Just_A_User here, sorry it took so long for me to make a green, I was trying to write a different story, but it just wouldn't work no matter what I did, and my lack of knowledge in the subject of the green also had a say in me just giving up, so I decided to write something else, and I find this one to be a lot easier.

It's the human male astray in anthro world that the anon wanted, but the catch here is that it's a high fantasy setting, because I wanted an excuse to have a protag that can actually defend himself, and kick ass.

As for pic related, despite a few differences form my description and the image, that's the overall appearance of a rat person, thank god for Shing Force.

From a female hyenas perspective female humans are even more masculine than male humans.
This is the problem with species who have completely inverted gender norms.

(Just keep in mind that in high-power-protagonist stories, it's fantastically important to balance out the protagonist with flaws to avoid Mary Sue-ness. Flaws here being qualities/incidents that the reader would find uncomfortable/demeaning had it happened to himself. (I.e. an edgy/grimdark backstory wouldn't be a "flaw" here, no matter how tragic.)
Of course, there's a really fair chance that you already know all this, in which case don't mind me.

Are you one of those who will immediately dive into explicit sex/porn?

Well, characters who are bluntly perverted are often harder to like/relate to than character who are sexually oblivious/clueless, but I'm sure it'll work out.

You could make him a heavy drinker, ending up screwing up potential romantic/erotic situations by passing out, getting sick, etc.
He could be cursed with a malefice from the sorcerer, causing him to become dazed/mentally unresponsive at any time, and for any length.
(Or anything else, really! Curses are very handy things, narrative-wise.)
He could be an antihero, oblivious and resiliant towards the locals' advances.
The primary reason why (a lot of) antiheroes are popular/likeable is precisely because of balancing, asocial or in several cases even antisocial quirks.
Maybe the protagonist is fantastically determined towards researching magic and getting home, trying to ignore all the problems in the new world around him, but failing? ..and thus ending up being roped into all kinds of rescues and heroic deeds? (This would make for a great reason for why a lot of the local inhabitants take a liking to him.)

One way to make it work and let them keep the size is for the anthros in the setting to sort of semi-feral in mindset. They're anthro but aren't fully human sapient while still being more sapient then their normal animals versions. Like around dolphin level or a little higher. So they'd stay in their normal environments and you get some porn usage out of wild animals "attack" humans in the wild.

Alright, I'm in the middle of some human on anthro writefaggotry. 4200+ words yet and the most they've done is make out because I've got a big boner for properly fleshed out relationships.

There is a book I want to include in all my HxA stuff because I think it would be funny. It's a blue paper back book with no cover art, just its title in black text. That way it doesn't look out of place when on a book shelf unless you were someone who knew exactly what it was.

The gist of the book is that it's a go-to guide on human/anthro relations. Inside is everything from heat cycles (by species), to how to take a knot, to how to make out with a human despite having a muzzle, how to shop for someone with a tail or other unusual body traits, what foods are safe that both humans and each species can eat along with recipe ideas. Shit like that.

The running joke is that it has a dozen different nicknames, from 'the blue book of banging bunnies' to 'the do's and do not's of bareback horse riding' and other dumb shit like that while having a semi-professional actual title.

I come to you, /hmofa/, to ask: what is the book that tells you both how to treat that rat girl next door just right AND lets you know when the best time to invite the leopard pizza delivery girl in for a proper tip called? Keep in mind that Barnes and Nobles and other book stores will sell this book and you will be judged by the cashier if you buy it in person and not online. And it has to sound like a professional resource rather than a cheesy porno title like "How to Bang Your Dragon"

As of this moment, my only title I've come up with that isn't immediate garbage is "Fur & Skin: An Encyclopedic Guide of Cross-Species Romance."

Okay, reading through this thread has confused me as to what some people are after
