The ordinary witness to a massive case, who is placed under Jack's protection.

Jack resents her because he thinks he's being wasted as he's a top spy.

Skye just wants to get back to working at her dad's autoshop.

They both wind up fucking like they're on the Discovery Channel after Skye saves Jack's life.

>>
>>9306345
I'm having trouble figuring out a situation where Skye directly saves Jack's life.
What could she do as a mechanic to save him?

Best I could come up with is that Skye rigs a car to work so that they could escape a dangerous area but Jack could easily do that himself with his spy training. Unless he was injured and Skye was the only person capable of getting them out.

Other situations involve typical action-spy-movie cliches that are too unrealistic for my taste.
>>
>>9306331
Thanks for streaming! It's always fun.
>>
>>9306512

Doesn't have to necessarily be a car. She could be familiar with engines in general, and repairs a defunct fishing boat or something to escape while Jack buys time. Or does some fancy mechanic thing to the vehicle to give them the edge they need. Or just chucks the toolbox out of the car into the windshield of the chasing vehicle when Jacks numerous gadgets fail. Jack can make a comment being impressed by her obvious direct approach dwarfing his own training and cleverness.
>>
>>9306329
Yeah, at least if they hit the kudos button, yourself they may have at least enjoyed it a little.
60 hits and nothing...?
>>
>>9306580

>>
>>9306568
>Or just chucks the toolbox out of the car into the windshield of the chasing vehicle when Jacks numerous gadgets fail

This I like. Skye appears to be pragmatic and simple which can be a great contrast to Jack's flashy attitude. But I still dislike the super-spy premise. Never found that theme appealing when it comes to fanfiction.
>>
>>9306512
What I was thinking was that either Jack drowns or his heart stops, and Skye is able to resuscitate him.

>Unless he was injured and Skye was the only person capable of getting them out.

This works too. She's able to drive him to a ZIA affiliated doctor while he's bleeding out.

How about this: Jack Savage is a rich adventurer/archeologist who travels the world in search of ancient relics for his museum while battling secret organization who wants those relics for their mystical power. Like Indiana Jones/Lara Croft, but more eccentric.

Skye is his assistant and mechanic and butler, and trained martial artist. She basically tries to make sure Jack doesn't die on his adventures.

>Skye is his assistant and mechanic and butler, and trained martial artist. She basically tries to make sure Jack doesn't die on his adventures.
for this to work, the valet's abilities/skills are inversely proportional to the employer's
>>
>>9308810
Well, yes. Jack is good at booksmarts, archeology stuff and getting into trouble, Sky is good at streetsmarts, fighting, mechanics and getting out of trouble. And tolerating Jack.
>>
>>9308683
Now that's a better concept.
But now that you mentioned Indiana Jones/Lara Croft, I think Jack and Skye's dynamic is more like Nathan Drake and Elena Fisher from Uncharted. Or maybe Sully is a better fit for Skye.

>>9308810
Not entirely true. Jack is the Brains and Skye is the Muscle. It's a common dynamic.
>>
>>9308837
Also, there can be a backstory to Skye, like she's a orphan, tried to make it by herself as a mechanic, but got shut down at every turn because muh fox prejudice until wealthy Savage family took her in, taught her butlering and martial arts to be guardian/butler for their super smart but also super eccentric son who's always get into trouble way over his head.

>>9308855
>>9308866
quite, but there's only so much one could do with just action as a theme, if you throw in comedy as a side dish you can get more out of the concept
>>

It's so cold and dark here
The voices never leave me alone
They keep scraping and scratching my ears
They keep telling me I hurt you
I try to tell them that I wouldn't do such a thing
I try to tell them how much I love you
but they won't listen

I know they don't want me to be with you
They want to take me away
Somewhere I'll never return from
They keep screaming at me that is best for everyone

That I deserve it

I don't think I can hold out much longer
All the screeching, All the pain in their voices
It hurts so bad

Jack is gotta be the comedy relief here. Always trying to be the action hero, but failing spectacularly in hilarious ways. Sky gets to facepalm and get him out of the mess.

Anyone ever read The Pursuit? A fic where about 75% of the plot could have been wrapped up in a single chapter with about 5 minutes worth of dialogue between two fully grown adults?

Well, there's a sequel. And it's edgier and cringier and batshit crazy. Complete with fake-deaths. Fake-funerals. More hair-pullingly frustrating miscommunication. The idiot ball grows about five times as big. Oh, and body mutilation.

Anyway, check out Winter of the Bear if you want to lose a few brain cells.

bad fanfiction is my guilty pleasure. but it's not enough to just be plain bad with horrible punctuation and bad syntax and formatting. Like that Trials and Tribulations of a Different Kind. or Unbreakable. Or that fic where Nick is disfigured horribly and the only one that seems to give a shit is Judy.

I can't stand bad fanfiction, I try to take it with the same amount if heart the author put in it. For someone who always aim to give my opinion so the author feels like he didn't waste his time, I feel bad when the only thing that comes to mind to comment is "Hey! It's great! Not my cup of tea but keep up the good work!" since anything more honest would be just trashing it.
>>
>>9309574
I enjoy bad fanfiction the same way folks enjoy bad movies. I can compartmentalize it and laugh at it. And then I can imagine the characters reading said fiction themselves and reacting, which makes it even more hilarious.

I'm gonna shill this fic because compared to usual fandom offerings, Nick and Judy are extremely close to their movie characterization. Pretty much the most in-character I've seen them in fan media to date.

The last chapter has them catching shit from everyone. It's nothing violent, but it is looked down on. It's alluded to that Judy gets called some very colorful terms. And it's implied that not everyone accepts their relationship.
I'm not into that. I think after hundreds of years of co-existence there's more than one interspecies couple.

Judy looks pissed. Seems they're stranded. Probably Nick's fault.
>>
>>9309755
I'm hoping in the sequel Nick gets revenge on all the politicians and other officers that slandered him to the public. Bogo knows what he did so he probably trusts Nick a lot more now.

Still hate that fucking low-hanging drama fruit of animals being against interspecies or pred/prey relationships.
>>
>>9309801
True, but the often the most hateful of people are the most vocal as well. And considering the state of the city, it seems that they're roughly the same as early 70's America for race relations.
>>
>>9309817
Not my cup of tea. Especially because you know that there's someone extreme out there that would probably target Judy or both of them just because they share feelings for someone outside of their species.

Zootopia; love who you wanna love y'all.
The rest of the fic might be amazing, but I have deal breakers. Intolerance to interspecies relations one of them.

In Zootopia it seems interspecies relationships are not uncommon (e.g. Priscilla and the hyena or SPOILER pic related), but, imho, probably there will still be someone against them, even if they are largely accepted, maybe the older mammals, a la grandpa Hopps
>>
>>9309879
Clopperella just wrote a quick one-shot called "It Could Have Been Worse." It's a nice little heart to heart. The only thing that bugs me is Judy calls herself Nick's senior officer, even though she would only have a couple months seniority over him at best.
Fics that put Judy and Nick on unequal ground are also kinda deal breakers for me.

There aren't many long-form fics that I'd recommend personally. Usually those might start off strong and have a solid satisfying conclusion. But something happens over the course or at the climax that just shits the bed.

Movie:
>Obviously Clawhauser and Bogo both have a huge crush on Gazelle (Cheetah or Buffalo and Gazelle)

According to an early interview with Byron and Rich, zootopia is very open minded. Animals fall in love with other animals and that's it.

Such little clickbait fanfare for these two. The first time a major studio includes a gay married couple and there's a big collective shrug. It's cool that this isn't blowing people's minds or creating controversy, I'm just surprised.

>>9309965
The exact amount of seniority Judy has over Nick isn't important. It just seems like whenever Judy is in a position over Nick it's because of their work together and not individual achievement. Or because Nick is a shifty fox and therefor doesn't deserve the same praise or something.

I could see inter-hate happening in Zootopia. Stu expressed a distrust and fear of all predators before the pred scare and the scare itself is proof that there are some lingering negative feelings about other species. Even when interracial marriage was legalized, there were still people who hated it and even now there are young people who don't like it.
But it being terribly taboo to the point that you'll be met with an angry mob for interspeices hand holding is a bit much.

>Clopperella just wrote a quick one-shot called "It Could Have Been Worse."

She has an annoying propensity to have Judy be a stereotypical "strong female character", as in she props up Judy at the expense of Nick. In pretty much all of her fics Judy is a superior cop in every way and Nick is basically her sidekick, when she writes them married, Nick for some reason takes Hopps name, he's submissive to judy overall, etc. That kind of stuff is offputting to me, personally. And in this one-shot she has Judy basically tell Nick he's not good enough to be a cop because he broke an arm and brag about how badass she is and how she is "glad to be an idol".

>>
>>9309463
Ah, there are so many fics I could probably point towards for "fics that could have been shorter if people actually talked"; You know what they say about Foxes, Understanding and Regrets, that one chapter of "More than Yesterday, Less than Tomorrow", and Mistakes.

But the Pursuit? That has a special place in my heart for just how much they stretched the misunderstanding. Impressive almost.

>>9310526
While Judy being earnest probably told Nick he could manipulate her like that, he most likely saw the "Fox Away" on her belt and thought "This little shit isn't helping out of the goodness of her heart, she wants to prove she isn't as racist as every other rabbit out there", giving him the motivation to actually mislead her.
>>
>>9310929
You Know What They Say About Foxes kinda gets a pass because it's not a case of "both people know what they want and just don't fucking talk about it" but more "Judy has no experience with love or relationships and doesn't recognize what she wants until it's almost too late"

>>
^that... I've seen people arguing that Nick owns an apology to Judy for fooling her into buying the JumboPop, not realizing that Judy did almost spray him just because he slightly suspicious and a fox.

Judy was not earnest, she felt guilty and partially she deserved to feel guilty. Nick is not a nice guy for using that but then again, he really couldn't help it.
>>
>>9310987
At the very least, Nick knew what he wanted, and he never spoke up about it when they first had sex. Or the time after that. Or the time after that; then Judy mentions they were just "fuck buddies" leaving Nick without many options.

>"Judy has no experience with love or relationships and doesn't recognize what she wants until it's almost too late"

Honestly, when I first read it, I was surprised that it wasn't straight out "too late". I get love is strong and makes you forgive a lot but, if I were Nick in that situation, I would have been really hesitant entering a relationship with Judy after all that. I guess it would have been a bit too angst and tragic if Nick rejected her/moved on. Not to mention how embarrassing it would have looked for Judy if Nick said "No" when she confesses in front of everyone in the bullpen and says she already told her parents.

I don't know, it is slightly jarring for me when I see the whole "misunderstanding" trope, and either Nick or Judy instantly forgive the other, getting together right afterward.

At the very least Judy's neighbors were hilarious.

As long as you make sure there's at least something lewd or erotic, possibly hot in these 6 pages. I mean I don't really mind exposition and abloo to setup porn, but we have a comic where there is literally 6 pages of nothing remotely hot happening to suddenly ignore those 6 pages and jump to sex.

A crisis in Tundratown is more than it appears. As they untangle the mystery, everyone from the greenest of rookie cops to titans of industry will learn that just because you can do something, it doesn't always mean you should - and if you're not careful, you can do as much damage as the ones you're chasing.

scifi AU - When a mining accident puts an entire space station at risk, Nick and Judy the space cops must balance expectation with the unforgiving realities of scale and logistics on the frontier.

Nick and Judy chase a mundane burglary case straight into the shadowy world of the exclusive art trade, where (almost) everyone plays by explicit rules. To get out in one piece, they'll have to team up with the same self-professed master thief they were after this whole time.

With a little help from Nick, the arctic fox triplets have gotten well clear of Kolsov's sometimes-shady bathhouses. Now they're living the "high life" on the combined income of three apprentice massage therapists. On a jaunt into town, they run into Duke Weaselton, who's also busy getting his life back on track.

Plus dozens of short story ideas and little domestic arcs, lewds galore and a couple of fun AUs like pro cyclists that need more development.

Both Jack and Judy make a bet they can seduce their fix partners before the other.
Judy thinks she has it in the bag because she knows Nick has a thing for her but she's never dated before so she drops her spaghetti and weirds Nick out.
Jack thinks he's hot shit but he's so smitten by Skye that he's too shy to even ask for a date.

Judy and Nick receive visit from agent Jack Savage, responsible for solving a similar case of Zootopia where he went and revealed corruption at the top of ZIA with the help of his vixen mechanic.
They find out they are forced to work together, Bogo argue that size would help.
Judy is beaming over work with Savage, Nick not so much due to Oates flashbacks.
Jack arrives only to show that he considers Judy his idol. Reveal most of the heavy lifting was done using Skye inventions and that he mostly did intel stuff and subterfuge to succeed.
Both are slightly disappointed.
His constant asskissing on Judy makes her boisterous. Then flattered. Then embarrassed. Nick starts to notice it and starts fanning Jack flames.
>"Did Officer Hopps really take down a rhino?" "Yeah! On the academy she did! Two rhinos martial artists, with heavy gear!" "Then there's no problem here! Judy, go tackle that stampeding elephant!"
They get locked down by the mafia due to Jack eagerness, irresponsibility and Judy and Nick get angry. Jack trying to grasp more than he could do while Judy and Nick relied on him.
Judy runs her mouth and claim Jack is just a sham.
Jack reveals her success on the mammal case (the conference) motivated him to be more of a desk jock and actually get stuff done, even if nobody believed him, and that Wilde becoming an officer later made him finally commit on going rogue to help everyone, even if everyone turned on him.
With his help, they manage to escape and solve the case that had brought him there.
Nick keeps teasing Jack over everything and Jack stop the embarrassing asskissing.
They say goodbyes on the train and Nick glue a junior officer on Jack chest, everybody makes mistakes etc.
He hugs Nick and Judy.
He drops his pants and fuck Judy pregnant before dashing into the train and leaving station.

>"So, Officer Hopps..." Jack Savage leaned over Judy's desk, giving her a look that would have left most does swooning
>She looked back with dull eyes, "Agent Savage."
>"How about you and I go back to my place?" Jack flashed a smile, wiggling his eyebrows
>"Wow, you moved on from the subtle hinting and straight to outright asking. I'm impressed," Judy's expression said otherwise, "But since you can't seem to take a hint, I'll be blunt as well. No."
>Jack's face became sour, "Is it because of the fox?"
>"You mean Nick, my partner and boyfriend for a year? Yes, that fox."
>"Please Hopps, you can't expect me to believe that he is satisfying you in the bedroom."
>Judy scowled, at this point ready to tell Jack off and report to MR for sexual harassment.
>But, an idea came to her head. One that would leave just as good a scar, if not better in her opinion.
>The doe calmed, smiling sweetly at the agent while, out of sight, sending a text on her phone, "Really now, and why is that?"
>Thinking he found an opening, Jack continued, "No matter how much bigger he is than us bucks in a certain department, he can't keep up with a bunny. We were meant to run for hours, and that bleeds over into other tests of stamina. So why don't I show you what you are missing out on?"
>Judy sighed, shaking her head, "I'll admit, maybe Nick doesn't have the same stamina as a bunny, outside the bedroom or otherwise..."
>She flashed Jack a vicious grin, causing the buck to take a step back, "However, my fox does have more than one way of taking his prey."
>Both bunnies turned at the sound of the office door opening, and saw Nick walk in, whose eyes darkened at the sight of the agent.
>Before anyone else could speak up, Judy motioned Nick to come over, "Hey Slick, I need your help proving something."

Cont.
>>
>>9313701
>Nick raised an eyebrow before nodding, "Ok..."
>When her fox was close enough, Judy grabbed his paw and brought it in front of her, "You see, Savage, your issue is that you are just thinking with your second head and nothing else."
>Jack scowled, "The hell is that suppose to mean?"
>"It means, Nick has many, many ways of satisfying me." Judy looked up at Nick, smiling as she curled his fingers until only one stuck out.
>The fox grinned as he realized where Judy was going with this, and let his bunny continue, "Tell me, do you think my paws wrapped around you would look anything like this?"
>Judy's paws gripped Nick's finger, only just barely able to completely circle around the thickness. Even with both paws wrapped around it, Nick's fingertip was still poking out.
>Jack's slack jaw expression told Judy everything she needed to know.
>"One finger alone is enough to fill me up pretty good, let alone two," Judy's paws started stroking up and down Nick's finger, much to Jack's horror and Nick's pride, "He still has two more fingers that he can use somewhere else. And that is only on one of his paws."
>She gave Nick's dull claw a slow lick, causing him to growl, before releasing it, turning around and running her paws from her fox's chest to his stomach.
>"He is also so tall, so long body-wise. That area that you mentioned before? Where he puts you bucks to shame in comparison?"
>"He can fill me up with that too, almost to the point where I feel like I might break. And while he takes his prey that way, his paws are free to move anywhere else on me."
>Judy sighed, laying her head against Nick's stomach and looked towards Jack, whose wide eyes and open mouth was a sight to behold for the vengeful doe.
>Judy still had one last blow to this buck's ego though, "Nick, dear, your tongue."
>She watched in glee as the agent backed up and fell over a chair as Nick showed off what he hid in his mouth.

Cont.
>>
>>9313723
>"Nick doesn't just use his dick to pleasure me," Judy said, deciding to be blunt, "He is a predator, he uses everything to take his prey. His teeth, his tongue, his paws, his skills, everything nature has given him to get his bunny. And he can do so for however long he wants."
>"So then, look me in the eyes, Savage. Tell me with a straight face that you think bunnies are better than foxes. I dare you."
>Jack's mouth opened and closed repetitively, eyes darting back and forth between the fox and the doe, before he shot up and bolted out the door.
>As soon as the buck was out of sight, the pair fell down with laughter.
>"Oh my god Carrots, I think you might have just broke him!"
>"Hopefully! I doubt I'll have to deal with his stupid advances again, now that he knows how much better my boyfriend is." Judy crawled onto Nick's lap, wrapping her arms around him.
>Nick grinned, "I have to admit, that was one hell of an ego boost. And a hell of a show."
>Judy grinded her hips against Nick's with a knowing smile, "I can tell."
>The fox groaned, "Please don't do that. After feeling your paws, all that talk about me "taking my prey", I don't think I can hold myself back."
>Judy giggled for a moment, and then looked up, "Well... don't."
>Nick's eyes snapped down towards his bunny in surprise.
>Judy smiled and motioned towards the door, "Why don't you close that, and find out if you can keep this bunny quiet, fox?"

END

>>9313610
That's a good way of putting it. The author is being edgy on purpose not to tell the world how dark and brooding and cool he is, but just to write/draw an edgefest for giggles and because that's what his artstyle lends well to and he enjoys it.

It's just how 4chan works
Take /co/ for example, they never talk about Nedroid even though it's unanimously seen as one of the greatest webcomics on the internet
On the other hand, they have constant threads for series they despise, like Assigned Male

I do think there's some point where hate genuinely turns into love though, like with Buckley, but you don't see that too often
>>
>>9313981
Eventually it hits Hellboy Syndrome where it's just so good there's not really much left to say. Also, shit stories tend to update faster because they don't care about quality, which gives us more content to shitpost about, generally speaking.

Every time I shill fanfics I like in these threads, those are ignored. I guess people just find it way more fun to meme about cucking and mature discussions.

There's just a lot of shit that gets in the way of writing bring an enjoyable experience.
It takes a long fucking time to do right.
Most people don't read. That's just a fact.
Those that do are usually looking for very specific stuff. Certain page length, characters, most just want pure lewd which is fucking boring to write.
Even if you write exactly what people want you'll at most get a "thanks". There's no write tennis because honestly that's not fun, it's less like drawing a comic one panel at a time and more like drawing a body part at a time, and that's a mess to compose.
And yes, people will love to shit on you rather than give you feedback, if any at all.

I don't think shitposting is about the level of content in the source material, but more about the immediate reaction it invokes
We have been making fun of Loss for over a decade because it's easy to consume and doesn't take much time to understand the basic premise of the meme
There's also a recent phenomenon on /v/ where they shill Bethesda games using various pictures of Todd Howard. Anyone jumping into a thread can immediately recognize that they're all pretending that Todd is the one shilling for his games, and people have fun with the concept

So what I take from these memes is that anything that generates discussion has to be short and simple, which stories generally are not, which is why we don't see much discussion of them

I think (at least to me) it has to do with Catharsis.

It's far easier to ingest a fun/enjoyable/entertaining fic, where after you are down reading it it leaves you feeling happy/engrossed/wanting more.

Most of the times once you are down reading it or have gotten caught up to the most latest chapter, I would move on. Leaving a comment telling the author how much I enjoyed it along with things they could have possibly improved on.

But bad/poorly written/weak? I want to talk about it with other's, seek catharsis in knowing that other's hate it just as much. So I either just want to seek validation for the dislike that I have in it, or I just can't keep what I am feeling bottled up.

Is it a terrible mind-set to have? Of course, but it's tough to break it.

>Sylvia Hopps carefully loaded the last of the blueberries into the small wooden box, noting with annoyance that a plank had come loose near the top. She whacked it several times until it settled back in place. It wouldn't be very strong, but she didn't much care. There was a polite knock at the door and he absent-mindedly yelled for the new arrival to come in, it was, after all, both open and unlocked. When the knock was repeated a second time about ten seconds later she sighed impatiently, put down her checklist and went to see who it was.

>It turned out to be a fox.

>More specifically she was quite sure it was the famed Gideon Grey who had recently gone into business with the family. His name was on her orders list after all. She spent a few seconds looking him over, unconcerned about the uncomfortable silence that produced. He was big, for a fox, in both height and girth, standing in the doorway somewhat presentably dressed and twiddling his thumbs with what could be seen as nervousness. All-in-all he was an underwhelming sight for someone her parents had objected so strongly about.

>"Can I help you?"

>"Uh, is Mr Hopps in?"

>"You mean Tim?"

>Uh... yeah."

>"No, his kid threw up on the school bus and he had to nip off to fetch her."

>"I wuz kinda expectin' him."

>"Well you've got me, unless you want to wait half an hour and then compete with a sick girl for attention."

>"No... I just-"

>"Despite appearances I'm actually able to life these massively heavy crates of blueberries and carry them, oh, five, maybe six feet at a time. You're here for six right?"

>The conversation was interrupted by an ear-splitting screech, the sound of a car trying to take a gravel driveway too fast and skidding. A cloud of dust billowed up from outside as a familiar vehicle screeched to a halt. No sooner had it stopped the a grayish blur tumbled from it, hook its foot in the door and tripping. Stu Hopps half ran, half stumbled up the driveway, eyes wide. Without a word he gripped Silvia's hand and yanked her, protesting, into the storeroom, slamming the door loudly and throwing the catch.

>"What in the wide, wide world o' sports are you doing dad?"

>"Saving your life! What do you think you're doing?! That's Gideon Grey out there!"

>"So I noticed. I'm just filling in for Tim while-"

>"I can't believe he'd put you up to this! Are you alright?"

>"Dad, I'm nearly twenty years old, I think I can look after myself."

>"You don't understand honey, this is serious... hang on..."

>Sylvia blushed red under her fur, but not from embarrassment. She was a grown woman, not some little girl who had to be warned of stranger danger. Her father continued to rummage about in his pockets, seeking something. Finally with a triumphant cry he removed a small, oblong device. It had prongs at one end and a pointed cartoon fox head with a line through it on the side. It was, according to itself, called 'Fox off.'

>"Is... is this a taser?"

>"Fox taser, just in case. You're lucky I had one spare. Now listen, stay here and I'll take care of everything."

>With those words the taser was pressed into her hand as her father opened the door, dashed through, shut it, and locked it from the outside. Sylvia was left sitting in utter disbelief among the cabbages and beans, listening to the subdued mumbling coming from the other room. Very slowly she stood up and walked stiffly out of the room's open back door.

No. Not intentionally.

This is one case where "writing for myself" very much applies. I'm telling the story I want to; if that appeals to people, great.

>By the time she'd made it back around to the farm's front yard her father's truck was receding in a cloud of dust once more. A blue car, belonging to her brother, was just pulling up, he was back earlier than expected. Gideon was standing by his truck and she had to stop herself from laughing. He had six crates of blueberries, each of which he could hold in a single paw, yet he was trying to strap them to the back of his truck as if they were half ton crates of cabbages. He'd taken out a set of straps and was busily ratcheting one tight as she watched. The sight almost made her forget the utterly ridiculous altercation that had just occurred. She stepped up behind the fox and tapped him on the back.

>"You know you can just put those in the back seat, right?"

>"Yeah, but if'n I crashed they'd fly through the front an' maybe take mah head clean o-! Miz Hopps... uh, I'm not s'posed t' talk to ya."

>"Aren't you a little old for 'stranger danger'?"

>"Wha...? Uh, your pa said-"

>"Some stupid stuff I bet. Please tell me he remembered to charge you for that produce?"

>"Oh, uh, yeah. Look, your pa-"

>"Isn't the boss of me. Not under his roof, not under his rules. For crying out loud, did you murder someone while I wasn't looking or something? What is the deal?"

>"It's a bit complicated... If'n y' don't mind... y' don't seem to like him much."

>"Dad? Oh I love the guy, it's just that... I have unresolved aggressive tendencies towards him due to a lack of positive reinforcement in regards to my ambitions."

>There was a pause.

>"Yer persnickety 'cause he don't take y' seriously?"
>>
>>9314430
>Sylvia was impressed; it had taken her weeks to come up with that explanation, which she was pretty sure was just psychobabble gibberish. She tried to hide her surprise by helping Gideon tighten the second strap on his utterly ridiculous setup. He still seemed very wary of talking to her, or even looking in her direction which was becoming increasingly annoying. As his truck slowly and inexpertly tried to reverse down the driveway while also avoiding her brother's car she made a mental note to find some reason to pop by his bakery in future, in sheer stupid defiance of her father.

>While waiting for things to work themselves out she took time to examine the device she'd been given. It certainly didn't look that threatening; she could hold it in one paw and Gideon was a big guy, could it really do anything at all against a fox? After all, she'd licked an electric fence once as a dare, it had stung, but hadn't, as such, stopped her. What kind of a jolt could this deliver? She touched a finger to the two prongs and pressed the button.

>The next thing she knew she was lying flat on her back on the grass, her ears ringing and every part of her body feeling like it was on fire. She couldn't move an inch and was either sweating profusely or had actually wet herself. She was vaguely aware of voices, and there were two faces obscuring her view, one rabbit, one fox. As two sets of hands helped her to her feet, her body feeling like a sack of potatoes there was only one thing she could think to say.

>"Huh, guess that works!"

If you want an example of a comic that does lewd, exposition, and abloo, take a look at this:

Frisky Ferals by Sefeiren

(contains feral sex, dragons, incest: son/mom)

Admittedly, it's super long and I don't know if you can apply anything from that comic into your 16 page piece, but it's a good read either way.

Can somebody tl;dr Pack Street for me? What is it about? Why do people like it? I only see people discussing who should fuck who in these threads, is that the only appeal? Is there any tangible way it is even Zootopia-related? I mean, how does the city of Zootopia features in it? Is it even recognizable? Does it feature any characters from the movie?

I'm only asking because there's a lot of material here for it, and I'm honestly not interested in some generic furry comic that pretends to be Zootopia material.

Sheep moves to pred neighborhood during the savage mammal crisis and is sorta ignorantly racist but in an endearing way and he tries to fit in with a culture he doesn't really understand
>>
>>9315753
TL;DR:
A ram named Remmy moves into a pred dominated neighborhood right as the savage epidemic picks up. It's popularity, depending on who you ask, stems from either weaver being the second coming of Pynchon or an attention whore who cultivates a cult if personality, take your pick. It's tangentially related to Zootopia.
>>
>>9315753
Someone else will answer your question so I'll address the part about people shipping the characters:
If there's an update to the story, the next 2-5 threads will be nothing but talking about what just happened during the latest episode. We're you not around when Velvet mistakingly believed Remmy was in the wrong for enabling Ozzy's skipping of a session? >Can somebody tl;dr Pack Street for me? What is it about?
A strange sheep with a limited worldview moves into a run-down neighborhood populated almost exclusively by predators. The series is mostly about him interacting with his neighbors and handling culture shock and social clashes, gradually coming to understand himself, his neighbors, and their shared world.
>Why do people like it? I only see people discussing who should fuck who in these threads, is that the only appeal?
It's a slice of life story with very comfortable overtones despite not always being friendly. It has an intriguing and diverse cast of characters with very distinct "voice" and lots of nuance and personality. The dialog is also believable and quite well-written. These are, of course, merely opinions, but it's what I like most.
>Is there any tangible way it is even Zootopia-related? I mean, how does the city of Zootopia features in it? Is it even recognizable?
Yes. The story is set in a slumlike area of Zootopia (named for one that actually appears on the canon map), and references many standards and locations, as well as incorporating various tidbits and lore from the movie and even the proto-script (including the "Bugburga" chain of bug-meat fast food restaurants). It's set during the stretch of months between Lionheart's arrest and Bellwether's arrest, when predator-prey relations are badly strained, hostility is more open, and species-ism runs rampant. The events are referenced numerous times, and become large plot points. In practice, the story reflects an exploration of the social climate the events of the movie helped create, and a look into the lives of Zootopian citizens affected by them.
>Does it feature any characters from the movie?
Referenced, but never met. I hope it stays that way, because I really don't want Nick and Judy showing up out of nowhere.
>>
>>9315753
>Can somebody tl;dr Pack Street for me?
Sure. Sheep moves into an all pred neighborhood.
>What is it about?
Him learning to get along with the colourful cast of characters and fucking it up along the way.
>Why do people like it?
It's legitimately well written, in universe, and has enjoyable characters.
>I only see people discussing who should fuck who in these threads, is that the only appeal?
It's part of it, for some. I don't ship but I still like the story.
>Is there any tangible way it is even Zootopia-related?
Carries a lot of themes from the movie and pays close attention to the animal culture aspect.
>I mean, how does the city of Zootopia features in it?
Probably the second best aspect of it, first being the characters.
>Is it even recognizable? Does it feature any characters from the movie?
Events, yes. Characters, pretty much an OC driven fic.
Give it a few chapters and see if you like it.
>>
>>9315357
I bet writefags would appreciate it if they could hear me laugh, cry, groan, and squeal like a fangirl as I read their fics for the first time.
I can't really convey how I felt about a fic post-script. Especially the moment-to-moment stuff where emotional tone goes up and down a lot. At best, I only end up saying whether or not I liked it.

>They sold to him most off the things they didn’t care about like 90% off the fox skins and all the fox meat and some other boring knick-knacks which some just took because there wasn’t much else
>Home, home sweet home
>She couldn’t wait to put her property to good use
>They were welcomed as hero’s and the slaves followed their new owners in a sort of parade through town wearing heavy metal manacles
>By the time Judy came home from partying in the mead hall it was late in the night
>She saw the foxes still tied to the pole
>It was time as she walked over to them and grabbed the male by the chin
>Al he did was give a smirk as Judy started to check his features out following it by checking his gums
>He seemed to be very healthy as she stepped back and checked his physique
>The female was next
>As Judy grabbed her chin she snapped and bit the paw
>All Judy was raise an eyebrow as she closed her fingers around the lower jaw and squeezed hard
>>
>>9316127
>She lost the capability to maintain the pressure on her paw and started to cry in pain
>Letting go as the female grabbed her jaw with both paws in pain
>It wasn’t broken Judy knew but it would be painful to eat for the coming days
>The male looked worried to the female
>The male did look at Judy for a few seconds and the weird thing was that his eyes weren’t filled with hate or anything
>Judy tossed them some blankets and went to bed
>She lost her mood and the buzz from the mead was slowly disappearing
>>
>>9316139
>The following days she found out the names of the slaves were Nick and Vivian
>Nick seemed to be the most relaxed as he did his things without much complaining
>Vivian on the other paw was like an uphill battle she keeps on resisting
>Judy was nearing the point she was going to kill her for her coat and be done with it but her mother gave her an idea that might work
>Judy called for Vivian to come to her bedroom
>When the vixen enters she saw Nick tied spread eagle to the bed poles and Judy completely naked but in her paw she held a knife
>She ordered the vixen to kneel in the middle of the room which followed instantly
>Judy raised her leg and pressed it against Nicks sheath grinding it back and forth
>Nick let out moans as the soft yet strong foot rubbing his sheath slowly stirring his penis from his home
>Judy harassed the sheath until she felt something wet press against her sole
>That was the cue to stop and showed the vixen that she was arousing her son
>Said member slowly grew and grew
>Aiming it up Judy took it pretty much in one go beside the knot
>Vivian seemed to get uncomfortable and started to fidget
>Judy smiled as she stood up until only the head was still in her before plunging down again
>Wet sounds started to fill the room as both of them were getting very aroused
>Vivian seemed to be stuck between looking away or attacking Judy
>”Don’t look away” Judy ordered as she went down one last time taking the fleshy ruby in her bunny cunny
>Nick nearly screamed in pleasure as he was in a vice like grip
>It didn’t last much longer as a warmth filled Judy before it seeped out
>”Lick” it was all she had to say as the vixen was in a flash in between her legs licking her own sons cum from her masters pussy which was still filled with said cock

That sounds alright. I guess I'll check it out. I do prefer stories with a plot rather than slice-of life stuff, but if it's well written I'll bite.

>There's no write tennis because honestly that's not fun, it's less like drawing a comic one panel at a time and more like drawing a body part at a time, and that's a mess to compose.
Is this really true? I thought writefags contribute to greens all the time

I think he was talking about fics, but I may be wrong.

Green tennis sounds fun, actually. If a little RP-ish

Not fond of that font, to be frank.
>>

I think he tones it down because he's trying to act more like a editor than a fan.

I wish could record myself reading a fic, giving suggestions, and occasionally taking a moment to laugh or contemplate a scene. There have been fics where I literally stopped reading because I couldn't handle the feels and if a writefag could hear that and know how much of an impact what they wrote had on a person, I bet they would be over the moon.

Not only that but, even hearing the parts where you struggled is beneficial to them. It could be a sign that they need to clarify something.

If more people could do what comic does, even just as fans, a lot more writers would be happy.

If you really want to help out writers, leave a comment on their stories. Most of them link to AO3 anyway. Even if you can't come up with anything they might have done better, saying what your favorite part was and why can really go a long way.

As I said, I have trouble writing about a fic post-script. I do leave comments when I can but they aren't as helpful.

>>9316258
Might give it a shot. I have a shitty mic, though, and no fancy setup like Comic does.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to comicanon read one of my fics, hearing when the'penny' dropped as he read through my plot twist..
He giggled for a while, which gave me the 'my work here is done' feeling.

A fic post-script is super helpful but not necessary in all cases. If you want to, go for it, but seriously, if everyone who read a story could come up with one "I think this could have been done better because [reason]" and/or "I enjoyed this scene specifically for this reason" it would help immensely. If you want to write up a big thing for everything you read, and feel you can manage it, more power to you, but don't let the feeling of "I can't put everything into words at once" stop you from saying anything at all.
