For items that are actually cheap enough to sell in a shop, Jellyneo is usually decent if you check out the most recent 3-5 prices and base your pricing on that. New items, items involved in an ongoing event, or anything else that might substantially affect supply and demand, are obviously exceptions since the price isn't really stable then. Directly checking what other people are currently selling things for is obviously more accurate, but JN is usually fine for quick pricing.

When I get off of my butt & actually price my shop, I use both JN & NeoCodex.

They price much more frequently, & provide 1 Shop Wizard section of links for each item. Although which section is random, & sometimes their prices may differ highly from those of the usershops they link to show.
They also show price trends & NPC shop prices for items.
Of course, they're far from having all items, & don't always list rarity, but still.

I actually find NeoCodex to be really overpriced most of the time. Searching by profit is extremely useful to see what items are worth restocking in each shop, but I wouldn't generally use the prices they list to actually sell them. They're also extremely bad about pricing anything that costs more than 99,999. Most of the things that can't be directly sold in shops haven't been priced in over a year. A lot of those things haven't even been priced at all in the last 2-3 years.

Once a database's reliability hits the point where you have to double-check all of the prices manually anyway, you might as well skip the database and just check the prices manually in the first place.

Faerieland here. Aside from liking their colours & team members -although lots of teams have nice team members- Faerieland in the Altador Cup is known for having the worst records; They're even considered a joke in-universe.

Honestly, it's kinda silly, & gets in the way of doing referrals; People could be getting a nice long term bonus when new users show up otherwise.


Maybe we ought to like... make a private guild that we join on our side accounts to be able to see one anothers' usernames, & that guild would have some system of keeping non-/npg/ users from entering?

Ex:
>Neomail an /npg/ guild member from a side.
>Include the name of a painted &/or heavily customized pet on your own side account in the Neomail, mention colours/clothes, etc..
>Make a post in /npg/ posting the described pet on it's lookup or your user lookup.
>Possibly also keep proof of connection to your main on your lookup.

This way, you could prove that you know the Neopet on the main of an /npg/ user, & assuming you're not really customization knowledgeable, are able to prove you can access it, or at least, its customization page & thus, list its wearables, with providing the pet name & username in the Neomail being further proof.
Posting a pic of the pet on the pet lookup/user lookup (With names censored, if you want.) would also demonstrate that.

Thinking on it, posting a screen cap of the pet on the Quick Reference page may be slightly more secure, as only you can view your own Quick Ref page.
Would probably help to include the Neopian Standard Time clock in the image, or such, for further proof via time stamps.


Can anyone think of any security flaws or a better system?
