Considering these usually start out as cross-general contamination (for two of them nonetheless), I think most of the regular posters here weren't really counting on going beyond 2-3 threads. One of the current motivators for the threads still being up for some is waiting on a drawfag.

As the drawfag in question, that almost makes me feel guilty of not having been able to draw for last few days. I was up my neck due to the finals.
I find red /mhg/ to be the one place where you can talk about the setting, be it biology/ecology (we haven't had many biology talks actually) or lore such as the GDW, without being insulted and called "autists" and then promptly ignored.

TES is quite interesting in my opinion, but when you try to go too deep it just gets too weird for my taste, so it might not have been the best example.
As for Dark Souls, I'm not part of that community, but I've noticed those trends. I find doing fan theories to be part of the fun in figuring out lore, but practically pushing your fan theory as canon is going way overboard.

Sharing ideas while being aware that they are likely wrong and completely off the wall is fun, preaching your theory because you know you hold The Answer to all mysteries and you know it better than the creators of the setting themselves is lunacy (except in TES due to the mess that C0DA is).

Second request I'm granting so far. Haven't drawn in months prior to that. I'm using request as an incentive to practice.

I rely on references as I have trouble with drawing from imagination on tablet. I could draw from imagination on pencil & paper, in fact I almost never used references before, so making the transition to digital and discovering I couldn't draw as well from imagination on tablet was crushing. That's why I hadn't drawn in months.
So I've just gone back to the basics: being blind to what something is, just recognizing the lines and replicating them.

Don't know if it's just morning foggyness of mind, but what does "splay" mean? I'm not sure of how you want the wing morphed either.
I did widen the pupil while making it look down and open the mouth slightly (can't into teeths, haven't found a good ref), but I guess that's a tad too subtle.

Luna uses her razor wings (which explains why they're bandaged up outside of a hunt; she wants to avoid inadvertently hurting people), most would use claws, and a few (like, say, Rathian and Duramboros) would use their tails.

For the most part the thread was very amicable especially since MH was new for Nintendo systems so for a lot of people Tri was indeed the first. But like most generals that go on for a long time the paradigm shifts to repeating in-jokes and shitposting being the norm.

I've always had this idea for a monster that's actually dead, being animated by a codycept fungi that's taken root throught the body. Maybe a dead Jho? Would give an extra "oh shit" that something that big can still come back. Not only utilizing the monster's base attack but also hitting you with vines from the fungi.

It would have an attack that shoots spores with a new status, "infected" it would reduce your movement, slow stamina recovery, and continuously hurt you, but unless sonething hits you and resets, it would all be red bar. So in that way you can recover all health. Like say the jho dragon breath now also infects you with spores besides dragonblight.

Of course I had this idea before frenzy existed with the whole "second wind" monster thing after killing them once.

I believe making a recurring general is a good idea, considering the overall good atmosphere of the threads and the relative rearity of bump posts.
Even if it's primarily an image dump thread, the occasional discussion is done (so far) without namecalling and at least one drawfriend has expressed his interest in MonHun, so here's hoping he becomes a regular and this thread becomes recurring.

Given the overall scarcity of monster lewds compared to other franchises, discussion I'd think would be carrying a lot of the weight in a formalized red /mhg/. Still, it could be more preferable to or consistent than blue /mhg/, let alone /scaly/ when they're not shitting their pants over a robot. From a few peeks I do recall that /awsw/ had something, but isn't avoiding random links pretty much common sense? I don't know how Discord handles linked accounts, but in regards to Steam you'd have to go through its warning system and possibly Steam Guard. Friendly neighborhood drawfag here. Currently working on the Alatreon wearing a bustier.
I recall OR stating that the bustier supports her massive chest, but I'm not sure what I drew qualifies as such. Does the sketch look good? I'm thinking of making the neck thicker already, so no need to point that one out.
I'm not on how to go about rendering the small scales. Could someone post pictures with good examples of simple ways to draw small scales? I could ignore them altogether.

Also, I'm thinking of setting up a gallery somewhere to put all my deliveries (including non-anthro ones). Where should I go?

Breasts need to be a bit lower. It's hard to explain but the bottom "fold" of the breast curves into the arch below the armpit.
Otherwise it's very nice and you might be able to fudge scales with some wide, slightly messy crosshatching.

As for where you should go, personally I'd suggest tumblr and FA so you have somewhere to fall back on when the next episode of furry drama occurs.
Also, a tip for posting sequences on FA: only list the first page/image in your main gallery and have links to the others in the description.

The thing is, you have to take how tumblr's shitty search engine works.

It only searches for tags, not text in the post itself and quite often it ommits valid results at random to save bandwidth. It's garbage. It's far better used as a personal gallery where every post is accounted for in a page-specific search.

And with that mindset, images in an art blog are best tagged firstly to organize them within a small and personal gallery, so the most essential tags for the themes and secondly to tie them to popular tags they fit in if the artist wishes to promote themself.

Delivery! Due to Alatreon's design, the head is much noisier than the upper body. As much as I'd like to fix that, I believe the problem lies with the Alatreon design itself. I couldn't get scales to look good by hatching, so I ended up giving up on that front. I'm pretty sure I messed up the shoulders along the way...

I hope OR enjoys the delivery despite my shortcomings. Sorry if it seems rough around the edges.

Next up is the Nef Garmud one, which I'll finish tomorrow.
