Progress update for Mean Dog.

Was going through last thread and saw some last minute comments. Thanks for the encouragement, guys. Easter weekend has been hell for me so next update is a bit delayed but it's going well enough at 2K so far. I'll try hard to make an update this thread.

There was a question last thread or so, asking which stories you guys most wanted lewd from. Some people just said 'all of them' and we saw a lot of My First Human, which I agree with. Just wondering if you guys think there's a place for sex scenes in Mean Dog. It's not really that type of story but it could be done as an epilogue bonus? Just wondering what everyone thinks. It doesn't feel like it fits currently but maaaybe?

Also there's a writer I know working on something new, so hopefully we'll get some of that soon too. I'll leave it up to him to post before I say anything more.

because for every internet bandwagon of hate and criticism towards something there must be someone who actually experienced that something and told everyone else how awful it was. When it comes to reading, that someone is me. I am a huge book nut and my mother just as much and my sister to a lesser extent, so I read things they read to see how bad it gets.

I have read twilight, hunger games, mortal instruments, and more this way. They are extremely fascinating reads. I never realized how predictable and bad plots could be before them. Well I will give hunger games SOME credit, they were halfway decent and not complete and utter trash.

this is largely one of the natural progressions of their relationship I already was toying with. It's just too obvious. However I had no intention of it involving ass in the face, and even after you mentioning it I still can not really see any way that inadvertantlly results in that sort of situation outside of an accident like falling over or one of the two outright orchestrating ass in face in the first place. Thus far neither of them are the type to do that. yet at least.

cuddles and spooning is roughly the same situation, but ironically might be more likely depending on Mina rather then Anon. I haven't decided how long Mina has been at college, I think I have been imagining her in freshman year. She and Naomi got together for the apartment/house/haven't really decided yet, a few months back but they definitely both been attending longer then that. So it might still be possible for Mina to get lonely/homesick and run into Anon's bed with him. But that still doesn't feel completely right for her at the moment. Now that I think about it, probably more likely for her to fall asleep reading and curl up upon him.

Also in case you can't tell, All my typing in this post is me brainstorming and pondering 'out loud'. I often find that 'communicating' my thoughts develops them far better then just thinking on my own. For some reason this even includes typing something out like this without any direct immediate input on what I am typing right at this moment, yet doesn't work quite so well if I am just writing notes in a notebook on my own.

Names wise, just go look up the people in that Swamp People show to get an idea of a lot of the Cajun Bayou naming conventions. Usage of Junior is very common.

Impressive honestly. Everything is really nice and neat, and you manage details well. I didn't find any grammar issues or structure errors to speak of in particular besides lacking caps. Wasn't looking honestly but I didn't see anything that caught my eye since prose was never muddled by any issues. There's one exception to the clarity though.

I had to read it several times to figure out what you were going for, as the mental image I had was not what you were doing. It seems intentional, like as a bait and switch joke, but it breaks because of the confusion.

Otherwise the story isn't breaking any new ground but is approaching the 'marvel at smart human' bit really well, and you also skipped over an adoption center reference ore explanation. Really well done on that front. You know how to start a story and learn from others. So far it's comfy and entertaining slice but promises nothing more than that. Works if this is all you intend to do, though it definitely feels like it has more to accomplish.

I think you should consider writing. People aren't normally this good at first, so it makes me wonder where you could go given some time.

I also should have added just a biot more here and there in that area but I had EXACTLY 2000 characters with that chunk and since it was the last one I felt it necessary to stop typing right there.

Yeah I was more or less planning on just the occassional slice here and there, mostly stand alones that tie in together with maybe one of two new things the owner starts having Anon do. Also my inspiration was from last thread, people mentioned the idea about a cute little fennec owner who just uses her pet to sit on and get comfy with while reading a book. Yes all of that just exploded out of that scene I intended to focus on originally. Which is a big reason for skipping all the other stuff like the adoption center was not the focus of the story

Maybe I should mention I am a forever DM? and that in my younger years I was on a really damn good RP forum. I would more call it a 'mutual writing club' then RP because we all worked together to write several paragraph long posts involving each other characters as well. I have yet to find any other RP group that was like ours. A couple of the Vets were even in editors in real life. So that probably helped me a lot.

I was thinking in some story...

A family buys you because their child have some disability and her/his parents have to work a lot and can't help her/him so much anymore.

Maybe in some case, will need protection when he/she go out in the street or have to cross the sidewalk for example.

animals on general are less likely then humans to develop allergies in general. this is largely because of their constant exposure to bacteria and germs. unlike humans they do not live in sanitary environments and this makes them far less susceptible to various allergies.

it is most common for allergies developed to be seasonal, like hay fever. animal related allergies is possible but very rare. see when humans are allergic to animals, they are allergic to animals in general because they are not use to all that dander and hair particles in the air since not only do we humans lack a lot of hair pbviously, but we also clean ourselves so much it removes a lot of germs that would otherwise help build up our immunities and tolerances. this is even more common pf an issue in people who never had exposure to pets growing up. but every once in a while you can develop an allergy to one specific animal rather then animals in general.

so this is why animals being allergic to other animals, or to humans, is very rare. they are use to dander and hair and germs already, so it has to be a very specific allergy. i personally have yet to hear of a case of an animal being allergic to its own kind. i imagine if it does happen the animal dies off fast enough no one really knows.


so in short, i imagine allergies to humans are rare in furries it has to be extremely specific allergy. and likewise allergies to furries are extremely rare in humans in such settings since they grow up surrounded by furry created allergens.
