Top-tier key tuft places:
-Suprasternal ("chest fluff")
-Pubic (often, this fur covering their modesty is more sexy and alluring than just pussy being in plain view)
-Those fine hairs where the underside of the tail meets the body
-Inside of ear
-Extra scraggly fur on rear side of buttocks (that makes you just want to run your fingers through it, or rub your cheek into it)

I don't think he meant pubes.
That being said, I don't like it when anthros have super exaggerated pubic tufts. Just makes it look a bit awkward (as if the rest of their body has really short fur, or no fur at all). I like it more when it looks natural (like pic related)
>>
>>9520916
M8 even that looks unnatural. Fur starts to shorten around an animal's stomach and genitals and you start seeing a bit more of their skin as oppose to being fall on fur like that

>another nigga who appreciates the fluff under the base of the tail

These are all the good spots.

You understand.
>>
>>9521488
Bipeds aren't going to have the same sort of anatomy and distribution of a quadruped, humans have more/thicker hair around those spots so having it bushier on an anthro is a good middle ground.
>>
>>9521488
How on earth could you think that pic looks unnatural? ..or more unnatural than a bush of pube-like fur?

Oh well, to each his own I guess, but keep in mind that anthros have nowhere near as little abdominal fur as most quadrupeds do.
Still, there are species (particularly in colder climates) who has it
>>
>>9521590
It would make sense for them to have less fur around the genitalia. Less fur getting soiled, less shit and piss tangling it up.
>>
>>9522002
Also, these are areas that for quadrupeds are already well insulated against the cold.
Still, you see in timber wolves that their lower abdominal fur is much more scraggly and long than with, say, a coyote or a domesticated dog.
Polar bears also have a lot of fur there, I think. I think it's a temperature issue. Huge iliac arteries carrying lots of heat fairly close to the skin, and genitals don't like too much variations in temperature either.

To me, it's part of the allure, really. Preserves modesty in an elegant way whilst standing.
And yet.. Running your fingers down through the bellyfur of some anthro, parting her long, soft hairs as you follow the semi-soft curves underneath. Then finding a very warm (and slick) patch where the fur very suddenly transitions into bare skin..

Glad to hear you're not pining for a fist-sized waifu, anon. You're better off, really
>>
>>9522054
Still thick fur around that area for modesty or would still lead to piss and shit getting stuck in it unless there was a way for the hair to part. Although it might give sex an interesting feeling given the fur and all though it might be hard to clean out the cum stains in it (already difficult enough to clean cum out of your pubes).
>>
>>9525281
You're right, but evolution wouldn't care about things like that, really.
Anyway, in anthros this would really only lead to different methods of relieving oneself and cleaning afterwards. (..assuming anthros are intelligent and sophisticated, that is)

Of course there would be no fur directly around any mucous orifice though. No animal has that, and extremely few fictional anthros in art.
We're not talking about fur on top of the labia/anus here, but around it (as with many feral animals as they are today).
The vulva is small enough on humans to be hard to spot sometimes when viewing a bipedal female from the front/slightly above. You wouldn't need a lot of fur over the mons pubis and beside the labia to hide it fairly well in an anthro.
(assuming it's not protruding and swollen for some reason)
>>
>>9520690
I like it when it's the same color, or a slightly darker or lighter shade of the fur color. Rarely I enjoy hair on anthro that has a completely different colors with the fur, unless the colors look good together.

Renamon is a masterpiece of anthro design. She looks beautiful and sexy without being sexualized, her eyes and upright posture makes her intimidating, which demands respect from other characters in the show, which add to the coolness factor that kids love, yet her design stays simple and clean, something with Digimon some times struggles with. She's also cute as fuck, which is another bonus that a lot of kids also love alongside coolness.

Kenji Watanabe, or whoever designed her, knew exactly what they were doing.

>>
>>9520690
Horses have hair all over and long manes of different colors. It's completely plausible.

Though how different would it be to are method of relieving oneself other than the obvious males will have an easier time then females pissing without messing themselves though still be messier to wipe oneself after shitting especially depending on the level of technology the anthros have (also having diarrhea would be a pain in the ass to clean up after, that stuff gets all over your butt). Also is there any settings with anthros that don't have similar intelligence levels to humans. The best I can think of are those that have anthros on the same level as tribesmen that can't understand the human language and usually have their own unique language of their own.

Now for the other stuff brought up and it does make sense though feral animals don't have buttcheeks and the anus and genitals are furless beneath the tail with only the raising of the tail to view them. I suppose female anthros would need to spread their labia and ass cheeks to do their business to get the least waste onto them. Also like you mentioned the vagina is barely visible and while that is true for it can just look like a line there are still many of those that have larger labia which protrude outward, especially for woman that have sex a lot.
>>
>>9527323
Tamers is my favourite season of Digimon. Of course I have only seen the complete seasons of Digimon up to Tamers, all other seasons I've only seen some episodes of.
>>9526776
So this must make this picture more accurate then.
>>
>>9527405
(Remember that humans didn't have toilet paper during the sizeable majority of civilized history. They used water. Water water and then more water. With soap. Way more effective than paper, only less time efficient and practical. Works like a charm on fur, too. Stone-age furs would have no problem using alkaline ashes and water to rinse themselves back to mint condition.)

Assuming the anthros were like wild animals (and didn't care); poop and things dry up eventually, leaving only dust that falls off (or is washed off). Nature wouldn't care about stuff like this, so I feel it's kinda cheap if we change a design up because "a wild version would get soiled" or something. For me, it would lose plausibility. but then I'm picky, and like realism.

Don't know about such a setting, sadly, but sounds interesting. (..although that's probably only because I have a penchant for Humanity Fuck Yeah stuff..)

>protruding labia
Some animals more than others, yes. The vaginal entrance would still be hidden far more than with humans, though. ..or it would have to protrude something fierce..
>>
>>9527526
>First Paragraph
Sounds like it would take a lot of time. Also wet fur is a bitch to dry.

>Second Paragraph
That is a fair point you bring up and now I am reminded of the musk ox; an animal where the males urinates on their underbelly fur which soaks up the urine and gives the ox it's musk odor and is used to attract mates by scent.

>Third Paragraph
Been a long time since I read a setting like that since most are modern anthros in a humanless world. I would have to search it up again for it was either on furaffinity or sofurry.

>Fourth Paragraph
That is true though the position of the female anthro would still expose the genitals more, mostly any sitting/crouching or leg spread position would do it. Male anthro genitals however would not be hidden by the fur unless the genitals are external and pop out of a shaft.
>>
>>9527723
>wet fur
There's no need to dry it, unless you're wearing clothes. In a clothed society, you would dry it using other means.

>muskox

With all this talk about anthros with pubic hair or pubic tufts what do you guys think about anthros shaving their pubic area. They could do this for many reasons maybe even to impress their human mate. Also wonder what colour the skin under the fur would actually look like.
>>
>>9527818
you can tell by looking at the color of their noses and paw pads since that's their exposed skin
>>
>>9527818
Anthro skin pigmentation is an interesting subject.
(It wouldn't necessarily be the same as their paw pads or nose, >>9527840. Many, many animals deviate from this.)
My personal preference is actually black skin all over.. Lips, genitals, anus, everything.

Anyway, I don't think I'd care that much. I definitely wouldn't want an anthro SO to think I preferred it, though. Because of the hassle of someone with fur shaving.
Also, shaving usually furred skin can very easily cause eczema or rashes. I wouldn't mind pubic/genital fur at all, to be honest.

>>9527818
Or maybe because hairy pussies aren't really the best when you want someone to lick you down their. Speaking of which while I understand why the vulva would be covered why would nipples of an anthro be covered in fur and hidden since they are bare on all animals and babies would need to drink from them without accidently swallowing fur. Would the nipple area around the breasts need to be shaved as well.
>>
Furry pubes are great
>>
>>9527955
No one mentioned anything about fur growing over the actual nipple. If you were thinking about chest fluff, that's longer fur growing around the base of the breasts themselves, particularly or only over the sternum. This is long, lush fur that only covers the nipples indirectly (if at all).

..And god damn.. I'd lingually assault the naturally furred nethers of an anthro for a full platonic year.
The vulva itself should be easily accessible, and besides, smooth fur isn't the same as coarse, curly pubes.
>>
>>9528023
a thorough combing before would be advised though with how often/much furred species shed

In this day and age, anon, I can assure you that you're not alone. There might be some looming dreadful feels trying to eat you alive, but no worries; we all live crazy lives these days. Things change so fast that even comparing the "standard lives" of those mere decades our elders is getting weird.
Just relax, take a deep breath, think about a good meal you had, or the joy of perusing fine anthro art or interesting articles. Many joys in life.. Thing is, most people today slap the standards of yesterday onto themselves, and feel pressured and hurt.
If you have roof over your head and money to buy food for your belly, enjoy life as best you can.. and suddenly one day you'll widen your eyes and think "holy crap. I'm actually feeling happy."
The most important thing of all is to be a good person. And no one can do better than being the best they can be.

Hope things will look up for you, man. Best wishes.

Their whole skin actually and snakes even shed their eye covers due to how their eyes are. They also grow a little bigger each time they shed too and reptiles can keep growing for has long as they live. It does slow down after a certain size, but they can very slowly get bigger. It also helps reptiles are really long lived species too.

Naa, wouldn't say so, sorry.
(I'd definitely suggest making a thread for it, though! That might just be real nice for many people, if there isn't one up already.)
Thing is, with planthros you -have- to have a certain level of stylized "toonishness" for them to be attractive. Many people realize immediately that such a stylized creature would be very difficult to visualize realistically, and still find it attractive. (You'd have to completely de-stylize every exaggerated characteristic, and take account for every anatomical feature.)

It's a bit easier with anthros, since they have real-world counterparts one can draw inspiration from (even if they might end up rather feral-looking).

It's always fun to see people lash out when their fantasies' suspension of disbelief starts unravelling in the face of realism.

Heck, even if you got a wish that could do anything, a toonish/stylized waifu wouldn't be able to exist anatomically. (Variations that did would look like one of those huge plastic models. Uncanny as fuck.)

The moment you plop something into three-dimensional reality, anon, your mind starts being being quite discerning about visual qualities, you see.
We feralfags have it best.

>>9536871
To be woefully honest, I actually kind of agree in retrospect. This thread has a broad enough theme for them to be encompassed, and they -are- anthros. I can't help but think that dude might be better off making a dedicated thread though, given how planthros are rather niche.

>>9536932
What on earth makes you think I'm in this thread to see ferals? I go to feral threads for that. (That was just mentioned because feral aspects would be most easily transitionable into reality.)
>>

>better off making a dedicated thread though, given how planthros are rather niche
Why?
Wouldn't this be an argument for including them?
If they're niche enough that they can't keep a thread going anyways.
It's not like they'd be taking space from other people or anything.

>my argument still holds
Only if you accept the brain dead stupid axiom that the only way to enjoy a fictional being is by imagining them photorealistically.
Honestly you people have the total freedom of imagination and you willingly choose to shackle yourself to reality.
I have to wonder if you have some deficiency of the imagination, like one of those people who totally lacks a minds eye or something.

Relatively speaking, no. There are far mroe realismfags than plantfags, so of course it would look like that, but let's face it: every person able to appreciate anthro art has his "mind's eye" in full order. Realismfags just take the thought a step further towards reality.

Being a realismfag doesn't mean you automatically stop appreciating stylized stuff. (Nor does it mean you're an animalfucker)
It just means one likes to ponder the thought of "solving" the realization problem with attractive fictional creatures.
Most realismfags even prefer stylized artwork; they're just cognizant of how this related to something living, breathing and three-dimensional.

But dude, I'm not saying one thing is right or wrong here. To each his own.
>>
>>9542694
>Relatively speaking, no
Ignoring the fact that even in relative terms realismfags got shit on way more in this thread than plantfags, why would you speak in relative terms when the only one that matters in this context is absolute terms?
Also I think you're way overestimating the amount of realismfags here.
Based on your posting style it seems you're the only person here to objects to things on the grounds of realism.
No one else seems to care.

Hmm, maybe... I've seen more and more popping up over the last five years or so, though.

Because it pretty easy to see what the absolute terms are in this thread.
I don't know why you're talking about stuff outside this thread as if it would matter here.
Or why you're even here arguing if you don't care about what happens here.
It certainly seems like you care.
>And I didn't object to anything
You did at first.
To be honest I don't really care at all about plants in particular it's just realismfags spew a lot of spurious bullshit whenever something unrealistic pops up that sends them into a spastic shitfit when they see it.
But to be fair thats not you right now.
You're being alright and you seem to realize that you preferences aren't everyones.
Just try to keep in mind in the future that when you talk about realism half of the thread (at least based on the poll >>9543245) doesn't care about it.

The more fur the better, imo, but interesting point: Fur would most likely go away or recede heavily over a couple million years of stone age life.

>>9551600
Realistically, any evolved species other than humans would look weird and uncanny. Because they'd have no reason to evolve features that look "good" to us, only to eachother.
Althouth ruminating on evolutionary probability is interesting though, it's more fun to ponder how you can make any creature look realistic AND good (to us humans).
Like skyrim khajiit, for instance. (A phylogenetic nightmare, but who cares. They look nice.)

Your pic looks uncanny because it's too close to human, I think. Looks more like an experiment on what an anthro would be like without fur.

Yeah but they don't claim it's what an anthro would look like if it evolved realistically.
Only retarded realismfags do that.

Well the guy I was replying too seemed to care about realsitic evolution, which requires phylogeny, so maybe you shouldn't assume what other realismfags want from their anthros.

The poor guy just posted a single image for christ's sake, with a single "this might be a possibility". On 4chan, no less. He was just posting a thought he had.

If you had judged realismfags correctly (..which really isn't even any established singular group or anything--only a rough average preferential trend) by that guy's post, and absurdly assumed correctly that he by his post meant "I want this in all anthro artwork I peruse".. why you'd be completely correct.

Don't polemize needlessly. We like just the things you like (in fact, there probably isn't even a 'we' in this regard). Just a matter of preference.

>>9558044
Let me help clarify for you, then: your post was a shitpost. His wasn't.

Read what I wrote more closely. I meant that your assumptions were absurd. ...and definitely not correct on either of the two points;
-Realismfags isn't a singular group, only a vague broad preferential trend. Demeaning it is pointless and hence shitposting.
-He didn't claim or impose anything, but presented an idea. Thread-irrelevance notwithstanding, it was content, and hence demeaning it pointlessly is shitposting.

(That being said, if you had typed "please focus more on human males on female anthros" or something, I would be bowing to your righteousness instead.)

A lot of cultures have stories of gods in animal form/mythological beasts cross breeding with humans. The Hawaiians even have dragons and supposedly some of their royal line is from a human guy taking a dragon wife. Also according their myths the mountains on Hawaii are the spines of ancient dead dragons.
>>
>>9558434
Interesting..
I wonder if this was solely cultural-mythical phenomena, or if it happened to ordinary people as well.
E.g. a Hawaiian boy thinking to himself what it would be like to have a dragon waifu, and visualizing how she would look like.

Most primates can't swim and that's a big negative to have. They also don't have the same fine muscle control has humans.Wolves with human-level sapience and hands would be terrifying since they're already such great pack hunters/tacticians.

The hell you talking about?
All primates can swim just as well as humans.
Unless you think humans are insufficiently aquatic.
>>
>>9559269
No, quite a few primate species are literally incapable of swimming. Humans are the biggest primates that can swim.
>>
>>9559288
>quite a few primate species are literally incapable of swimming
No they're not.
All primates can be taught to swim.
Just like a human.
>>
>>9559235
Primates are able to swim, they just can't figure out the counter-intuitive movements required for it that easily, so they have trouble learning it. (Other creatures can just paddle intuitively, which doesn't work that well with most primates and humanoids.)
I don't think this would be that big a drawback for them, anyway.
Keep in mind that primates are flock animals too, with vastly more advanced tactics than wolf packs. A baboon both will and can rip a wolf to shreds, one-on-one. Even the biggest cats avoid those motherfuckers.

Though wolves would be pretty efficient, yeah. Their paws would be a huge drawback, though.

>>
>>9559341
No, this is a common misconception. While partially true--insofar as they have more trouble swimming than us humans--they're more than capable of swimming.
They just don't have the mental capacity needed to use their movements efficiently.
We humans are horrible, horrible swimmers considering our density and hand-/foot-surface area, yet we compensate by "cheating"; using efficient motions that trade energy for buoyancy and movement.
In theory, any primate can learn how to swim if intelligent enough.

Thanks for pointing me towards this artist. Also I now I see why people this artist is able to draw human looking anthros (far better than any photoshop job I have seen) he himself is very good at drawing humans realistically (very rare to see some who draws anthros that is also good at drawing humans).

I'd say he's no less than damn fantastic at drawing humans, in fact..
It will be interesting to see where he's headed, style-wise.
