I would like to see something like this. Even if the predator attacked someone they didn't know, just the thought that they hurt someone will be heavy on their conscious. I know the feeling, sometimes you just need to sit back get away from it and start working on something else. You will get back to it when the inspiration comes.

Or if you really want to focus on it, look up musics that fit the theme of the work. Relax a bit. Instead of just writing, sketching just think it. I walk around the room, wording out a dialogue to check if it's souns life-like. I often find this way that it's too "perfect" compared to what somebody real would say.

Sometime when I am trying to get back to working on something I pretend I am being interviewed about it, like answering questions about if after its finished. Like "How did you come up with this idea" and "Why did you decided that the character would be like this" and stuff. You could use an OC though and think of a different background and situation; someone who hurt their family/friends. Maybe someone who was involved in sports but now is afraid of being in those "aggressive" activities.

I feel like I have failed as a writer. Every successive thing that I write generates less and less attention, like people know that it's going to be bad because they see my name on it. Slippage.

I've also sometimes wondered whether my story was a failed project that I never had the urge to pull the plug on, as it has failed to garner enough attention. But there are also a few people that want me to keep writing. They want to see me end the story. I want that, too. But it's exhausting spending a lot of time writing for about only 3 people to read and enjoy my work.

I'm also a writer and my stuff was pretty bad for a while and then it got better. I know that feeling, and trust me, it's better to write what YOU want than to just exhaust yourself for a few people. ONE fic going down isn't going to absolutely wreck someone's life (especially if it's just like 3 people) Good Writing is made when someone actually cares and puts effort into their story. If you're just pumping content out to appease a small amount of people AND it's not something you actually want to write, than there's no point in continuing.
But if you ACTUALLY want to write it, than keep going even if only a few people read it. That's what I did, and I'm slowly improving both in gathering a following and in actual writing quality.
To put it shortly, just write what YOU want. YOU'RE the writer.
