I didn't get too far. But from what I can gather it's the edgiest of all edgy Loud House fics where Lincoln comes back from juvy or something for an unexplained reason.

The house went to shit, possibly just because he was gone. The parents divorced, Lynn Sr. got Lily, Lori's a drunk that tries to rape Lincoln literal minutes after walking in the door, Lynn is under house arrest and apparently goes full Yandere, etc. etc.

I can deal with Loud House fics where some really fucked up thing happens to one person. But when it's everyone, it just becomes almost comically edgy. And apparently some Lincoln-centered cult starts in the house or something? I don't really know.

Eh, it had some things behind it.

I can see the parents divorcing if a kid actually killed someone, or something rather close to it. Which I assume was what happened to Lincoln. I didn't mind Lori being a jaded alchy loser or Leni being a dropout at Walmart. Both fates seemed to fit their respective character's rather well.

And Lynn growing up into a violent yandere practically as a defense mechanism to a shitty household didn't bother me either. What bothered me was the lesbian shite with Lana, Lucy, and Ronnie. Apparently Lana was now a butch lesbo while Lola somehow wasn't despite being twins. Look, I could tolerate that if the author was trying to make somekind of a statement but I just couldn't see any of those characters being into women.

All that, and the entire thing was riddled with mispellings and grammatical errors. The author really needs to get a decent editor.

Not sure where you got that idea but people love drama, some popular fics are drama and what you said is true, it may need a bit of something that would be considered edge. But that's the thing, there's only so much edge you can use before it just gets cringy and retarded, and it simply doesn't make sense.
There's no quantified set of how edgy a fic can get before it stops being acceptable however, you'd have to decide that in each specific case. There are times though when stuff are just oozing with edge for no other reason than to be edgy, not dramatic, and that's just wrong
