Honestly Aura is ridiculously unexplained for being the main source of character's superpowers in this show. Like every shonen type anime will spend how much explaining how and what their magic thing, be it chakra, Ki, chi, etc, can do and its limits, yet RWBY Aura is only explained as being a forcefield and used to power a Semblance.

What's the difference between Weiss' white glyphs and her black glyphs?

I know the black glyphs are gravity-dust infused, but it seems like they have pretty much the same function. Maybe the white glyphs just enhance momentum, whereas the black glyphs pull you, and let you stick to the glyph itself for longer periods of time?

Yeah I was also kind of disappointed how the whole "Color War" panned out. It made Ozpin's speech in Volume 1 seem pretty damn vapid. If the major source of the disputes were land and expansion, but then gussied up with "Color" propaganda, it seems rather cheap and terrible in the end. I guess how wars end up anyway.
