The process itself remains mostly the same. The only real changes are in the brightness/saturation and additional filters I apply at the end.

For artists with a more cartoony style (Gud's pic here for example), I generally like to increase the saturation slightly to make it more colourful.

It's not that crazy. I was pumping out 12-16k chapters every three days. I once was able to write 9,000 words in a single sitting. It's all about dedication.

Even when I had to work, I would get off at five, write at least two thousand words before the sun set, and then write two thousand more before I had to go to sleep. It's nothing more than time management.

First, lets get the story out of the way. So for opposite day I decided to do a little, short role swap story for you all, following one particular fox on his first day on the job.

Now, for a little bit of a blogpost. As some of you may know, I myself am applying for enrolment at the South Australian Police Force. Yesterday I had the psychometric test, IQ test and personality profiling, which is the last step before the panel interview.

I just got to say that I'm so excited and I think I;ve managed to get my life into gear and on track in part to the comfy atmosphere and direction these threads have given me.

We're such wonderful people, and to be honest its quite rare to come across nowadays.

Thanks to you all, and I hope to keep you guys updated with some good news in the future.

While not directly causing a problem, I think something that could be an issue is knowing when Nick is being serious. Unless it is a personal situation/serious talk, Nick likes to cover his emotions with jokes, even a little bit past the sky tram scene. So he might say things, and Judy could have a heard time understanding whether Nick actually meant it or not.

I can kind of see this; Nick might know that Judy can handle herself (watching a bunny cuff a jaguar and kick a ram will do that) but if Judy continues going "balls to the wall" against larger mammals, Nick is going to have grey fur before 40.

When I mean "hustling" it can go a few ways, maybe saying that he would do it out of actual malicious intent is a bit much. That's my bad. I mostly feel like he wouldn't ever do it to harm other's once he became her friend and an officer.

But more like he would use his prior knowledge and she would assume it would be for evil intent. Thus her brash and "act first-question never" (or until it's almost to late.) would have her confronting him without researching and learning the truth of it.

Like there has been a few fanfic's that have done that before. I would be her all day telling some of the thing's that she thought he was trying to do, but she thought wrong.

I had seen it done both ways really. Some had Judy knowing that Nick would always have her back, thus she was able to do thing's that she would never be able to do herself. And Nick wants to help her out as much as he can, and he lets her do what she wants to do.

Or his age and wisdom would act as her anchor, where when/if she is about ready to act out or do something dangerous that could get her really hurt. He stops her, and takes her aside showing her that she needs to think about what she is doing. And try and look at it differently.

And slowly yet surely she adopts his actions and some of his out looks where she can be even better then before.

I was about to ask why you guys have to take IQ tests when so many professionals are questioning their utility these days, but to become an officer in the US, you usually have to submit to a polygraph test, so I've got no room to talk.

This vacation has so far been way busier than I thought it would be! Family has a way of taking up your time when you haven't seen them for a while-- and tiring you out, too!

Ah, I see. I've heard of a number of agencies employing similar tests, but none in my area. Generally, it goes written test, physical test, background investigation, polygraph, medical exam, psych eval, and the oral board. YMMV on the particulars of course. If you make it through all that, six months of academy followed by three months to a year of probation/field training. One big barrel of laughs. Not. But I'm about as squeaky clean as a guy can be without being a choir boy, so the process shouldn't be too bad. It's the academy I'm dreading. I can already feel the shin splints.

The way I see it Nick could be much less fearless than Judy. Partially because he's lived the rough life and seen some rough things. Think of the scene where he and Judy meet Mr big and Nick understandably turns into a coward and Judy into an overconfident idiot.
Nick could harbor certain fears or be a coward in something because he had been stomped before and was afraid of getting stomped again. A stereotype example would be if they were dating but he wants to keep it hidden because he's scared someone's going to lunch him for dating a bun.
Another example that is more realistic would be an unwillingness to try something crazy or take a chance on someone they meet. Nick seems the type to have figured out the house always wins and is unwilling to gamble and give someone the benefit of the doubt.

Other flaws could include being too much of a cynical blackpill wet blanket or impulsively hiding true emotions even from Judy. Not to protect her perse but maybe to protect himself.
I'm sure if she did something relatively minor to make him angry or hurt him without knowing he could harbor resentment without showing it for a long time.

While that scene does show Nick's more cowardly side, also remember the History Museum where Nick refused to just take the case, instead staying behind with Judy. If it is just himself on the line, he might be more scared, but if someone he cares about is in danger? Nick will definitely stand his ground instead of turning tail and running.

You know, looking at Jude and seeing your translation, I think this might be the "Runaway train car" scene, where they kick the ram off into the track lever.

So I think localized this would be "Hey, need some help?" like how the english movie was. Unless the japanese version was Judy asking the ram to help her...by using his body to hit the lever.
