There's some issues people have with Peridot that I kinda don't understand too much? Like, when people say she isn't "serious" or whatever, it's like, her arc showed that much of her more chill demeanor was just a front, peeling away as gems destroyed her machines, getting trapped on earth, having to work with people she didn't trust, and ultimately betraying her Homeworld. The first time we saw the "true" Peridot was probably "Too Short to Ride" or "Beta", since in all the episodes before, she was trying to project a cool and calm image onto herself.

Or when people say she isn't logical or techy enough, when we've seen her be both of those things. Of course, now that it's not literally her job to be those things, she's not gonna be them as often or as intensely, but she still is, esp when the opportunity calls. We've seen her interacting with tech in "Too Short to Ride", "Beta", "The Kindergarten Kid", "Gem Harvest", and "Adventures in Light Distortion", and in all of her post-arc episodes, she still displays a use of logic in her ideas and reasoning, even if it isn't as strict as it used to be before betraying Homeworld.

I find that episode to be one of my all time favorites, as a Pearlfag.

Pearl did act shitty back then but I think that episode fotmed a turning point grom how Pearl started to see Steven as his own person and not just the body of a human keeping Rose trapped inside her gem.

I also find her actions to be quite realistic and in accordance to someone who has been deeply scarred where the wound is still fresh.

She goes from grief > genuinely wanting to get rid of Steven > showing regret > feeling guilt > acceptance of Steven

Someone brought up Jasper being more evil than YD too.. Which l think is ridiculous, since YD created the fucking cluster and wants to blow up Earth out of pettiness. The only people Jasper has hurt that were uninvolved with the injustices done to her were the dogs, and if you're going to call her evil for hurting them while trying to get their help then Lapis must be "evil" for hurting Jasper and Connie and Steven while she was trying to get her revenge, since they were all uninvolved with trapping her in the mirror.

Yeah she's an aggressive cunt, and she doesn't get sad and cry because she is someone who doesn't like to show her vulnerabilities and weaknesses and doesn't have a lot of experience with love or relationships, but that doesn't mean she's evil or that it's weird for Steven to want to help her after he realized how Rose's actions affected her life since he has done the same for other characters.

From my point of view,its biggest fault is the filler and lapis.Everything else is fine but they cant seem to find good eps for them this season
