For one I can say with certainty that I enjoy most people to a certain extent but if I had to pick a favorite avafag? I wouldn't know, honestly, there's a lot of people I like and all for different reasons. I can label an avatar(s) that I really enjoy talking to though, which is(are) avatar(s) from Okabe. That's mainly because he tries to be dynamic, which leads to weird stuff and rp adventures at times and that makes it fun for me to watch or talk to him.

As for the most enjoyable experience? That's a tough one. That goes back to a year ago I guess. My favorite moment has to be when Seth came back during Homecoming as it was a huge surprise factor, which made a day I took off from work into a day where I had a lot of laughs and fun (an event game and the first Rigginsmania? Sign me the fuck up man).

1) Not really (at the moment). But that's mainly because I see HG as a fad and that might strike people as weird, but I made the comparison when I started my adventure in HG. I decided to compare HG to the crazes we had as children. You'd buy a lot of Yu-gi-oh or Pokemon cards, only for them to become boring after a period of a few months (or years even). I also feel like most people are becoming less and less enthusiastic and slowly losing their passion (and/or love) for HG. But I've had great times in HG so it'll always be worth it for me. I'd host during dead hours, but with Hosthelper never working it's just too bothersome to do (that might change soon when that tool from /b/ is improved by Aikawa, I'm looking forward to it).
2) I mainly listen to the softer kind of metal and rock from the 80s/90s.

I just happened to stray into a thread one day on /v/ and from thereout it went to /b/ and I just stuck around. Eventually got caught up with RPing, which used to be something I did ages ago when I was in my teens and I just decided to pick it up again.

If I had to change one thing? As weird as it might sound as it would kind of be a pain for secret avatars, I'm of the opinion that IDs would help a lot with this community. It would remove a lot of the drama that goes around in the threads and I'm of the opinion that it'd shift to the chat clients, which is nice as we wouldn't have to see any of it. (I do have to say that thread based IDs would be nice so they don't stick around for the entirety of your stay here, which would probably solve the secret ava thing as well. I don't think people would have issues using 1 ava in one game and another in a different one)

Breaks are always nice, I've had a few as well and I definitely recommend it to keep things nice and fresh. I'll give you a real advice :
The character you're playing *DOESN'T MATTERS*
It really, really, really doesn't. I won't reveal who I am but I played some really "boring/bland" avas on the surface, with next to no personnality and I still had a kick out of it?
You know how?
Because I understood the rules of the HG

HG isn't a normal RP community, it's like fastfood RP with games on it.
People consider it to be like a standard RP so they try to make their avatar act "serious" but it's so fast in the end they didn't do anything but puke their character's background.

What you must do is twisting your ava to fit the setting
Why is your ava here? Is he lost on the HG dimension? Maybe he wants to train, does he seeks something that he think he'll find by winning battles, or maybe money?
That's more important than one may think really, and i'm amazed that nobody's thinking of this simple rule

2nd thing: Force interaction, if your RP is going to evolve on a boring conversation about your ava's life ("I'm a school girl te-he ^_^) find something to create tension.
Anything, propose the other ava to drink a tea, creates a fucking earthquake out of nowhere to bring a tension, stop trying to be """serious""" as if there was some important storyline because it isn't the case. Let yourself loose, don't be afraid to put your ava in embarassing situations... The most boring ava are the anime girl who can't do anything but being moe/sexy or the cool warriors who I'm sure are great in their video games but can't do shit here because RP fights are rare.

TL;DR :
1)Consider HG like it is: A game simulator with fast RP on top of it
2)Give your ava a motivation, they aren't in their source anymore, they must have a reason to be here
3)Stop talking and do shit, even if it's a trite thing like eating sandwich with another ava, STOP TALKING ABOUT YOUR AVA'S LIFE HOLY SHIT NOBODY DOES THAT IN REAL LIFE

I agree with many of your points. But the thing is the moment we talk about RP fights in this community it will be condemned as autistic and people will shun you for that shit. That is the reason on why RP fights are rare. There is a reason that HG is somewhat unenjoyable to a certain extent because the limitations are grey, the next thing you do might be a reason to shitpost you.
And the fact that this place glorifies shitposting RP compared to the "Fastfood RP" that you mentioned is another reason on which why HG is kinda unwelcoming to certain people.
Heck the most fun character I played was a super serious character until a fight is about to break out which then I decided to back off.
But then again what do I know, I never touched the thread for like 5 months now or so. Maybe things have changed or something has probably changed.
So yeah.
