It generally was. The Bogo/Clawhauser stuff was cute, Nick and Judy's relationship wasn't bad, and most of the jokes weren't half bad.
But there was still the downsides, like the aforementioned hyena OC who Poochie'd the comics, or weird panels like the now infamous dart gun shot, and the weird decision to expand Judy's backstory with a miscarriage (it didn't bother me that much, but I recall so many anons getting worked up over how nonchalant Judy was about it).

I kinda wish BL took a similar note that other CCs here have when criticized about their poor choices and adjusted their works, rather than going all Willy Wonka and closing up shop.

I agree with this. Most people forget that this is just what he thinks. Everybody has a bad or critical opinion of someone but keeps it to himself because those people never did anything to them. How many times you go and think "That guy is an asshole. She is acting like a whore. This guy always complains but is too lazy to do anything about it..." But you keep it to yourself because that is the right, polite and civilized thing to do.

I belive Remmy is a guy with the heart at the right place. He is extremely flawed and that is what makes him an interesting character.
