For me, it's everything that a mouse seems to symbolize. First and foremost, they're small creatures in a much bigger world, even the most mundane of objects can suddenly become a towering expression of awe. They simply can't help it, which is why I love it honestly because I think if more people in general lived with that mentality, that everything was bigger than them (which it is) that we'd just honestly be better people.

They're not the strongest creature, not the fastest, not the smartest, but they still make it work, and honestly it makes the concept of someone who rises above the status quo that much more powerful imo. You don't need to make a mary sue out of a mouse to have him stand out as a character, it's all about the little things that set em apart which we enjoy. A mother overcoming odds to save her son, 2 mice trying to be brave to save a little boy or girl, small feats that require large effort.

It has better characters than the show, remember that is still a kids book so just like the series don't expect something to impressive, I dare to say that it also has better plots than the show and it comes with illustrations by a varied buch of artists. I even found some of them enjoyable because the writer really put an effort on them.

I've had pet mice before. They can be very sweet, enchanting and entertaining little creatures. I'd advise you to make sure they come from good stock and that you hand raise them from a young age. Lots of responsibility involved, lots of care, and be prepared for them to leave you after only a couple of years.

It was super cute, and it honestly, one little gesture added a lot to the character for me, and really a lot to the Burmecian people as a whole.

I played FF9 far after the fact, and honestly kinda expected Freya to be this loner, angsty, type gal based on her garb. Imagine my surprise when she a loyal dragon knight looking for her love, with a deep appreciation for her people and culture. Just knowing the dance and jumping right into it to help protect her race was a real cool touch.

Which made it even more heartbreaking when all that happened, happened.

I can honestly never get into JRPGs for extended periods. I don't know what it is, I just can't. Personal weirdness, I guess. I've always preferred stuff like Baldur's Gate, Arcanum and the original Fallouts.

Fair enough, I'm like that with MMOs. As far as JRPGs go it's pretty inoffensive, honestly besides Freya the characters are kinda run of the mill FF characters. Not bad, I found em likeable, but don't expect anything amazing from em, specially if you're not too into JRPGs
