As for the "beach" quote, I wouldn't put too much stock in it being an actual beach. Jasper didn't turn into a werewolf (i.e. can go back and forth), just got corrupted. I disagree with all the opinions regarding Peridot. I think people are too enamored with her initial reveal and stoic personality. She was always going to turn out this way, and it seems like people go out of their way to overstate how annoying she is.

Most of the criticisms of the show are exaggerated, but Peridot is one of the main ones blown out of proportion. Does she need to be utilized better? Yes, but the plot doesn't call for her to do anything right now. We can call that slow burn or we can call it bad writing. It's subjective, but I think keeping a level head when analyzing the show is best instead of falling into the "everything is memes and bad writing" mentality that people tend to nowadays.

Season 4 really did a number of people, and while it's a mixed bag I have faith in Sugar and I feel the show will continue to have high highs like Bismuth etc. until the finale.

I don't give three fucks about Pearl but people sperg out with pearl hate to an intolerable degree and twist facts to suit whatever dumb narrative about the show magically going downhill they're trying to push. There's been a total of 2 Pearl episodes in 2 seasons now and outside of that she's barely been on screen, so Pearl "episode whoring" is hardly one of the show's main problems and I wish people would shut the fuck up about it.

Greg is great and is imo doing great, had great growth on the Story for Steven type stuff that was the main gist of his growing up arc, and is constantly touted as Rebecca's favorite so I don't see that changing. Lapis is defo up for an arc, Room for Ruby made it pretty clear that they were very aware of this and her "magical" insta-adjustment and it's something that is going to be an issue though agreed they've taken their sweet time with it.

So I forced myself to watch the zoo arc and basically catch up on all the episodes I had been avoiding to spare myself the abuse. Big fucking surprise, they were shit.

So let me see if I understand what I just saw.

My favorite part was the scene where Steven was crying because of how he put everyone in danger or whatever. And was like "I miss my daddy" because the writers realized how much lessons in light distortion was pointless and boring and they decided to use their go to move: pull on the audiences heartstrings. Transparent AF.

Oh and blue diamond is such a great original character. She's sad because she's having a hard time grieving over a lost loved one. Haven't seen that from this show before.

This show is seriously fucking dying. The sooner it goes the better.

I like cheese, it's nice and tangy and goes great with Pasta.
