a lot of that is because they didnt actually know what they wanted the comic to be for the first few pages. They actually had to go back and remove some stuff from the Kibbles fire "joke" because it kept confusing people and giving that assumption

Well, sort of.... Mora was a literal prostitute but she is also a Mary-Sue who pretty much always gets her way and is worshiped by most characters. Even if characters don't like her.. they're usually given the ass-end of things (see Miles and Rachael).Her faults are generally over-looked because she is the "Boss Alpha Bitch" of the farm. It's pretty obvious she is the apple of Chalo's eye.

Meanwhile - Farron is a sleazy guy who sleeps around and is very flawed, He's shown to live a kind of shitty lifestyle and luck,like a pathetic drifter. He isn't beloved by everyone or even really gets his way.

The difference is how the writers treat the characters.

Eye of Ramalach is actually my favorite comic of Katbox easily because the characters are likable and the plot actually goeach somewhere.

Back during the fundraiser months to extend the katbox for stuff like "KB after dark" and all, Shaze was buying stuff left and right but kept complaining about hardly having any money and his job hours being cut.

Skidd and phuufy did another comic auction and Shaze dropped 2k on it. The rule was that it had to be a serious bid and basically you had to be sure you could spare the cash. You can't promise then not afford it.

Shaze said he could and made the bid in confidence, then not too long after he retracted his bid and they even thought "maybe we can do small payments or something" then he said yes to that, but then retracted that he couldn't.

So he got banned from events like that as far as buying commissions during those events go and skidd and phuufy don't want to do business with him due to that run around.

They stand to lose more if they just up and drop their comics. T&A or not, it's just a bad idea all around. If you're going the "Draw porn for a living" angle then that's harder than you think because Energy and time area a major factor on top of living expenses. The more money you need, the more time and energy you'd need to draw. And those vary each day because you don't know what could happen or how you feel when you wake up.

Plus there's a chance of taking on too many and ending up with a huge backlog where it takes a very long time to get to everyone and you more than likely have to shut down commissions. And that means you basically have to stop taking money to live.

I think most of the Katbox comics have thwirbstories going on indefinitely without any planned conclusion. Caribbean Blue and iMew despite what people think of them need to at least respect that the author had a direction and an ending in mind. I also heard from the author that the Eye of Ramalach is now passed it's half way point so it too will end sooner than latter. I may not like a story but I will show some respect for someone who planned a story through and intends to end it despite of people want it to go on longer.

The only comic that seems to want to "sort of" rip off another is Rascals from Las Lindas. It's not an exact Leoian level that is Project Second but it's heavily inspired both in art and humor.

Tho Desert Fox has alot of Chalo-esque characters as far as design goes. One that basically is Mora but with black patches like Alejandra.
