
A shame though, writer/drawer couples can bring a lot of nice content (for example, in the field of webcomics, the Foglios and the Penny Arcade guys are the first that come to mind)

For both of drawing and writing one has to observe, read other works, study them, learn and train, train, train. And, after many, many failures, they will begin to draw or write.

There is also a more recent comic Before Your Very Eyes, though very questionable that Nick is an officer a month after Bellwether was arrested. Chinese artist apparently, summary -"A bunny cop goes on a wonderful journey with a sly fox. But the journey might not be all that great - is the plot I am thinking as of now." We'll see how this plays out.

Finally Dilated Eyes, where Bellwether's plan worked to an extent; interspecies relationships were looked down on, and Judy has to watch Nick date a vixen. Probably going to be lots of "abloo abloo" before it gets to WildeHopps (if it does) but it is a rare enough situation that I am willing to keep an eye on it.

None of these comics are particularly good as much as they aren't complete crap... well Broken Mask is kind of up in the air, depends on your view on it.

Artists have inflated ego, especially furry and ones that stay too much on the internet. But I wouldn't put it on "ego", I'd put it more on "people want to draw what they want to draw, writing quality comes second", for example, I already had to work on a comic with a friend on another fandom: He wanted to jump the shark midway because the story was "too dull", I hate edge, needless abloo and twists just for the sake of it. I refused unless he went with the original script, sparks flew, he yielded but basically left me to write the rest because he didn't care about it anymore.
