Hm, I'm no critic, but it kinda looks like Twi's legs are a bit... disproportioned. Her forelegs appear to be coming out halfway up her neck, and with the way her flank is drawn it kinda makes it look like her tail is coming out further up her spine than where her rear is. As for Whalebow Dash, only things I can see that might need tweaking are some of the fold lines, such as the ones above her foreleg that don't quite seem to match up with where her fat rolls are.

Looking back at the original sketch though, Twi's leg issues seem to stem from there mainly, so I can't really fault you for just following the lines.

Honestly, couldn't expect it of anyone to be able to match my usual turnaround, don't mean to sound arrogant. Suppose I just have a drawing style that lends itself to getting things done fast, along with a few other minor quirks that add to it - tend to like to have sequences done up altogether, no other pictures inbetween them if I can help it, and get gifts done as soon as possible, too. And, y'know, making loads of stuff for you lot to enjoy, too.

You'll have to forgive me for the late response, was dry-heaving to the porcelain gods for the last half-hour or so. Probably unrelated to all the art, feels like I have a hair caught at the back of my throat or something. Not been a desperately fun week so far here.

For a pony artist who hardly does popping in their inflation, this is a really satisfying pop. Maybe it's because how taut you made Chrysalis look in image number 2, or maybe because it's just hands (hooves?) down Chrysalis pop which I love heaps. Yep, just me again. And that's actually the full res of that one. I've been drawing things at such ridiculously high resolutions lately that Photoshop has been chugging pretty hard trying to keep itself together using only the 4 or 5 GB of RAM I have free (8 total), so I was trying to bring things back down a bit. Will say, probably obvious but I've really been having a lot of fun illustrating bits from each chapter so far, definitely will be quite looking forwards to what fun crazy new ways purplesmart gets purpleswollen. Drawing the legs all puffy along with the body has been an interesting challenge, just getting them to fit right, and I gotta admit the whole situation of feeling the pressure and stiffness building up before they end up swollen to near-immobility has been a little favorite of mine ever since first reading it in Breathers for AJ.

Also, I gotta be honest, last chapter of EE really hit the right notes again here. Hose in the rump, surges/bulges to help with momentary rapid swelling, eventually filled from both ends, just, quite a bit of unf there.

It's just my way of doing things, crank out as much as I can as quick as I can, kinda follow the philosophy of 'throw enough shit at the wall and sooner or later something'll stick'. I know I'm not the best out there, but I like to at least imagine I have a good balance of quality and quantity regardless.

As for how long I've been at it, got my tablet in the fall/winter of 2010, started really drawing in 2011, been going nonstop for 7 years or so now. If you really wanna see that can of worms that is my old, old art opened, I can oblige, just bear in mind it's nothing pretty in any sense of the word.

Ah, a fellow hi-res fag. Yeah, I like getting the highest resolution possible for images, even if it's the artist copy maximum full res 10k pixel monstrosity that lets you see all the imperfections of line and color that are normally supersampled out, because digital quality loss sucks. Funny enough I still kinda hate tumblr for their hand in making 1280px wide the standard size of a fair portion of internet artists by becoming an unexpectedly popular art posting venue, since posting external links to a full resolution is a step most don't bother to take. Right, I guess I understand. Come to think of it a lot of the weird stuff I end up doing has been almost exclusively shape/proportion related. I'm actually kinda still pretty vanilla as far as some of the other/more subtle specifics go, like unusual substances and psychological effects. (also for that request I think I mostly just didn't want to try drawing 11 million little bumps all over Maud's belly in my alias/pixel brush style)

And I remember being sorta dissapointed in that little green sequence for barely going into any detail at all, so I think I can work something out for it too, once I'm done making this vinylblimp. Plus I haven't done any water inflation since pic related, and that "600% capacity" bit at the end is enticing.


Also just a random general thought but holy fuck am I glad this thread took off and remains stable. Before it there weren't any decent places to congregate for LARGE HORSE since Inflatechan bit the dust. I had to scavenge derpi, FA, and even fuckin DA for my poneballoon fix. ...I don't recommend it.

I've come back from worse, I'm pretty well entrenched on the wild ride that is pones as it is so chances are low I'd be leaving anytime soon. Been a whole month nearly since I drew anything that wasn't pony related. 2-5 a day is a bit much, but 1 a day/7 a week I can sure as hell manage, even with working a job. Main limiting factor is a lack of ideas for drawing, before I had illustrating Evil Expandtress and the Queen Cheeselegs idea to do, now it's just kaput.

Mainly also just need to stop being a lazy butt and actually draw something. And figure out how I'm gonna end the Tavi/Vinyl sequence how I want to, 'cos I've got plans for the third act to not necessarily be the end of seeing Octavia encounter very balloony shenanigans while Vinyl is none the wiser about her kink. picrelated is the final WIP before all editing. Lines shall be thinned at ends, layers shall be checked and edited, curves shall be smoothed and animations will be made less jumpy.
However, please do not post this to Derpibooru yet. I'll post the final when it's done.

Personally, I'd like to see a bit of a splash or spattering on the side of the Balloon / on Twilight, implying somepony next to her got either a bit too carried away or was left there too long and popped. Some on the left AND right of the balloon would be even better.

You know when I first started drawing it that was the plan, but I ended up not since I didn't think they'd really show up well from this angle, and the back panel ended up encroaching pretty close. Well, you can bet your ass the next gigablimp mare I draw is going to be properly endowed, because blimp crotchtits are one of my favorite things and I don't really understand how I keep managing to not draw them when I get the chance. This one of Line is really the only time I've managed it, and I think most people are probably put off by the head and legs (latter of which was shape experimentation anyway).

I always get to the end and think about not adding any sounds, but usually relent and throw some in anyway. Still think I put too many around the head on that one, as well as other effects, since I was trying to fill the solid color space of the panel. I also broke my soft rule of not letting too many effect lines overlap, so it overall just looks a little busy to me. Well, learning for next time, at least.

I'm glad the feeling is mutual. Seeing other people do stuff with things I've created is the most amazing feeling. And if you're worried about not having any backstory for the images, just do what I do and dump them into a purple void, drawing whatever bizarre idea you might have and worry about the context later. (though going the extra mile and having reasons for things virtually always adds something to the piece, so maybe don't take bad advice from me)

Eh, mainly it was more just making the sequence paced in such a way that it'd be fun and appeal to those just here for the puffy stuff, four pictures of a pony half-asleep at the controls of an overpowered monoplane with an inflationary-round loaded grenade rifle in her free hoof isn't exactly unf material for most. Finding context for pics is easy in most cases, it's the pacing that's the hurdle for me.

Don't feel you have to in the slightest, just putting out content as you usually do is fine enough. I draw stuff 'cos I like making people happy.

Quite the opposite is true. While /d/ wasn't so dysfunctional in the past, inflation was considered the most infighting fetish. Most threads were either 50% images and 50% insulting other people over their tastes, or split threads which died due to the lack of appropriate content.
