This "weekend" arc should mainly be focused on the two characters exploring each other. The parents could ask the nerd cheetah about the smell of human and carrots, and she could play it off with something like "O-oh, I had a study buddy over earlier, we worked on this really interesting astronomical physics theory..." and the parents simply zoning out and dismissing the geeks ramblings as harmless.

But the sporty sister would be far more curious, which could lead to a "curiosity killed the cat" chapter, where to keep her quiet the human and the nerd have a BDSM fucking session with her until she swears to keep quiet. Could involve blackmail or some such other incentive to make it more believable.

I'd like to commission someone for a fic.

Okay. So here is my idea:

So society is segregated into normal humans and those with animal/monster like traits.

Main protagonist is a guy who gets wrapped up into a "12 years a slave" type of plot.

He ends up getting owned by the daughter of some important figure on the wrong side of the wall.

Problem is that while she is big and formidable, she is actually adorkable sort of.

She doesn't believe in monsters or whatever owning human and vice versa.

Doesn't really know what to do with her new pet. Leads to hijinks and shenanigans and almost fucking.

Main protag and his owner finally decide they love each other in the course of said hijinks and shenanigans and eventually make real love.

She eventually gets pregnant and she and her human are trying to hide it and their relationship.

Both sides of the wall find out. (It's really taboo, see?) Shit hits the fan.

With both sides after them, they have to escape. Cue small wedding ceremony during the efforts to escape.

Epilogue has them living in a place away from segregated society with other human and monster/animal people couples in seclusion with newborn child.

There's also the issue of whether there are still regular animals around. If not, then cows and wool giving animals like sheep would still need to give humans wool and milk. The issue with anthro sea life is that they need water/to be wet 24/7 in order to survive. They could work if anthros are more feral/tribal in the setting and stay in their natural habitats. I am already imagining at least one gigantic city in the world that tries to accommodate every species. It's what makes it famous. I think there's no one reason but oftentimes it has to do with the anthro being the protag in most scenarios. So he's given a relatable partner and shit like that.

A lot of anthro type races and creatures are generally bigher and stronger than humans too. Plebs don't like the idea of a girl stronger than them, and it's true that it does make power fantasies trickier to pull off. If the protag is a human in fantasy land who can also overcome his limits and come out stronger there's another issue. He'll get with the least offensive and most broadly appealing choice so as to not offend plebs. You want your male audience to resonate with your MC's choices. It's also why Christmas cakes, chubby girls, and gyaru types never win in harems. Too many guys who would throw shitfits at that. "Good" is extremely relative, especially when it comes to oldschool science fiction. Though, this is from 1978, so it'll have a lot of conventions we are used to, at least.

But science fiction is a terribly broad genre, especially oldschool science fiction. This stuff looks a little pulpy, which is a genre that basically doesn't exist anymore, except for hipsters paying homage to it. Poorly. And pulp itself was used by writers who wanted to do serious stuff, but couldn't find an entry into the regular market.

Though, The Wanderer apparently won the Hugo Award. But that just goes to show you can never really tell.

You also get stuff like Cordwainer Smith, who has a short story where a man abuses time travel to evolve a planet of cat people with a central ethos about protecting him, so they can help him fight off gay, transgender space pirates.

Not his strongest story, but entertaining. Point is, science fiction unifies a lot of styles. As a genre, it's based around it's speculative nature rather than "it's about crime or romance". Personally, I think that diversity has taken a bit of a nose-dive in recent years. I've tried reading modern writers, but it's not for me.

I personally can't see the typical large animals being the 'largest' in anthro form. Certainly elephant men would be big, but only like Andre the Giant big at the most.
Now stuff like Lamia would ironically become 'bigger' then the elephants. Normal sized human torso sure, but that snake body would have to be immense.

Andre weighed about 520 lbs. I imagine a elephant man at andre's height would be bulkier then andre, so let's say 600-700 lbs

Anacondas the biggest snakes can weigh in at a whopping 550 lbs. slap a human torso on top of that, and probably add a bit more bulk in the hip region for the transition and you might see a 600+lb creature.
