I'd like it if a "pet" yinglet makes an appearance instead of it remaining a background idea for infodumps. The relations between species is an important part of this comic and seeing aliens living in a human household would be pretty interesting. Otherwise what else should I do my art if not for a sort of attention, since I stick to "not going to do art for money" trope, witch is my "spine in art" for me.

I secretly hope that one day someone would point what I did not notice in the first place, or tell me something what would actually help... but it actually happened when I was fucked with perspective.

I got help from many sources, even from places I did not excepted, yet I failed, and yes again something not "success" what Im writing about.

Wish I could just embrace these simple motives and sentences you wrote and I keep finding in tutorial and shit, but in reality they dont seem to be that simple or self telling (like how its not as simple to saw perfectly vertical, while its "menial" work.)

Totally. Until it gets beat out of them by the smarter strays, who know to specifically prey on the goodwill of young adults with lots of things worth lifting.

Of course, I think in-universe it is only a small fraction of houses that bothers with house-yinglets. Most people probably grow up in human-only households, maybe a more traditional non-sentient bugpet if anything.

But overall, the average human probably feels some sort of compassion towards the average yinglet, even if that is half pity for an obvious lower class and half patronizing pet care, they dont even understand when they are being talked down to so its a win-win situation. They're a parasitic race that can live an incredibly long time and that keep (most of) the memories of all their past hosts. This way they amassed tremendous knowledge, often by uncovering or stealing powerful technology from ancient races. Using all this tech they build a mighty space empire, despite being little more than well evolved space-slugs. They often take human hosts and rule over human slaves posing as gods. Though in the series there are many instances where they were forced to take alternate hosts.

There's one great episodes where the Tauri (Earth humans who serve as the protagonists in the series) uncover an ancient tomb where they hope to find sweet alien tech. They learn that the goa'uld (that's what the parasites are called) within this tomb was so tyrannical that his priests rebelled against him. They trapped him inside a sarcophagus, along with some kind of giant flesh-eating beetle. The sarcophagus possess powerful healing technology that would have tried to keep him alive as long as possible, while the beetle continuously nibbled at his flesh.

But, plot twist! The goa'uld just went into the beetle, so when the team opens the tomb, they find a skeleton and a super-intelligent, super pissed off space beetle that goes on a killing-spree.

It's from the Stargate SG1 series. The Goa'uld are a parasitic species that scavenged some tech from the ruins of a much older and greater civilization; when they found Earth, they discovered that humans were basically the perfect host organism and spread them out across millions of worlds through the stargate network (which they didn't make).

I'm sure they were inspired by the Mummy. There are a lot of episodes that do little "nods" like that. As to the spinal cord, maybe the beetle had some equivalent nervous system that the symbiot was able to tap into.

But coming back to the Yinglets... They would make great astronauts. One of the biggest burdens for manned spacecrafts is keeping humans supplied with food, water, oxygen, and living space. These systems all take up a huge amount of space and weight. If I remember the comic correctly, Yinglets have much more simple nutrition requirements. And the fact that they are physically small (most of them anyway) means a typical capsule could be much smaller while holding the same number of crew-members. You could devote the spare space and weight to better armor, better engines, better ship systems overall.

Basic tasks = use unmanned robots
Moderately complex tasks = Send a yinglet crew (or a Scav Squad)
Really complex tasks = send actual humans with complicated human equipment

They used squibs on occasion, but nothing too gory. It was rated PG I think. The enemies often wore metallic armor so to have dramatic death shots they would have sparks flying off the armor to show a spray of bullets had hit the guy. He would cry out and fall over. I remember one time the Colonel gunned down an Unas (big repilian looking thing) and it took dozens of bullets to finish him. He had holes all over him with blue alien blood gushing out, it was pretty good.

Mostly they use convential weapons, since the alien's weapons are surprisingly weak (except for the 'Zat gun', that was neat). Although they do develop some sci-fi stuff for countering specific enemies and such.

Usually that term implies an instant change in mindset and often memories, such that you might of well have simply killed the original person and used his lifeless body as the raw materials to create a new being. Coming to accept it with time is different, it's a natural form of coping with hardship. I was drawn in by one of the recent (baxid-related) field guides, and briefly saw one other page (but enough to see that there was a significant character that was a yinglet, although I knew nothing but the general appearance of the species).

I'd say I was surprised, but not shocked, by the TF. I didn't expect it, but I'd figured out what was going on (and implicitly what the main plot would be about) before I'd even halfway finished reading the TF page.

Maybe I've been desensitized by EGS, or maybe I'm still in the closet, but I'm neither turned on nor put off by TF in and of itself. (I've seen stuff like this, which does it well, stuff which I would rate more highly as horror than hentai, and the majority which is about as sexy as pot-making.)

Tiny races are the shit, and throwing Yinglets into a bunch of fantasy settings along with goblins, gnomes, harpys, sergals, etc. And seeing a bunch of humans react to that is fun as hell

I think the TF stuff serves as a nice gimmick to "grab" peoples attentions initially. Say you love well-written fantasy worlds all you want, that doesn't make the promise of "my story will be good!" ring any less empty to strangers. I wouldn't have heard about this in the first place were it not for the audience it grew, and that audience would probably not be what it is today were that gimmick not there in the first place to sow the seeds of interest.

Somewhere down the line, I can see a trip to the yinglet capitol happening (and with it exposition on conservative yinglet culture), as well as further investigation into Indrel/dragon-people morphology and culture (chekhov's gun, the second I saw that blacked-out silhouette of Indrel queens/males, I KNEW we would be seeing an Indrel arc eventually).

Also note how that one field guide mentioned an "other" 2% of species in Val Salia that we havent even met yet. Theres plenty of room for further exposition, but right now is time for introducing Lopin as a main character. People like to talk shipping, but I'm sure he's only so prominent right now so as to establish his character, not for "muh kassbowl". Things will probably go back to normal soon.

Killing or exiling escapee females isn't worth it, so I guess if there was a repeat offender, the enclave might decide she wasn't worth the trouble and just trade her off.

The breeding stuff is a touchy subject because I don't think Val wants to mention it in his silly light-hearted comedy story (understandably so), but if history is any indication, then the animalistic, immature nature of yinglets coupled with the dire breeding dynamics of the species means they probably take this shit seriously. Females who refuse to fug who the matriarch says either get societally pressured into doing it, get traded away or raped ;;.

Yingladies live in absolute luxury compared to most Yinglets. Any Yinglet female from a small enclave or has otherwise been separated from her group is probably on the prowl for a new enclave.
A rebellious female probably happens so rarely that they don't have any sort of unified method for dealing with it.

Hopefully a matriarch realizes that a successful breeder is a comfortable one, so rape dungeons are probably unlikely
