Haven't found any good ones with Pokemon I like, well except for a Tsareena one. I do, BW and BW2 just weren't all that good, but the ORAS remakes were a lot of fun, very nostalgic to jump back into, and I've heard X/Y are alright, meanwhile SuMo was an amazing game to get, it feels refreshing when jumping into that, a lot of fun to play, and the Pokedex isn't hard to fill.

Meanwhile, I try to play every PMD game I can, because those are always a cute look on top, with a very deep and a story that tugs on your heartstrings hard, jerking so many tears from even the toughest of men, and I can say that PSMD was an amazing take on it, currently going back to play EOS, since i've heard only amazing things from that.

I use SuMo because It's easier than typing "Sun and Moon" but I'd say they were a breath of fresh air for the series, I'd highly recommend em to anyone desu
As for PSMD, It's probably not as great as EOS, from the things I've heard, but it's still definitely an amazing game to playthrough

The main Pokemon series is meant for a relaxing playthrough to explore the world and have fun while meeting a bunch of different characters, and that's exactly what SuMo did
ORAS was really just an HD remake of the originals, but it felt nostalgic to jump back into them

Of course not everyone thinks the same, but that's what I think of the games, I can't say anything about X/Y because I didn't play through either sadly

I honestly felt that same way with BW2, it didn't feel fun, I stopped for years, then decided to try ORAS, was a nice little adventure, the graphics really improved the immersiveness of it, and it felt like another adventure, but it still was just a remake, so take it as you will

However Sun and Moon put the adventure into a completely different way, made the journey refreshing and still a lot of fun to go through, if you have the spare time/money, I'd say give it a try, if not, then oh well, you're not being forced to play it

personally though, I'm just a sucker for the PMD games, I always sink 100's of hours into each game because they're just so much fun, have something like 400-500 hours or so on PSMD and still have stuff to do there

Some people just fall out of the series, no shame in that, just happens, I fell out a little, then came back to be pleasantly surprised and addicted once again
