Here is the thing I am most curious about; why was Judy checking if she was pregnant in the first place? Nick clearly thought that it wasn't possible for them to have children, so by logic Judy must have thought the same thing. If she starts showing symptoms, she should think "Oh I am sick, I need to go to a doctor" instead of "Oh, I am feeling ill, let me check if I have been impregnated by my fox lover who's seed shouldn't be compatible with my eggs."

I definitely enjoyed it; I couldn't help pitying Nick for being stuck in that situation but also at the same time thinking "well, you could have saved everyone some time at the beginning" since it basically resulted in the same thing. Judy was kind of similar, in which I thought "That is Judy!" and at the same time "...Judy would do this." Kris...well, her situation sucked entirely, hopefully things get better for her now that everyone's cards are on the table.

I liked the ambiguous ending; Nick is definitely going to have to shift through his emotions now and rethink what he wants. There is no easy answer going forward for him.

Also, it's best if you learn to turn your opacity down on your sketch layer instead of recoloring it to a lighter color so you can tell when you're lining on your sketch layer.

I developed a defensive mechanism to prevent me doing this. I make the sketch opacity lower (50% or so) out of reflex when I'm done with it. This way if I try to draw the lineart on it, I will notice it immediately.

If you're gonna shill your story, please try to properly shill it.
You've given us almost nothing to convince us to read it. You didn't tell us who you are. You say nothing about who or what the story is about and assume that whoever is reading your post will automatically know what you're talking about. I know that authors often don't want to give away too many details but you've given almost none at all.
The only indication that I had that it's a SS story is the outline of a character on your image. However, that character is not discernible from just the thumbnail of the image. Anyone just scrolling through may just see an all beige thumbnail and an overly vague summary and just ignore it. Because like I've said, there is nothing to entice anyone to read your fic.
You can have written the best story in the history of /ztg/, but what's the point is no one sees it?

While that's a kind sentiment and I don't disagree with it maybe being less eye catching, I still stand by the points I made. I didn't give it an apt description, but I also felt that saying the premise the TT, combined with the style of the title card and saying it was about a friend visiting another, would give plenty of indication of what it was about.

The titlecard IS a bit different from the other ones, but only in that I wanted to give the snow the largest focus, so there was no outline. That could rightly be on me, but giving Hugh an outline and not the snow would look terrible. I did it for artistic purposes, because I know it'd look worse.

That may work to its detriment and making it less 'poppy', but it would have been an uglier picture.

The colors, writing on the card, and link are indication enough of what it is, but I'll admit it wouldn't draw anyone new in.

Then again, I assumed everyone who wants to read it is already doing so, and that might be a stupid assumption too. Not that I wouldn't like more people to read it, you're right. The problem is not wanting to jam things down people's throats. It's something that genuinely terrified me the other night.

I don't like drawing attention to myself, and that may be a small part of why I try to get my work to stand on its own away from me.

I'm digressing. And rambling.

I'm trying to say you're not incorrect in that it was a weak shill, but most of the people who read my stuff already knew what it was. Had you clicked on it with a better shill, would you have read it? Not to put you on the spot, but I ask because, since you don't care for OCs, I assume you wouldn't have.

Still, like I said at the start, I'm glad you clarified and the sentiment is nice.
