tfw I quit a pretty sweet job because my boss wouldn't fuck me

she sent me nudes though

but the main reason I quit was because she was actually a crazy bitch but I would also get drunk as fuck every night and send her insane texts trying to get her to let me hit it but it was hard to tell if she didn't like it or not because sometimes she seemed into it and I was gonna bang her in the first place but I needed a job and she ended up hiring me which it's fucking weird I know. but then she wouldn't lemme bang aandthen eventually she yelled at me at work for the 9999th time and I just quit on the spot like a retard. so now I'm jobless again til some other crazy dumbass that wants to fuck me hires me instead again I guess.

>>
>>8781112
Y'know what? You're probably right.

I still want to find something else to do.
>>
First thing I do when I get in is turn on my fan so people in surrounding cubicles can't hear whether or not I'm typing. That way people can't say they don't hear me type much.

I'll usually get in at 8:10 and leave at 4:50, shaving 10 minutes off each side. I can always say, "well, I was on time according to my watch."

Then I'll eat breakfast at my desk, which is against company policy, but I do it anyways because hardly anyone is there when I first get in. I watch stuff on Youtube while I eat.

Then it's a mix of working and screwing around on the internet. I'll probably work for 30-45 minutes, then take a break and go back to Youtube or Twitter. Maybe shop on Amazon or Ebay or something. Then I'll do a bit more work.

I try to make sure I poop during the work day since it's on company time. That's 10 minutes I can save at home to do other things.

I'll usually eat lunch in the break room, but sometimes I'll use my lunch break to go to a doctor appointment, go grocery shopping, or run errands. Every once in a while I'll use it to go watch a movie at the theater. There's no time tracking system, so I can spend however much time I want for lunch, though I probably shouldn't be out for a long time every day; I think someone would eventually notice.

In the afternoon, I try to make use of our exercise equipment. Can't have office life making me fat!

I like my job overall. It's very easy to convince people that I'm doing a lot more work than I actually am. They're also very lenient with hours. I can show up an hour late and work an extra 40 minutes to make it look like I've made up for the time. Also very lenient with leave, never asking for a doctor's note.

The pay could be better. I really want to make more so I can buy my own home and stop living in a goddamn apartment, but I'd probably have to develop a much stronger work ethic if I got a new job. I'd have to be on time every day and couldn't take two hours for lunch anymore. Would also have to get drug tested.

I'm actually finishing my degree very soon and I don't know what I want to do.

There are some jobs I'm likely to get because of prior experience with the employees but I just don't know, the whole thing has thrown me into a bit of an existential crisis. I'm not happy with where I'm at, I want to make some new friends since I hang around with the people I do now out of convenience rather than actually wanting to. I need to work because money but at the same time I'm worried that I'll commit to some 40+ hour work week where I don't have time for much else and 40 years of my life dissapears, and I end up as some lonely old bitter guy. I just don't know what to do, I wish I'd spent the past 10 years of my life trying harder to be social.

I was in exactly the same position as you, and I quit for a better paying job.

In my case, I absolutely regretted it after a couple months. The extra cash did not make up for the extra rigid work environment, and I got really stressed during those few months.

Miraculously, they were hiring again back at my old office; I told 'em me and my new boss didn't really hit it off and I was willing to go back, and they took me back.

You might not be as lucky as I was, so I'd recommend not quitting, unless you're 100% sure it's going to be better for you.

Being comfortable beats making more money, always.

Great minds think alike.

I would always take extra long bathroom breaks because even if they're noticed there isn't much someone can do about it.

At one place we had to clock out for lunch for at least 30 minutes for legal compliance but we were given an hour so I'd clock back in for the last half of lunch if I was in the office. Also, up to 10 hours of overtime a week was preapproved so no one ever noticed. I'd clock in early and eat breakfast I brought from home. Sometimes I'd leave work early, run some errands that were within walking distance, and come back to clock out. One time we had to work on a holiday but there was nothing to do so me and another guy went to lunch and started drinking and didn't come back.

>>
>>8781131
What does being an adult have to do with not doing drugs? Plenty of adults smoke weed everyday and make enough to support their families man. The problem lies in the fact that employers basically force their employees to either change their habits or not work. Its ridiculous
>>
>>8781143
in some areas weed is still illegal so it's only natural that they don't want that shit in their workplace. just the smell or culture around it can be seen as very unprofessional in a workplace.
>>
>>8781135
>It's more the principle that a company can dictate what you're allowed to do in your life even outside of working hours
Yeah, this is completely shit. I never even did drugs, nor does such a testing policy exist in the country I live in, but it sounds completely ridiculous for some company to dictate what you're allowed to do outside of business hours as long as you complete your work-related duties successfully and don't somehow bother and prevent other employees from doing the same.
>>
>>8781135
It's as bad as my friend who was denied a job because of bad credit history. He wasn't given a good explanation, but it sounded like they figured he'd steal identities to open credit or some shit. What do the smell or culture matter? We're talking about companies who want to dictate whether or not their employees are able to take harmless recreational drugs while they are at home. This isn't about whether or not you can come to work smelling like a skunk, because most people are smarter than that.

Where I work, they have a strict "no alcoholic drinks for lunch" policy, meaning you aren't supposed to come back from lunch if you had a drink. It's fucking stupid, because it's not like I'm going to get completely drunk and then come back to the office. I've broken this rule numerous times.
>>
>>8781144
True, but thankfully we're soon getting to a point where smoking a cone with a few coworkers after a long day will be no different than hitting the bar after work, so to speak.
>>
>>8781140
It is, but I realize I'm not cut out for it. I've been messing up here and there and now my boss and coworker are doing whatever they can to keep an eye on everything I do. The truth is they started me out with way less training then I imagined and it seems whenever I learn something, the rules keep changing and I get chewed out for not following specific guidelines I was never told about in the first place. That and they keep me out of the loop when it comes to certain projects right up until the day we do it. By the end of the day, the guy I work with if fed up with my incompetence (he doesn't do much to train me either) and I go home feeling like garbage.

Maybe it's as >>8781112 says, but I just want out at this point.

I'm a night auditor for a small hotel.

Get there at 11pm, work for about 2 hours on paperwork, and then there's nothing to do until breakfest at 6am because there's nobody to help. Everyone is checked in before 1, and nobody is going to come to the main lobby at 3 am to chat, its a fucking hotel. Everyone's asleep.
I can do whatever I like once I finish my work, and I often switch between college homework, and hooking up my gaming consoles in the back and playing online using the wi-fi.

It's great. I can shitpost on 4chan all night long and nobody can stop me. I go to college 4 days a week, and work 48-56 hours a week because we only have 1 night auditor, with half of that being for video games and homework.

I'm quitting my current job. I have no degree, no special skills, and I'm not a very hard worker or social.

At my current job I show up about 10 minutes late every day, bullshit with the receptionist about how much we hate the boss, sit in my office and shitpost.

About 2 hours later the boss shows up, I strategically take a dump when I see his car pull in. That way he gets focused on all the other shit going on he forgets about me. I usually do a little bit of work at this time, whip up some reports or something, so if I do get questioned I can show something.

After the boss gets through with the other people and is just about to get to me, I take my lunch. I usually time this when one of the secretaries take their lunches, that way I can minimize the amount of time the boss can focus on me.

After lunch is usually the hardest part of the day. The boss usually gets to me and starts going over my reports. At this point I try to stir up some drama, complain about broken things around the office or the mess, so the women I work with can once again distract the boss.

About 3:30 the boss has to talk to the customers, so I can once again resume being unproductive. This usually lasts to the end of the day, but if it doesn't, I'll take my second shit break, this one much longer as I have plenty of ammo.

Then I go home and get ready to do it all again.

At first it was fucking hilarious how much I'd get paid to do so little, but to be honest I'm kinda depressed now.

The nature of EMS basically mandates that we need to meet the "system status quo" at all times. If we dip below, or in the instance of a crisis, we get "mandated"

The EMS system I work for treats its providers very well.

It's Time + 1/2 after 40
Time + 1/2 + $5.00 for every hour after 60
Time + 1/2 + $10.00 for mandated shifts.

And there are a ton of other pay incentives we get, it's just a benefit to working in a good EMS system.
>>
>>8781190
Well in some places its not illegal, but companies still drug test for it anyway. Again, invading an employees personal life outside of work.

Can someone redpill me on student loans? I just graduated with an associates from community college where I went for free, so now im going to uni where ill probably be paying like 20-30 grand for 2 more years of school doing something like CS or CIS. Is that a lot of debt? Are student loans income based? Can I pay it off in a reasonable amount of time? Is a computer science major with a concentration in networks a safe bet for a nice paying job?

I'm a civil and structural draftsman. 7.5 hour work days, but an hour to get to work, an hour to get home and an hour lunch so my time at work is much longer than I'd like which really drains into what I'd want to be vidya time. I've worked longer hours at previous jobs before but with far less time in transit and I'd much prefer that any day of the week. Work itself is average and my skills are mediocre. My boss is a workaholic and a bit of a dick so my extreme punctuality makes me look bad compared to his 80 hour work weeks. Pay is merit based so if I do better he'll pay me more and he's willing to but I don't care about money enough for that to be a motivator to improve. At work I simply exist.
>>
>>8781247
No you don't. You think you do but you don't. I don't do any drugs or even smoke myself since I'm asthmatic but I hang around everyday with friends who do, I even live with one full time. Whenever they smoke they think they are perfectly fine but they really aren't. They get slow and are unable to pay attention to things properly. Their ability to multitask disappears completely, it's actually pretty incredible. One of them likes playing fighting games with me and usually wins a lot too but after he smokes weed I can beat him like it's nothing. He can't listen to what anyone says or even talk much while playing either. All of them struggle with math while high.

I tried discussing this with them but they are adamant they are the same and no one could even tell they are high except maybe from the eyes. I really don't judge, I love the guys and I firmly believe everyone can do whatever the fuck they want as long as it doesn't harm anyone else; but it's silly to affirm weed doesn't severely undermine your capabilities, at least while under influence.

Automotive Mechanic, 23 yr old, currently $25/hr and specializing in European brands. The job itself isn't bad. I usually get thrown electrical diagnostic work and big projects like engine rebuilds or anything on high dollar cars. The nice thing about the automotive repair field as a whole is that your average mechanic is dumb as shit. If you know how to analyze waveforms and properly use a multimeter you'll never be out of a job. Everything else is just common sense and following instructions.

>>8781202
To live somewhat comfortable (meaning just above paycheck to paycheck) then you should earn about 4x your monthly rent. So, $15/hr is okay depending on the rent in your area. My old one bedroom apartment that was about 1,000sqft ran $600 a month so $15/hr x 40hrs/wk x 4 = $2400 which was 4x the amount of rent. Luckily I made a bit more than that at the time but at least I didn't have to worry.

I pick boxes up and put them down in a warehouse that stays roughly 35 degrees year round. Weight varies from 1 to 60 pounds. 40 hour 5 day work weeks. First actual job I had and outside of some minor aches and pains due to overtime I enjoy it.

Make roughly 35 grand a year starting which is more than livable for the area I live in.

Only problem is I was an idiot and went to college even when I thought of it as a waste of time so I am straddled with loans for another year or two.
Hopefully with the amount I am saving I'll be able to buy a used car, and put a down payment on a house when that's all paid off.

Due to this job, and my desire to sleep more than 8 hours I have little time to actually play games on work nights. Could be better, but it could be much worse.

Cars are cool because they let you learn everything from electrical diagnosis to the best way to hit things and what hammer to hit them with. If you already own a car start checking out online forums for that model and their DIY pages for common projects. Most owners and enthusiasts are just like you and like having big pictures and detailed writeups for the most simple jobs. Just basic hand tools will usually get you through a lot and even if you have to spend some money on tools you may save money by not going to a garage for repairs later on.

Just remember that if you ever feel like your in over your head, stop and ask for help.

I work in city just north of Houston, TX. If I had to choose a race to wait on that wasnt white, itd be hispanics. Their kids are always super well behaved, theyre just nice, and I learned not to judge when it comes to how much they might tip based on appearances.

The warehouse I work in has you learn on site.
You spend your entire first day watching videos, and then at the end of it take a test, if you score high enough you get basic usage. Then during your first few weeks your trainer will evaluate your performance.
Usually after the 3rd week you will be given a test where you go over all the stuff you saw in that video. Be able to tell the difference between certain jacks, how to refuel it, and properly turn it off.
After all of that you get your certification, if you work well enough or work long enough they give you higher certifications for other machinery in the warehouse.

I asked a few of my co-workers and they say it's a pretty different way of going about certifications in comparison to other warehouse jobs.

Also for clarification I am dealing in produce for a large food mart chain, so say if you are going to a warehouse for machinery parts it might be a completely different environment.

For the how hard it is?
Heavy lifting, and how to properly move shit around without throwing out your back is all there is too it.
As long as you can get along with co-workers and get along with your bosses it's a fine well paying job.

I still got two years left in my law degree, over here public universities are usually better and free so people take a test to get in and the best scores are accepted

I got in by sheer fucking luck though as because of outside circumstances during the time the test happened and they were accepting people a lot of candidates ended up giving up, I was like top 100 but usually only top 30-40 ever gets in, but somehow like 50+ people decided to give up somehow and so here I am

I honestly don't know what the fuck I'm doing though, so far it's been smooth sailing at least but have no idea what the fuck is gonna happen once I have to actually get a real job and stuff

this shit's so boring and I really don't identify with it at all, but people say you can earn nice money from it and all and I don't think I'd be able to give up and try something else as I'm in too deep at this point

however I can't shake the feeling I'll be one of the most pathetic and mediocre professionals in the area, if I even manage to get a job that is

I have no idea where I'm going or what the fuck even is gonna happen in these next couple of years

I don't know anybody in my course, nobody shares the same interests as I do and I think I'm just a boring dude who's not good at social interaction, so I just stay on my phone all the time which is kind of ironic considering the course I'm taking, and so pretty much my only other entertainment / whatever the fuck else I do is vidya, series, anime and the rare movie whenever I'm in the mood to watch one, I probably fap on most days but I guess tha goes without saying

still a kissless virgin too and 20 years old, life is suffering but maybe I'll sustain my mediocre existence with a shitty job and vidya to keep me entertained, I wish I had the balls to just end it all already but I'm too much of a pussy to kill myself

I work as a Pediatric resident. I'm a first-year doctor fresh out of medical school. Patients come into the hospital, I order things to get done, and they get discharged. Most of the time dealing with parents is tougher than dealing with the kids. I work up to 80 hours a week and that leaves no time for anything else. The work is exhausting and a big part of it includes pointless scutwork because the hospital is poor and does not invest in an efficient electronic medical record. Such is life.

Factory/Warehouse

Ex-NEET of 5 years here. One day I finally just got clean and went for a factory packaging job. No interview really, just did an online application there, and they asked when I could start. Job involved checking bottles for integrity and putting them into a box, and conveyor belt style shit. Paid $10.

Got promoted twice to a comfy position because I'm not a little bitch, and I get shit done when I have to. On my way to $15/h with a 401k. Yeah it's not great but it's a nice start and enough to support myself.

I worked tech support at a call center and hated the insecurity of it in a sense that you had to ask people calling you do to certain stuff that they were not trained for in order for you to be able to provide proofs to the other teams that then go out there and deal with it. Pay was decent, but I felt my life was suffering for the insecurities (that would not get me fired) and I quit to get a grip.

However I cannot get a hold of myself and once my savings are out I'll probably be saddled with a worse job. I'm lethargic and might need psychological counseling which I will not do because they are all normies and they take your money as well. At this point of time I'm just trying to lose weight and I will probably cut down computer and especially internet usage to a minimum soon. Fact is, my talents are underveloped and I have little to hope for in terms of skill based work and have no qualifications to do anything fancy.

ganbare anon. If you get finish your education and get employed you can have a really good situation in the future. Always make sure to be at work on time ie being in office ready to work within 5 minutes before/after your shift and the same before leaving when it ends. Do what is expected of you without showboating or trying to take on something you can't handle you will be a fucking exemplary worker.

Showing up on time and performing your tasks independently are some of the most important things you can do in the workplace. Don't be afraid to ask for help or additional training when you need it but take notes and min max your day to day tasks.

If you do it right you will find you spend most of your days chilling out relaxing all cool and there will be one or two days a week when you have to really hustle.

Keep on truckin anon and you could make an honest wage above minimum get health insurance, vacation pay, holidays, and other perks depending on the company. Don't worry about being interesting or not when you got a groove going you'll find you'll have time to manage doing other things.

Average decent house to buy is ranging as a medium of $98,000 to 120,000. Brand new can go as high as $280,000. Quality is harder to find as houses are not built to last anymore. Finding one that will last 20 years without having to repair it drastically within that time is hard.

Yep, I was also in this position. I worked for an insurance company doing some light IT, mostly managing internal accounts, and since my hours were flexible (I could come in and leave whenever I wanted, so long as I worked 8 hours), I would just get in really early and spend my first hour or so screwing around.

Then, throughout the day, I would use a tablet to remote desktop to my computer and RP on F-list, browse the internet, do whatever, because I'm 99% certain that the work computers all had their internet history tracked. With remote desktop, I could just connect to my home computer, and avoid being tracked.

The work was super fucking easy so I had a lot of downtime to do whatever. I would often eat my lunch (a sandwich and 1-2 Little Debbie snacks) at my desk, and then take my "lunch break" to go sit in the break room and check FA and other NSFW sites, along with some more regular browsing/RPing.

Was pretty nice, making $16/hr doing easy computer work for maybe 3 hours out of the 8 hour day. I was worried that people might catch on, but nobody ever gave me any indication that I was doing anything wrong or bad, and my manager always had good things to say about me, so I figured it was fine. Sadly it was a short contract job, only lasted a few months.
