Well, you stroke its belly first to pacify it. Then, when it's calm, and rolls over, you start making these low toneless throaty purr-like noises to it. This should get its attention and make it start curling down to sniff at you. At this point it'll be wondering why you don't look like a Tama. Just stay calm and keep petting its belly. Eventually, it should lay back down again and relax. This is where you can do a strange little trick.
Give it a strong rub down the midline split of its ventral lower abdominal scutes, towards the slit. It will immediately start squirming in confusion, but here's what you have to do: Immediately after you give it the ventral infraabdominal rub, lay down on top of its belly, hugging as much as your body to its underside as you can. (This will make it reflexively calm down so as not to hurt you, since it now sees you as either another Tama friend, or a Tama youngling.)
Keep on hugging its underside close as you rub right above its slit. After a few seconds, it should evert its member. Don't touch it at this point, you'll just unnerve it: keep rubbing right above its slit instead. It will get more and more erect, and eventually start squirming slightly.
Keep on cooing to it, hugging it closely and rubbing the erogenous zone. The longer you go, the surer you'll be he's begun to think of you as something sexual.
He'll drip a lot (a LOT if you keep on doing it for a long time) and probably get a bit frisky and raunchy after a while (the abdominal clutch reflex should keep him from bucking and squirming too much, though).
He'll remember you for quite a while after this, especially if you get him off (which you should).

Oh, in that case, you need to start a bit different, depending on whether she's in season or not.
If she's in season, and already accustomed to you and letting you close, I suppose there's not much to it. Just be careful not to hurt her, and remember the rule about estrous misutzune: letting her nibble and lick is fine, but push her snout away or she'll start nibbling harder and harder. Just stay there for a little while (it might be hard since their tails are pretty muscular and our finger muscles aint) and she should start moving slower (though still hissing and holding her jaws parted). She should be doing this slow waving motions with her head while hissing. When she does, you can start hissing back (some say you could "rake" sort of at the ground at this point too, but I don't think it does anything). Just be loud and ..I dunno, bossy or assertive I guess.
You can let up of her tailbase at this point and see if she stays calm. If she starts up thrashing, just squeeze down again and rub a little.
Eventually she'll start tossing her neck and making weird crooning or rumbling noises.
When she does, just push into her backside and she should lower her front and raise her tail.

What's /scaly/'s opinion on the DragonHeart series? I just got 1-3 in the mail with 4 preordered and still haven't watched these copies yet. I've seen the first one on VHS a fair number of times, saw the second one once and the only reason I got it myself is being too OCD to not have all of them, and never seen 3.

I feel the same way! Souls gained a lot of viral popularity for being difficult in a "Step your fucking game up" kind of way right at the same time people were complaining about games being too easy. The game eventually being known as a huge critical and media success definitely gave the cries of "Games should be harder" a lot of weight.

I got into roguelikes and spectacle fighters around the time DS 1 was gaining popularity in the USA, so by the time everyone was copying it I had no problem with permadeath, losing a fuckton of work, and memorizing difficult bossfights.

Really? I'm just an interested fan and don't actually work on games, so I'm probably missing a lot of important details. I could be wrong entirely, but I think I saw a few small similarities in terms of design.

Yeah I agree.. It's part of why he's not my favourite artist (even though I love the guy).
It's a bit strange he's using 3D-models as bases. I kind of want to see how he would've turned out artistically if he hadn't used them.. Still, I feel as though he's improving (even though a lot of the characters look a bit awkward, yeah). I love his realistic take, though.

Hmm.. While not quite as tender and "warm", I like it.
I'd liked to see the avian's left forearm and hand, as well as a bit more ruffling on his(/her) body, or head, particularly.
It's nice, if a wee bit more overtly sexual. I like the soft (almost dainty) shading and smooth doodly stroke style. Looks like a skilled artist. Yeah, I'd say I like it! Love delving through the galleries of artists who draw like that.
