It depends, if you're just doing a quick sketch and you're not too worried about nice lines or you're going to draw over it, then shorter sketchy lines are ok, but if you're doing final linework or something then smooth strokes look much better.
In general though I would recommend trying to use your shoulder to draw in single strokes as much as you can, since you can get much smoother , nicer looking lines.

I was re-reading Pack Street and I realized how clever the first story is. Remmy thinks Al is giving him a hard time about eating meat but given what we later learn about Al what probably actually happening is Al thought someone was bullying Remmy to buy food for them. That's why he insisted on knowing who it was for, so he could put a stop to it.

Easily my most common criticism. My intention was for the reader to pick up on hints or strange behaviors from Howard throughout chapter 8, for them to know something was amiss. Since it's an audio log that the higher-ups would hear, his eventual betrayal couldn't just be something he blurts out. In the end, the hints I dropped weren't strong enough, and so his turn-coating comes out suddenly, despite my explanation of the week's events in the next chapter. And since the story was always meant to follow Judy, there's no real closure for any of the humans since you never go back to Earth once Judy and Nick are transported.

How big is the fic?
I'd say its good to practice multiple projects at once, but I would very much warn against taking on multiple projects of equal scope. You're putting in a lot of effort into your comic. What if I told you you had to make another comic along with yours?
Just saying for perspective. Maybe there's a way to cut the story down to a one-shot, or you could practice writing short stories for TT? The greentext challenge is a great way to practice, and you can roll multiple times.

Never really left a review or talked about it until now. Doctor Howard was a great see through of the world, he had a solid character but never once did it feel like he was taking over the story, even when it was told through his own eyes. The 1st POV worked well, very well. (And this is coming from someone that HATES that perspective to hell and back.) Never felt obnoxious and it felt natural throughout it, (Judy's was a little "EH" at the end but that was because it changed for reasons I understand fully.)

Her coming to learn of a different race from herself along with all it's challenges and misunderstandings was entertaining and never tried to glorify anything (even when that wasn't your intention from the start, it still was impressive.)

Everything was very enjoyable up until Doctor Harrick, the escape did get me pretty worried of it going wrong or something. But that Doctor REALLY irked me the wrong way, he just came across as some kind of eleventh hour villain that we had NO prior knowledge of. And he just came across as some kind of "mustache twirling, laughing evilly dude."

And the epilogue was bitter, very bitter. I understand it, Howard and the team are all likely dead or imprisoned for the rest of their files. And Judy and Nick only know of that, and no one else knows of the existences of other being's besides them.

It really comes across that Nick MIGHT be able to get past it, but Judy won't. Her last sentences really does feel like she is lying to herself or something.

I did enjoy the name drop without it really being a name drop, though. That was clever.

So really, it had a strong start and middle, the ending chapters felt like they jumped the shark. And the ending left me really melancholic. I understand why it was, and that really could have been the only conclusion in the end.

But it still hurts.
