You just join a server, which is more or less a big chat room, kinda like a giant skype group people can hop in and out of. instead of calling you just join a voice chat, rather than start a call. Rose could also heal every wounded gem, that is a huge advantage which homeworld didn't seem to have.

What time can we expect the episodes to drop?

I think this whole issue is something that would only make itself felt very, very late.
During the war, Pearl could just be around Rose all the time.
After the war they had nobody else, so she could mind the base as Rose strolled the planet.
I think for the series canon, Pearl might have never even asked directly. She just served. And Rose never had the heart to tell her no, even as she noticed how Pearl would behave towards her. How do you tell someone not to be attached to you if you like them.
So Pearl kept feeding her illusion and that's where her central conflict in the show lies. Steven is both all she has left of Rose and the living symbol of how deluded she was all this time.
That's why she breaks down in the strawberry fields. Because she had lost the last shred of a special thing she thought she shared with Rose to reality.
By that point she had been about 15 years steadily backing away, withdrawing into her delusion, away from encroaching reality and now she has to face that cliff at last.
Rose never told her no. Not directly, at least. She humored Pearl far too long with no solution or good way out.
By the point right now in the show she has mostly recovered, gotten a bit over her attachment to Rose and climbed out of that hole.
There may forever be a Rose-shaped hole in her heart, but she survived that wound.
Hard to say if she really needs a master as such or if she can just be serving a cause instead. Or if it's that clean-cut in the first place.
These fan comics really make Rose look like an asshole when all we have seen points towards her being unable to say no to anyone and bad at talking about the hard topics.

I still sincerely think that Rose entirely failed at emotions, basically.
All Leadership, no interpersonal ability, she could get people to die for her en masse and understood on a metascale that humanity and the Earth were worth protecting.
But every time we've seen her, it's driven home the fact she doesn't comprehend how peeps think and that her actions are mostly a facade to hide the fact that she doesn't know what they're feeling.

That's the thng though. Pearls have been wired to be made to believe that they need someone to tell them what to do, but our Pearl is evidence that it was nothing like that. She may have gotten the opportunity to expand her interests and skills thanks to Rose, but it's also thanks to Rose that many other gems get to do stuff that goes outside of what they were programmed to be and do. As Steven says in Back to the Barn, Pearl taught herself how to sword fight, Pearl can build things, and Pearl can do all these amazing things because she's free to do what she wants, even the fact that she stuck with Rose in the Rebellion is something she did out of her own free will. Rather than saying Pearl doesn't belong to nobody, Pearl belongs to herself, and that's not something any other Pearl could possibly say.

I'd disagree. There's no evidence that Pearl learned those things off her own bat Except to please Rose (The person she thought of as her Master at the time) and to fulfill her needs in a companion.
Rose was fighting a war.
What did Rose need in a slave?
Someone that could fight and someone that could assist her in whatever was necessary (Including repair work)

Pearl herself said she learned to Sword fight because she had an urge to protect Rose, which is outside of the range of what a Pearl would usually do.
Know what else probably is?
Singing. But the Diamonds Pearls know how to do that, how to please their Masters.

And there's a very, very fine line between has been built with the natural urge to serve and has been built with the natural urge to believe they must serve. Either way though I would say that it's entirely unknown if Pearl stuck with Rose through the revolution because she wanted to independently or because Rose was her Master and the line is so incredibly blurred that until we get the official answer one way or the other it won't be clear.
Basically Pearls 'free will' could be entirely an illusion, a neurosis brought on by the fact her Master refused to call herself that, or could be she is sincerely free.
Maybe we'll never know. Who knows. Personally though from what we've seen I'm inclined towards thinking that Pearl is lying to herself big time and that her need for a Master runs as deep as a humans need for social contact or sex, in the not-something-you-can-just-get-rid-of-just-pretend-isn't-there way.

Okay let me clarify that I think that in a sence you are right about that. But I also hae to stress the fact that Pearl was given freedom to do whatever she wanted. Of course, they needed to fight a war, so Pearl had to learn things of how to become useful to fight in that war; hence the sord fighting and becoming an advanced engineer. But those are all things that fit within Pearl's personality, in her need to protect her loved one, in the fact that she's actually very intelligent despite not being expected to be intelligent. Rather than saying Rose made a slave out of Pearl for the war, I think Rose rather exploited what Pearl already had in her.

Let's put it this way; Pearl can sing because she was made to sing and dance and whatever, but Pearl spontaniously bursts unto singing (and crying) whenever the fuck she wants to, because she likes to sing, not because someone is telling her to sing.

Within the range of possibilities for a "free" Pearl like ours, I think Pearl doesn't realize that she's already free enough and she always thought she needed to depend on someone to be able to do stuff. Hence why Sardonyx happened.

The big difference being just how dependent a Pearl really is by design and how much is just habit.
They live almost forever, afterall.
Our Pearl really hasn't had a master in years.
And even after she acknowledges to herself that Rose was never really hers alone, she is dying for every pat on the head she can get.
Remember how she fished for compliments on Connie's first mission?
How she tried to abuse Garnet for a kick of power in the Sardonyx arc?
She feels weak and vulnerable and alone when she doesn’t have someone to hold onto for support. Someone to follow. That's why she would fight for Rose to the death, would do anything to not feel weak and alone.
If she was a human, she'd be in a cult or an army or something.
But that isn't the mark of a slave race, it's just an insecure person who needs outside validation to function. She needs something to point at and identify with. But so does Jasper. She, too, is alone and tries to impress others, force them towards herself. But her insecurity is from another place. It was drilled into her to be sorry for where she comes from, to be never enough. To always be the orphan YD was kind enough to take in, and she better be grateful.

Bismuth didn't want to make new structures for the higher castes. She wanted to craft weapons. Apparently she is REALLY good at it.

Pearl didn't want to be owned by anyone. While she struggles with her own freedom sometimes, she is much happier being able to make her own future.

Garnet simply wouldn't exist and love between gems is forbidden by Homeworld. Especially between two castes. Both Ruby and Sapphire are happier for having that freedom.

Peridot originally thought Homeworld's way was better, but after spending time on Earth and making her own way, she is much happier with the rebels. Peridot would never have gotten the chance to make art or experiment with growing organics on Homeworld.

Homeworld's way is orderly, but stiffing. There is no room for breaking caste and that means that a gem that might excel at something outside their caste will never get the chance to do so.

The rebels ARE better for the individual gem.
