I'm going to assume it's some kind of counterpart or rival, I don't know.
I'm also going to assume it has something to do with the kid, since the kid's name is Sun.
Frankly I'm not sure how good of an idea it is, but think of it this way, it's a way for us to get more Shadow Pokemon.

Then I get on Skarms and rush down, we steal his Pokeballs and run.
If you do end up battling him you might have to knock out whatever Pokemon he sends out, maybe use that crossbow you've got.
