Just to answer your first question, a detective is a position within a police department that usually becomes available to sworn employees of the department after a number of years on patrol. It's far less glamorous, and a PI typically does not carry the same authority as police officers, although they are often former or retired cops. They also do not have the same resources, naturally. Again, they're private citizens, and all that that implies.

Private Investigators are contractors who usually work for private individuals, sometimes they work with police, but not often. 3. Probably AU or possibly divergence. Going with Canon for now.

4. Mystery and Drama are what the genre usually calls for. I could see other interpretations though.

I liked that but I got sick of all the virtue signalling shit people do with WildeHopps and right now I can't see shit without thinking of it.

The idea that Judy was so focused on doing cop stuff that most she knows how to do is bland boiled veggies, mostly cooking through microwave shit (maybe adding extra cheese or seasoning to be 'gourmet') while Nick actually knows how to cook his stuff was something I wanted for the food TT.
