say that tomorrow you wake up in your ideal dragon body (although not unreasonably huge or with OP magical powers beyond fire breath and biological immortality), and for whatever reason, you are still able to continue on with your life pretty much as it is now. like, your lifestyle changes to accommodate your new body won't be any more different than if you discovered you had T1 diabetes or something, except it won't suck.

As for why you are able to do so, it doesn't really matter, but let's just say that maybe enough other people get changed to avoid you getting singled out by the government or media or whatever, or maybe the ACLU is on their A-game and keeps you from getting V& to area 51, or maybe you can shape shift back into a human at will, or maybe that whatever larger event that caused the change is taking everybody's attention away from you. Not all that important.

After lurking in the /mhg/ Discord for a bit to see how it was, it just made me all the more glad that /scaly/ doesn't use one in general. Not because it could divert content from here, but because its sole existence completely shits up the threads.

Tencent botnet or not, it's not even exactly a Discord-specific problem; the older IRC was also treated by thread-goers as if it was like the fucking Illuminati. And of course, drama is bound to happen in regards to its frequenters, especially when the fucking place has a blacklisting meme still in circulation.

With that said however, a lot of the shitflinging could be stopped if certain individuals didn't blurt out their names on the content they post. I know some of them do assist with circulating information like those who maintain the pastebins here, but still; maybe if you don't record footage of yourself being out of practice then perhaps it would be better for the general because that shit is prime shitpost material.

Now with that said, by virtue of being based around a video game franchise, in /mhg/'s case their Discord rooms available are actually very good to help find interest to set up rooms for specific MH games, and there are people who bother with only those rooms to just fucking hunt. And some thread-goer(s?) doesn't see it as being all that reasonable and calls out people who post the room details in both the thread and Discord, so there's certainly some irrationality on the thread's side of things as well.

Story driven should be good since combat in sex games all tend to go down either "intentionally lose and get raped, or stat grind to btfo errybody." That's it.

What you could do is include choices that could lead to some rape scenarios instead ie-- yes goy, just give up to the big hulking beast, what could go wrong?

Otherwise story driven give you a free range to go down a number of different paths, which could end up very varied depending on effort. It also removes the strain of not only having to program combat, but also how to balance it, make stats, end up changing things in case you add something later (like when in CoC something is later added and never brought up in a scenario it realistically should be available).

Yes. Though I can't really say the same for other generals, they may be different cases depending on how the regulars are treated. But for /mhg/ specifically at least? Now there is one recent case where an anon is saying one of the Discord frequenters is irrationally kicking other players, but he hasn't really provided anything to back it up so I don't know if it's true or not.

Discord's ease of availability (mobile and browser clients, for instance) is probably why it's so popular. It feels like what would happen if someone made a fan game in gmod or something. It somehow looks worse than vanilla skyrim, and the tiny amount of latency present in MMOs ruins the TES-style combat. On top of that, their servers are pretty shitty, some days I simply can't log in. Character creation is also pretty mediocre by today's standards, again somehow not as good as vanilla skyrim even before mods become a thing.

The thing that really broke it for me is that in order to actually compete in the endgame, you're required to pull off some whacky, buggy, animation cancels and weapon swapping. They aren't even that hard to do, but they really take you out of the game, turning it into more of an exercise and less of an experience.
70% of the time I play TESO I just find myself wishing I was playing skyrim.

Pic is a crude diagram of my dorm, I live on the first floor of east hall. South hall down there are supposed to follow the blue lines to get to their dorm. Most of them follow the red.
I have the pleasure of listening to an entire wing's worth of dorm traffic because of these lazy fucks and it's awful.

I've yet to hear about dorms here across the ocean. Students mostly reside in regular apartments, albeit often shared with others.

Since you need earplugs, is the room small, or is the sound isolation just horrible? I'm guessing kitchen and bathrooms are communal?

Generally I just listen to either industrial techno, some type of chill progressive, or sometimes metal (not very much, usually either rammstein or in flames) until I feel tired enough to fall asleep.

Rarely I'll have a reoccurring dream where I'm a dragon wearing a ring that disguises me as human, in a crowded middle-eastern type fantasy market, with a small group of IRL friends haggling for a loaf of bread or something. Then some small, mysterious girl/woman with magical powers will be getting chased by guards, and somehow see through my disguise, and start running towards me. I'll be busy trying to out-jew the bread merchant, and she'll run up behind me without me noticing, and disable the ring by tapping on my shoulder. I then instantly turn back into my true form, and everyone in the market flips the fuck out while the girl loses the guards in the chaos. I then have to run/fly rooftop to rooftop to avoid ballista fire, and somehow manage to escape to some cave a few miles from the town, where I meet up with the rest of my group, who'd grabbed my shit I left behind. The dream usually loses cohesion past this part.

What's weird is that it's always in third person (except sometimes the brief transformation part), so it's never very immersive and I always know it's a dream.

The only scaly related dream I remember having is when I watched Eragon and I dreamt I had my own dragon and had to save my parents, and after I started playing Dawn of the Dragon where I was a Spyro anthro in an mmo doing errands for a kingdom and had a Cynder anthro GF that was helping me.

It's reversed for me. I'll dream all my dreams in third-person aside from a few.

One that stand out is the one set in some abandoned zombie town, where I in bird's-view flew around 'til I found a particular roof top. I would then become human, and try to calm the dragoness that is chained to the roof.

The other ones I specifically remember are the ones where I'm jumping from a tall building as a lombrax, and doing the same, but as a lombrax-sized Temeraire.

I also flew on Toothless in an empty carnival in the hunt for chocolate cake once.

Perhaps I should remind myself to keep a dream journal. I bet there are tons of dreams like these I've forgotten past breakfast.
