Well the great thing about moving the Twokinds thread to /trash/ is that we don't have to worry about getting shit from the mods. Moderation about stuff with furry characters is extremely inconsistent on the other boards. A thinly veiled lewd art dump thread might get no moderation at all, while a thread where people are actually discussing a comic, cartoon or game might get deleted and half the posters banned just because the mod is triggered by furfaggotry of any kind.

I don't doubt Tom knows about this thread because he knows there are 2K fans creating our own brand of harmless mischief on 4chan, and this is the only board besides /b/ where furry is officially allowed--the only real mystery is how often he pokes his nose in here.

Actually its the complete opposite, the pic makes fun of people who think they look the same

In seriousness they are easy to tell apart, Raines eyes are further apart than Natani's, her fur is noticeably longer especially at the shoulders, chest, tail, elbows, knees and other joints, her hair is a lot longer and not as unkempt as Natani's, her cheek fur is longer and goes in an opposite direction of Natani's and her face itself is noticeably narrower than Natani's. She has a lither build then Natani and is shorter.

The only people that think they look the same obviously didn't actually look at her.

Ever since getting off the ship Natani's character has been moving further and further away from the "I'm a guy, I just look like a girl" shtick to "I don't really care as long as you aren't making assumptions about my personality based on my tits." It started with her being (literally) exposed in front of the remaining members of Team A who weren't in on the secret. She could have panicked and made excuses, but ultimately she basically said "You know what? Yeah, I'm not actually a man. Don't start treating me differently though, because I'm still the same person." Flash forward to this week, and she reluctantly accepted her first pair of women's underwear.

Natani's journey to self acceptance is not "accepting" that she's "in the wrong body," but rather accepting that there's nothing wrong with her body and that it was her own mindset about women and femininity that was wrong. Natani is a tomboy who likes both masculine and feminine things, but she was fighting the part of herself that likes feminine things, which in turn fueled her sense of self-loathing.

/co/, obviously. Once in a blue moon I would see one there. Just like caturday though, the mods eventually started cracking the whip and it got harder and harder for people to make the threads there. The 2K threads on /trash/ are a lot more regular because there's no problem with them getting deleted.

And what's fascinating is that even though we can post porn here, the threads never really devolve into porn dumps. The vast majority of posts are actual discussion about the comic (quality of said posts notwithstanding), with some porn peppered throughout for seasoning. /2k/ has become my go-to comfy thread.

To be fair, Trace has been going through some character development, even if it's not a lot.

His character started out as an excuse plot to have an average joe shonen protagonist who happens to be extremely good with magic and have tons of enemies, despite being clueless and innocent personality that can occasionally go dark and edgy when he needs to. More recently though, Trace is a lot more aware of the fact that even if he doesn't remember all of the horrible things he's done in the past, he's not absolved of any of them. His original plan was to just go to Lyn'Knoll with Flora and escape, but he's starting to realize that he has to make right all of the wrongs he's done if he wants to truly be free of his past. Amnesia gave him a chance to remove himself from his circumstances and see how shitty everything was, and how much better things are when he's nice to people, but not remembering his past doesn't make him innocent, and that's something he put off coming to grips with for a long time.

Keith is an inherently more interesting character, though. His problems are not nearly as abstract as being a supervillain with amnesia, even if his life is way shittier than the vast majority of the people reading. He's got a glum demeanor, but he generally does the right thing even when he doesn't necessarily want to. Underneath all the hardship and bad choices of his past he's a genuinely nice person, but the thing is he has to carry his awful past with him every day while Trace doesn't, and that makes his character all the more admirable.

People like the Keith / Natani relationship more than Trace / Flora because there are so many interesting things going on with it, plus Natani's weird sex problems make it a bit kinkier. Their problems feel more real and they're problems that the reader can root for them to work out. Trace and Flora's relationship kind of lacks that, aside from wanting to love each other in peace (Keith and Nat have that angle too, though).

She's cute, sweet, and generally pushes Trace to do the right thing, but her problems are mostly of the situational variety. Keith I agree with you wholeheartedly but by the end I'm hoping he at least finds some happiness as his entire life as been one pile of shit and every time it looks like its going to get cleaned up somebody tosses another pile of shit on top. Natani maybe his lifeline, at very least I think she'll get him on the road to happiness as his friend if not lover.

The one thing that comes to mind is how he became a general at the tender age of... however young he is. I would understand that kind of promotion if this was a TV show that had been running for ten years, because in that instance he would have gotten into a ridiculous amount of shit and adventures, probably saving the Basitin homeland several times in the process. But since the comic moves more slowly, in all this time all he's done is come back home after a long exile and stopped a bunch of mad culists. Worth praise, for sure, but to place him at the top of their armed forces all at once was a bit... odd.

In the beginning he was just some random Basitin in a goofy uniform trying to get Trace back to the Basitin Isle

Throughout the story we find:

She might not even be that old, she could be in her 30s for all we know. Hair tips of a different color to her main coat is not an indicator of age as other characters have had two toned hair. The most obvious example being Laura, her hair was orange with black tips similar to her ears simular to Adelaide with her gold fur with silver tips to her hair and ears. I could just be her natural pattern rather then being something due to her age.

Same with Adelaide that is why they disappear in her later appearance in the comic when she finds Maddie's note and in later sketches. Shes recovered by that point and no longer tired, so the lines and so called 'crows feet' (which you see in the fifth panel of the page I linked to btw the same as they appeared on Adelaide) have dissappeared. If they were true crowsfeet, they'd never disappear.

Speaking of Adelaide's age again but not arguing she maybe young instead pointing out why its reasonable to assume she maybe older; I turn to the Basitin power structure.

We've seen that Basitin's can advance in Rank by simply beating their competition in arranged combat and that it goes all the way up to the King. Basitins seem to take a page out of Alexander the Great's playbook in that the right to rule goes "To the strongest" and not by those born into the position.

Why is this relevant? It may explain why Adelaide waited until she older to have a child. If she took the position when she younger, and where her authority was not yet cemented with all those under her, getting pregnant would run the risk getting challenged immediately by those she herself challenged to take the position. She might have waited until she gained all her mens (speaking generically) trust and respect so it was safe to get pregnant and not get challenged in that time of weakness.

Also because the kingdom doesn't go to an heir by blood it would explain why she didn't feel pressure to produce an heir while she was young, the Basitin power structure doesn't work like that.


One thing I find confusing though.... how do Basitin's build the nerve to challenge their superiors when they are genetically predisposition to follow those same superiors? Do they have to fuck up, dishonor the position or endanger those under them?

Also if it goes to the strongest, how do they not have somebody like Sheev Palpatine or more aptly Trace Legacy pre-amnesia ruling

Now it says its too old for deleteion, I did not do this intentially.
